Room are great, location is great, nearby restaurants and grocery stores, attractions are also some where near. Staff was really bad, lot of waiting time on everything starting from check-in, getting into elevator(You need to wait 10-15 min for your turn), breakfast(30 min-35 min), check out. Parking is over charged l($42 + Tax / per night).

Spent 7 nights at this hotel. When we arrived we were given a room with a pullout couch that slept 1 and a Queen size bed for 4 Adults. They quickly put us in a room with a full size pullout couch so we all slept comfortably. I would recommend checking on the size of the pullout couch if you plan on using it. The rooms were absolutely wonderful. The best part was the breakfast and evening social. Once they get their alcohol up and running for the evening social, it will be even better. I a... Read more

Since the hotel has only been open about a month, it was as immaculate as I expected it to be. The front desk staff is what made my stay especially good, with their great service. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the convention center and Metro station, or 15-20 minutes into the heart of downtown, but the hotel seems somehow off the beaten path. Would definitely stay again.

Love this place and the Homewood Suites brand. You get a comfortable room with all the amenities for a short or long stay. Having stayed at three different locations Miami/Brickell, Charlottesville, and now the DC/Convention Center location, the rooms are a little smaller at this location (but comfortable), so if you can pay a little more to get the 1BDRM suite as it will give you a little more space and separate bdrm. I had only one issue with my shower door continuing to slide open but other than that it was a great stay. Just remember the $42.00 Valet is per night, which is the average in that area. We were looking for a location close to the mall and museums, as well as to the Nationals Ballpark. This new hotel was 3 blocks from the green line, a straight shot to both areas, a 24 hour Safeway across the street, and several good restaurants within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful; I have stayed in 5 star properties that didn't have the pleasant customer first attitude this staff had. Rooms were modern, well laid out and with nice finishes. This is a new Homewood Suites that my bet is in the next 3-4 months we won't be able to get a room. It is very close to the convention center. The hotel has only been open for a couple of months. It needs a detail oriented management team to pull it together. In my room the door was hard to open and stuck and need fixing. the cleaning crew went in and out and they obviously never reported the problem. Needed a place for a non-night visit to DC for the Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream event held in NW Washington. Chose this hotel for location and Hilton Honors. This was my first stay in this brand and both my wife and I came away quite satisfied with our experience. The place is new and well maintained. The staff was very well trained and went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. The room was fantastic. All in all a great visit.

The suites are beautiful. The lobby is beautiful. One of few hotels we found with free breakfast. Not only that, had free appetizers from 5-7pm! For the same price (and many times, even less) as a small hotel room, you can get a suite. I would recommend this place to anyone and honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else if I return (and want to stay in the Chinatown/Capitol hill area). It's just a really good deal and problem-free place.

I just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel. I was particularly impressed by the staff, who were extraordinarily friendly, in an efficient and professional manner. This is a relatively new property -- good soundproofing, comfortable furnishings, sparkling clean. My only complaint is that there is not a closer Metro stop; it's about a 10 minute walk from the Gallery Place/ Chinatown stop -- ordinarily not a particularly onerous walk but a bit long with luggage.
