We chose this hotel based on a special from an app, and were very, very pleased with our choice. It checked off all the boxes, great location with easy access to transportation, a comfortable room, close to good restaurants, an in-hotel restaurant for convenience, and a friendly staff. They make a good first impression with the staff at the door (very welcoming), a gorgeous lobby, and a simple check-in process. The room we received was spacious, and stylishly decorated. We had a king suite, an... Read more

Decided to stay one night before leaving DC and went with a King Suite in order to fit four people. Compare to other hotels in DC the price was quite good. The room had a pull out bed a private room with a king bed and a desk are as well as a big bathroom. Valet parking was a bit pricey but no unusual for a big city as DC. Being February the whole hotel is on heater so if you want a cooler room you will have to deal with the street noise since you will have to open a window. The decor is modern ... Read more

Staff excellent , very friendly. Arleen on the Front desk and Conrado the Restaurant Maitre d" were standouts. We stayed at the Melrose for two nights. Great location. The minute you walk in the doors the staff couldn't have been nicer. All were friendly, smiling and helpful. The room was very comfortable with water and snacks for us. We had one lunch and two breakfasts which were very good. The waiters were terrific. Loved the coffee. Meant to ask what brand they use. Had a drink at the bar one night which was lovely. Not one complaint about this hotel. From the start to finish it made our tr... Read more

I took my daughter to DC to visit Georgetown and George Washington Universities. The Melrose Georgetown was located in the perfect spot from which we could walk to both. Besides the great location (a very short walk to Georgetown's M Street), we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful throughout our brief stay and the hotel was comfortable and clean with a very nice if somewhat pricey breakfast (in fairness, no more pricey than most hotel breakfasts).

My wife and I stayed here in February of 2015. We were very pleased with the beauty of the hotel. It was quite cold during our visit, and we were here during Valentines. Jardenea was booked, but they allowed us to order from the full menu at the bar in the restaurant. The dining was exquisite, and we were very pleased. Our only snafu at the hotel was when housekeeping entered our room while it was occupied without knocking, but the hotel concierge quickly addressed and apologized for the issue. ... Read more

The room was spacious and well appointed. Staff was excellent and the lobby was beautiful. This was our first time at this hotel. We selected it based on location and a good deal offered through booking on Trip Advisor. We like to walk and the hotel was a convenient walk to shopping in Georgetown, entertainment on U Street and museums in town. All in all, we loved this hotel.

Great location and great hotel for the price. My room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to shopping in Georgetown and there are many restaurants options nearby. It's easy access to downtown.
