Here on business. Staff were exceptional on valet, bar, dining, housekeeping. Absolutely top notch. My complaint would be the bed was not comfortable and the noise was constant. Between the street sounds which I don't blame the hotel for that, but the doors slamming and some thunking sound that went on repetively all night on both nights we were there made sleeping difficult. Great location for sightseeing and shopping.

My friend and I took a tour of the city in the pouring rain and finally had enough of being drenched outside and decided to go to a high tea. After a week long family vacation we needed some alone time . Although we were only there for two nights we really loved it . Beautiful hotel , amazing staff , breakfast was incredible and the sabering of the champagne ritual was pretty cool . I love staying at this hotel because it's totally glamorous and just a lovely St. Regis experience. When you walk in, you are in awe of the beautiful hotel lobby as it were from the Gilded Age. I've stayed at the St. Regis in DC 3 times, most recently in Spring 2013. For that stay, I was in a Caroline Astor Suite. The St. Regis DC is in a gorgeous historic building, and has decor that reflects its vintage nature. Simply the best hotel I've stayed at in Washington. The experience begins at check in with a quick arrival and (fortunately) an upgrade to a corner suite. (I'm an SPG Platinum). My suite was huge. Recently stayed at the St Regis for an overnight visit to DC with a few girl friends. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Our rooms were quite spacious. The staff greeted us with a smile as we arrived and were prompt with addressing any questions or requests. The location is perfect if you're looking for something in the heart of DC. Beyond compare. From the moment you walk into the front desk to housekeeping to food and beverage this hotel is impeccable. What is most impactful is the fact that the staff remembers you and recognizes you by NAME....from the doorman to the concierge. Stayed here for a night over New Year's Eve-- and it met expectations. Room was tiny... not much space to "hang out" per se, but this was to be expected. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St. Regis DC over July 4th. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They arranged a nice welcome amenity for my Mothers birthday. I will say the staff, the location and the public rooms are all fabulous. The service was impeccable. When we arrived the room wasn't ready so they treated us to a drink in the bar. When we got to the room, the butler brought us ice. The hotel and room were gorgeous. My husband loved the electric mirror in the bathroom, which has a built in television. Can't ask for a better place to stay in Washington.

We checked into a Grand Luxe Room, which was spacious and most importantly had a sofa bed for the kids. The staff and service was impeccable, as expected form St. Regis. We had a great stay at the St. Regis. Beautiful central location. The concierge was very helpful, and provided tickets and passes to avoid lines to the nearby museums. The hotel bar was a great respite from the heat. Yared makes a mean Pisco Sour and was generally really knowledgeable and friendly. Only downside was that the room phone did not work and we didn't see a business center.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff are among the best in the world - so thoughtful and attentive. The hotel is quite ornate, but feels comfortable. The room size is not spectacular, but well-maintained and nicely-appointed. Tuna tartare from room service was delicious. The location is also excellent - arrived in D.C. during rush hour and therefore took the metro. Quite quick commute on the metro from Union Station to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

I had very high expectations coming to Washington to stay at the St Regis Hotel. My expectations were exceeded. We stayed in the St Regis Suite. Yes its very expensive but wow was it worth it! The hotel is beautiful, with a stunning lobby and equally exceptional service. My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary after eating at the restaurant on-site. It is more of an elegant old school luxury hotel, but that was perfect for this trip. Room was nicely appointed and even had a TV in the bathroom mirror. Hotel was walking distance to the White House and other sites in DC.

I stayed in the hotel with my wife and son. The rooms were as announced on the website. The hotel lobby is as beautifull as on the website pictures. Breakfast was very good. We also had dinner in the restaurant and that was also very good. All staff are very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is situated very close to the White House, and is ideal for a visit to the city. As a frequent traveler, this was my 1,000th night stay with the SPG Brand. Everyone at the St. Regis went above & beyond to make my stay special! We stayed at the hotel during the summer and the staff was amazing. They accommodating all of our requests (early checkin, late checkin, crib, etc). They even provided family tips and a gift for our son. The concierge (Leslie) was one of the best we've ever had, she had great suggestions and advice for any places we wanted to visit (i.e. Eastern Market vs. Union Market, Logan Circle vs Shaw street, good activities for babies). The lobby of the St Regis is amaming, european decor gives you the feeling of luxury. The rooms are standard and small, with average views. The staff are attentive and very helpful. The resturant and bar was comfortable and cozy. I enjoyed my stay here.

