Upon arrival, I checked in with the front desk. I was traveling with 3 other adults, and an infant. We arrived at 5:00pm and I was told that our room was not ready (check-in is 3:00pm). I advised the front desk that I had an infant and could not wait 30 minutes for the room to become available. At that time, the front desk clerk called Housekeeping, and switched us to a different room. I then asked for a luggage cart, as we had many items to bring up to the room, including a portable crib (pack ... Read more

The room was spacious, newly renovated and very clean. We checked in with the Hilton app on my cellphone which saved a lot of time at the front desk. It allowed us to pick a room, which was ready when we got there. They had coffee and tea available 24 hours and a good continental breakfast. In addition, the hotel was conveniently located near several restaurants, grocery stores and a mall.

We spent 6 nights at this hotel. The room, although a bit dark, was very clean and comfortable. Staff was quite pleasant. Only complaint is the breakfast. The steam table food is very tiresome. The eggs are watery, the other selections are soggy, and the waffle station is always a mess. There are another of excellent breakfast places in the area. Best part of stay is that htere is a beautiful walking path in the forest right behind the hotel

Traveled to Wilmington on business and was very pleased with the hotel's accommodations. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was no noise and the area had restaurants and shopping all close by. I did not eat at the evening or morning buffet but they did offer a variety of food/drinks.

The staff were excellent at making you feel comfortable and at home. The breakfast and hot and delicious and presented well. The eating area was clean at all times. The staff kept up with cleaning tables immediately after a party left. The lounge was spotless and restful enough to actually work from the area.

Staff had trouble processing credit card. When they called my room to let me know, I called my provider, who quickly explained that the hotel entered the wrong expiration date. I explained this at the front desk, where two employees disagreed on how to proceed. After much discusdion, and several unsuccessful attempts, one gentleman manually keyed in the information. Problem solved, but I was way more involved than was necessary Additionally, there was rarely anyone manning the front desk whe... Read more

I left my iPhone charger in the suite. I realized this and called them within a few hours of checking out. Fortunately, the suite was not booked and no one had checked into that $300/night suite. Nonetheless, after 3 days of repeated phone calls, the manager, Butterbaugh, was completely indifferent and declared that I must be lying about leaving it in the room.

I cannot express how satisfied I am with the cleanliness of the rooms. The suite is well appointed and offers dine-in option very easily, which we did. Full kitchen. The bedroom is separate from the kitchen and living room area, another plus! Would highly recommend.

There is probably no better hotel to stay at if you are away on a long trip. Staff is super friendly, rooms are well laid out and thoughtfully furnished. I found my room in perfect order every evening when I returned. For this particular hotel, I believe their strength is the staff. They make you feel welcome and go out of their way to fulfill your needs. The other strength is their proximity to some very good restaurants right next to the hotel.

I stay at this location 2-3 weeks a month and overall, the hotel is nice and the staff friendly and helpful. My two issues are: 1. The internet goes out on a routine basis. 2. I had a top floor room (it's only 4 stories high) close to the elevator so I worried about noise. There wasn't any. Somehow, my bedroom was a little bigger with a 'nook' for a reading chair, end table, and lamp. My only knock, and this is petty, is that you have to activate the ice maker in the freezer and wait for ice. I understand hygiene and safety and that it should be empty and clean when I arrive. I have called for ice before and they will deliver a bucket so it's really not an issue.

Stayed here for three nights with my youngest son and his family in a separate suite. We were celebrating Thanksgiving with my oldest son and his family who lived in a Neighborhood which was 5 minutes away. Had a great time because this location is also accessible to shopping, interstate, restaurants etc.

I also made my reservation on line for a room that was advertised with a fireplace. Found out ... Read more

They are nice and clean big comfortable suites. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We asked for a last minute room change and it was no problem at all.

From initial reservation - through stay - through checkout- staff exceptionally accommodating. Suites beautifully laid out. Great breakfast. Most definitely would recommend Homewood Suites to anyone visiting Wilmington, DE area.
