Requested an ocean front room and we did get that but during the reservation we had asked for a room on a higher level and they did not attempt to accommodate the request when I asked. The room was just above boardwalk level, fortunately it was off season and the pool was not open so it was relatively quiet. The room was extremely small and you could barely turn around in the bathroom. The balcony looked out on the ocean with two chairs but not even a small table to set a cup of tea. Their rest... It's a classic beach "hotel" (although I agree with the reviewer who called this a "motel"); the location is fantastic and all you have to do is walk out the front and you're on the boardwalk and beach. In season (apparently the week before Memorial Day to Labor Day), you can rent umbrellas and chairs, but if you are there during any other time (apparently classified as "Winter"), then good luck and most businesses are closed on the boardwalk, except Thursday to Sunday, and those that are open,... Check in was uneventful and the staff was pleasant except for check out the gentleman was quite rude to myself and other patrons. The room could use some updating and we stayed in the king corner ambassador that over looks the boardwalk and ocean. This room is suppose to be one of their updated room which was sadly far from it, you could tell they tried though. The bathroom needs a complete demo and update, I'm 5"1 and the vanity was almost mid thigh slightly lower. There is no vent fan, no real ... Read more

Atlantic Sands is in a great location. All the shops are in walking distance and the beach is in front of you. If you want an oceanfront view it costs a little more but it's worth it. I don't recommend this fir the first floor though. The pool railings are in the way and it gives you a partial view at best. I've stayed here a couple times and the location and price is why I go back. The staff are very nice. There is an elevator in the building but it is so old and slow. I have bad knees so even ... The staff was pleasant. Had a problem checking in. The hotel did not recognize my booking through customer service had to be called to confirm my reservation from a fax was requested to be sent to the resort butt the fax was not turned on. We would not have wasted an hour if they had only checked the fax power source. I gave the hotel a 3â?? the place was a little dated. The furniture look like they went to a thrift store. A few friends and I had to drive to Delaware for an event and decided to stay in Rehoboth for the night and enjoy a beach day! We booked our room last week and just 2 days ago I read some of the reviews on here. I was terrified of what we were going to be walking into .. However, the fact that the manager professionally comments on all these reviews, really shows the dedication and passion this hotel has to making the experience absolutely perfect for its guests. We stayed here 6-5-16 thru 6-11-16. We really enjoyed our stay. The view was great and the staff was friendly. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. The breakfast buffet was delicious and Lauren, the Director of Food Services was so nice and friendly. She is doing a great job. The outside grill was great. Pete's rum runners can't be beat and the nachos are the best. We had a very relaxing week and the weather was perfect!

Stayed for a week at the Atlantic Sands during the first week of June 2016. Although the age of the building shows, they were busy upgrading the rooms, and the service was excellent. As special shout out to Food & Beverage Manager Lauren McFoy and her staff, particularly Emalina, Joe, and Paul, and certainly all the rest of the staff - they were attentive, friendly and a joy to have with us. This hotel was average. Nothing to complain about, but definitely in need of upgrades. They are able to charge a lot since they are on the board walk in Rehoboth, but this is definitely a no frills hotel. Room was average. Clean and adequate. We didn't spend much time in the room so it was fine for what we needed it for- sleeping. We would stay here again in the off season, but would never stay during the high season as the price does not match what you get.

This was our second time staying at this hotel and we had a much better experience. The hotel seems to be better maintained than our previous visit (2012), although the décor is still dated. And the biggest improvement was the staff. Every person we interacted with was nice and polite. We got an upgrade, too, for no apparent reason. The best part about this hotel is the short walking distance to the ocean and easy access to a nice outdoor pool with a poolside waitstaff. I was pleased that an umbrella and 2 chairs were included for the beach as well as free parking for one car. The room was clean but rather plain. We were told Atlantic Sands would be a great place to stay. We were very disappointed seeing it as a run down, very low class hotel. Even worse to me was wanting the oceanfront balcony to enjoy. The balcony on oceanfront side is small and has a glass enclosure upto about 3 feet meaning not only is the nice breeze blocked when seated, but the AC unit's fumes are collected in the small area as well. I couldn't bare more than ten minutes. Very disappointed in that aspect.