Stayed there in the past but found it increasingly dark & tired. Was told they redid the place so we gave it a try. Well, they only redid the lobby, the rooms were old, smelly and had a nonsensical layout/furnishings. The front desk relocated us to a different room but it was worse (smelled of stale cigarette smoke, curtains didn't close all the way, missing furniture, etc.). An unexpected business trip put in DC for the night. Ordinarily the St. Regis would have been outside of my travel budget but our client was able to provide access to a better overnight rate. This is an extraordinary hotel and a reminder of first class hotels that delivery a top quality room, service and ambiance. Strongly recommended if you need some comfort, solitude and a to relax.

St. Regis holds its reputation at this location. It is a delightful hotel. We did have a conference here and it was not the best space for the conference but it worked. The main bathrooms are downstairs so a bit inconvenient but I am willing to accept that because of the location and atmosphere. I ate here for lunch and had great fries and a beer salad.

3 nights here, exquisite accommodations, suite was large, comfortable and had everything we needed, there were 6 of us in adjoining suites. Breakfast was excellent, facility was very clean, staff was very professional and courteous. Great restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

We'll run, good staff but the place is feeling tired. How could a business hotel in the middle of DC not have a gym? Great location but not much else to recommend it. Staff was great and responsive. Try the Ritz instead.

This is not a hotel I would have ordinarily chosen, we usually prefer a hotel with a gym and pool, but we were in town for a wedding with our son and his wife and they chose and paid for this hotel. We had a suite, which had no view, a bathroom that needs updating with a comfort heigh commode, a railing, and clothes hook in the toilet stall, but lovely furnishings and a thoughtful compliment of toiletries. I was really excited to stay at the St. Regis in Washington DC after my first stay at the beautiful St. Regis in Princeville. I was disappointed with this stay and won't stay here again. We were looking forward to tea at the St. Regis, but we were overly optimistic that this vaulted brand would exhibit its noted excellence in its afternoon tea. My husband and I spent a week at this hotel and were really pleased with the luxury of the hotel and the excellent food, and especially with the service! From the friendly doormen to the attentive wait staff to the wonderful concierges, we felt welcomed and well-attended. We especially appreciated JF, our favorite concierge (and all of the concierges ) for their right- on restaurant and sightseeing recommendations...they made our visit to the nation's Capitol very special!

I stay here 2 times a year for business meetings and I will say they always treat me fantastic. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The doormen are the best and full of great tips! These are the nicest rooms you will come across...Great locatiomn!

We were in DC for a convention and stayed at the St Regis. Walking distance to everything! The only time I got a cab was to visit Georgetown. 2 blocks to the White House and a leisure walk to the National Mall. Excellent 4 and 5star restaurants within walking distance too! My husband and I travel a lot, we stayed here because he was working in DC... Lovely property, classy and beautiful hotel, the staff is one of the best of many hotels we stayed in. Rooms are very nice, food is excellent and the whole experience was perfect! Looking forward to staying at the St Regis again!!

As repeat visitors here we were not disappointed by the standards that we found in our first time to this beautiful hotel. The lobby furniture has been replaced since we were here not too long ago and it is very special. We saw 2 weddings (receptions) taking place at the venue while we were there which added a good deal of excitement and fun to the energy, not hat it was lacking.

compared to all the other st regis hotels i visited, this is definitely the least spectacular one... normal rooms, nothing fancy...nice hotel but thats it...i expect little more from this chain the food is also little above average...again...not what one expects

As we only had 4 nights in Washington DC, we wanted something central and classy. We hit the jackpot. From lovely Michelle, the concierge, to Casey, our favourite breakfast host, we couldn't fault it. Except .... we love tea making facilities in our room so we can have a cup before bed. My sister and I stayed here for a week recently. The location is great but what impressed us most was the level of service. Our room on the 6th floor looked out onto the street, and though it wasn't particularly large it was very comfortable, clean, light and quiet. Excellent service, great location on 16th st about 4 blocks north of the White House. Very surprised at how quiet our room was. Although it was facing 16th St we heard no street traffic. To the point: This property was the perfect downtown location for my trip. Two blocks from the white house and a 20min walk/6 min cab ride to the convention center. Oh my, the St Regis DC is a superb hotel, from reception through to departure, nothing too much trouble. Situated two blocks from the White House, it is close to the action. Definitely stay there if your budget permits.

The St. Regis in DC is a lovely hotel with great service. The rooms are very nice and well maintained, although a bit on the small side. No gym currently on premises which is unfortunate. The food is very good albeit quite expensive. Beds are extremely comfy, bathrooms very nice. Suites are large and luxurious. Great location.

This hotel is well situated in DC ie you will be very close to e running important for s business person. The rooms have a Victorian / antique feel. The reception has Victorian opulent feel while the rooms have an antique feel.

Positive The service in this hotel is impeccable! All of the employees go out of the way for your requests. The location is within a two minute walk to the White House. The lobby is gorgeous!
