Business meetings bring me to the hotel several times a year. I am environmentally focused and enjoy patronizing a LEED Silver property. I was fortunate to find availability for the inauguration and had a wonderful stay. The room was perfect and impeccably clean with a great view facing Massachusetts Avenue. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant starts at 6:30 AM with an amazing buffet which we enjoyed before walking to the Capitol.Throughout the hotel the staff was friendly and helpful at every tur... Granted I prefer smaller boutique type hotel, so these are the pros and cons as I see them. Staff was universally friendly, so no complaints there. Housekeeping was nonexistent one day, when we were out of the room all day, had to call for fresh towels and made our own beds. Food was average, but expensive in main lobby restaurant. Room service is limited and comes in plastic containers. Rooms amenities were average business class. Location is fairly good, six or seven blocks to National Mall, b... Read more

The service was good, hotel very clean, staff friendly and accommodating. It's not the most memorable place you'll every stay, but if you are going to a conference there, you won't be disappointed with the hotel.

This is the third time I've stayed here and again was pleased. From the check-in to check-out the service and cleanliness was top notch. I was attending a major conference and even though there was a lot of people, I did not feel crowded. The rooms showed that house keeping cared about it being clean and comfortable. Kudos to the staff.

I am getting to the p Fres Breakfast food in the M Lounge was good but not great. Not all of us prefer fat free yogurts or turkey bacon. Give choices. Fresh fruit was good. Check in and out and valet were all prompt and friendly

My husband and I had a happy hour in the city and I had to attend an early morning conference the next day. We decided to kill two birds with one stone and booked a stay at the Marriott Marquis. The location for me was terrific...it is right next door to the Convention Center. The hotel is fairly new so I was excited to experience it. We booked via Expedia and check-in was a breeze. The room was nice and clean. The two issues we had were: 1) cold shower water in the morning and 2) mis-informatio... Read more

This was my first visit to this property, but I came to see the high quality service and rooms that I am used to seeing with Marriott properties. My room was always quickly and effectively cleaned, the lounge breakfasts were always decent, and all staff I encountered were pleasant, polite, and overall cheerful. The room was very comfortable and I love the internet TV options now in the room so I can fire up Netflix. The room was in excellent shape as was the entire hotel.

I was charged $182 for a stay I did not make, even after having cancelled the reservation 10 days prior to the stay I initially reserved. This was *not* a non-refundable reservation. I called Marriott Reservations after discovering the charge on my credit card to point out that I had a cancellation confirmation and that I'd stayed at a different Marriott that night; they contacted the Marquis to request a refund. The hotel subsequently called me, but did not apologize for the error. They merely ... Read more
