The Marriott Marquis Washington is a relatively new hotel adjacent to the Washington convention center. About half of the rooms overlook a large atrium/lobby at the core of the hotel. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Our bathroom had a spacious glass enclosed step-in shower (no tub) and lots of counter space around the sink. There is a Starbucks and an informal cafe in the lobby, but no dining room. Room service comes in boxes packed into a shopping bag (no roll-in table) and the f... Read more

I stayed here while attending a Conference. I arrived at 10am and was planning on checking in and leaving my bags. As I thought rooms wouldn't be ready this early. However the very friendly check in agent said that a room was available for me to check into. So I went up to my room that overlooked the Atrium. The room was very clean. The bed and pillows were perfect. The next morning when I went to use the iron in the room I noticed it did not work. Luckily I was able to wear my clothes without n... Read more

Stayed for a conference, room rates high. Service was excellent all the way around. Didn't eat at the restaurant but menu looked good. They do have a Starbucks available and CVS within a short walking distance.

I attended a conference in Washington DC in January 2017. The conference was held at the Marriot Marquis and I also stayed there. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The housekeeping was a little late on the upkeep of my room. I was always out of my room by 8, but when I would return at 2, my room had not been serviced. Not a huge deal, but something I noticed. The room service was prompt, as I arrived late and hadn't eaten supper. I would definitely recommend a room overlook... Read more

This hotel was perfect. I stayed here on a business trip. The hotel was massive and had many rooms and ballrooms for business meetings and conferences. The Marriott Marquis was everything you would expect in an upscale hotel, in the heart of Washington DC; including the nightly room charge $$. On a cold Winter day, you would never have to leave the hotel to venture outdoors, the hotel has every accommodation you will need.

The property is incredibly well maintained, the rooms tastefully furnished, bedding new and crisp, and the room very clean. The location easily permits access to all sections of the District via cab. The bellman, porters, and concierge were exceptional and make the visit appropriately sophisticated.

We stayed here for the Presidential Inauguration. Apparently, this was THE place to stay as we ran into many celebrities in the lobby area. Hotel is pure elegance. Staff was professional and friendly. All rooms overlook an atrium wherein you can oversee the bar, lobby, restaurants and heart of the hotel. The Anthem Buffet was ok. Stay away from the scrambled eggs. They were VERY runny, not very tasty at all. Hotel is conveniently located. Parking is an additional $47.00 a day (all valet... Read more

Lucky enough to get a room for a couple on nights during the Inauguration and Women's March The room was booked using Marriott Rewards points [70,000 for the stay]. Dollar rates were listed as $900 per night. And this was for Platinum members. The hotel is about six blocks from the National Mall and the Museums. Several restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel which has seven restaurants of its own. The hotel's M Lounge, had comp breakfast and evening snacks. WiFi is a nice f... Read more

My wife and I were in town for the Women's March on D.C. We stayed at the Marriot Friday-Monday. We were lucky enough to be on the concierge floor. This floor comes with access to the M Lounge. Great for a quick breakfast! The hotel is beautiful and is located within walking distance to everything D.C. The room was very clean and offered recycling. The valet parking is also very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the D.C. area. The atrium view is worth it!!
