Excellent accommodations and a great hug breakfast every morning with attentive service staff in the restaurant. The only problem is the refrigerator in the safe seem to be "hidden" and once found you can understand why the cabinet cover under the sink continues to fall off because people repeatedly look for the refrigerator

While the location is good, that is about the only thing positive I can say about this hotel. The bathrooms in the rooms are a joke. Outdated by at least 15 years with rust and mildew very apparent. The architecture of the hotel with the 6 story atrium is awful if there is any event going on which we had both nights. The 2 night minimum we had at the rates they charge is a joke considering the college isn't even in session. The pool was literally a cesspool with floating pools of hair throu... Read more

Very spacious accommodation with a lounge and bedroom. The room is very functional and clean. The hotel offers shuttle services to and from a Shopping Mall which was very good for my wife. Ample parking and well situated. The only area of improvement is the adjacent restaurant TGIF -- not good. Rather ask reception for a nice seafood restaurant near by. The breakfast was very good, with the cook being very pleasant efficient and quite a character

The Embassy Suites is a nice enough hotel. The beds/pillows were very comfy. The breakfast had a lot to choose from, so even the pickiest folks have options. The staff was friendly. Where the property falls short is a basic design flaw. I realize that the property was probably at capacity, but rooms centered around a six story atrium makes for very noisy rooms. It was like a funnel of noise radiating up 6 floors from the common areas in the lobby. Rooms that back to the road are faced with both ... Read more

The complimentary happy hour, breakfast, cleanliness of suite and appearance of the central atrium made this very memorable. The staff in the atrium quickly cleared plates and cups during happy hour and breakfast, and did so with a smile. The hotel shuttle got our party to Main Street in Newark quickly and without incident. I would definitely return.

This is our 4th College graduation (2nd in Newark, DE) and this was by far the best hotel experience we ever had during a graduation weekend. The staff went out of their way to make sure all of us were taken care of during a very busy and crowded weekend. What a great place for alumni to get together and reminisce. The rooms were very large , clean and the beds very comfortable. All the staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to assist us. The lobby was great where we all could sit and chat. The breakfast area was large and opened early each day. Great choices for everyone. Even though there was a lot going on at the hotel it was very quiet at night. Close to everything for a great weekend

We have been staying at Embassy Suites for many years, this one for the last 6 years. It is a good hotel but it is starting to show signs of wear and tear, in particular, housekeeping. This trip a "clean" towel was stained; the bathroom sink had a SLOW drain and the shower curtain hooks were bent which prevented the curtain from hanging properly causing water onto the floor. Two years ago the hotel refurbished the rooms, replacing furniture and a slight modification in design...neither an impro... Read more

The staff were very friendly but this hotel is over priced for its condition. Our meeting room was never vacuumed or table cloths changed the entire 3 days of our meeting. Knats and other insects were in the meeting room and around the food that was placed on the table for breaks and such. Friday's restaurant that is attached does not have good food either. Very outdated hotel.

Sadly we got here a bit late to explore much but the location is right next to the lovely University of Delaware campus. The suites have plenty of room and even the sofabed was comfy. Breakfast was great as well as the customer service. I was even impressed with the on site Fridays. As we got there late after a long drive I was in need of a beer and the Friday's has a large bar with lots of TV's and an impressive selection including local craft beers.

The hotel is nice, but still has some issues that need to be resolved. Bathroom fans are incredibly loud and can't be turned off without turning the lights off too, so be prepared to get ready in the dark. Also, the hotel bar is a Friday's .. which isn't necessarily bad but they have their own activities separate from the hotel. Hope you didn't have plans to sit at the hotel bar with coworkers on a Wednesday night, because the bar is closed for private events on Wednesday nights.

We detoured here on a longer road trip. Hotel was buzzing with visiting lacrosse teams and staff warned us it might be noisy. (All rooms face a central atrium.) They offered to upgrade us to a corner suite with our infant. Although room seemed a bit dated, it was very comfortable and indeed quiet. And the breakfast was a true buffet-style affair. Great that it's included in the rate.

My overall visit at this hotel was good. I have only one suggestion. Some hotels do put a water dispenser in the lobby with either lemon water or a bowl of lemon slices nearby. I say this because my husband is now suffering with kidney stones as a result of limited access to filtered water. your front desk people were great. they responded to any issue i had. Your cleaning staff are a bit lacking. for 2 of the day's there they removed towels in the bath only. I was there 4 day's. They didn't restock or clean bath. Called front desk and they sent supplies.don't know if cleaning people ever came.

Return visit to this property and it never disappoints! Great location right on Univ. of Delaware campus. Newly renovated- rooms are fresh and new as well as the rest of the property. Breakfast and evening reception a big plus. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will return.

We stayed here for 2 nights during family weekend at the University of Delaware. All the rooms surround a central courtyard. We were on the 6th floor which is the highest floor. My son was sleeping on the couch in the living room said the noise downstairs made sleeping difficult. From the bedroom, it was very quiet. The hotel is across the street from the UD athletic facilities so you can walk across the street. The breakfast buffet was nice with made to order omelets. We didn't attend the ev... Read more

Stayed in Hotel because it was close to the University of Delaware. The hotel was fine, room was clean and very convenient to U Del . I had several issues with the Hotel. 1. The hotel is used for outside events and makes the lobby very noisy. There was a birthday party underneath our room and the music was playing until after 12 midnight. 2. The elevators are very slow and you are constantly in very crowded elevators. The stairs are hidden so you are almost forced to wait for the elevato... Read more

Came to visit with my niece who attends UD. This hotel is right across from the football stadium. It was a convenient location with ease of driving to and from the main part of campus and the main part of town. You could walk as well if you wanted to and weather permitted. We had a spacious room that was updated and clean. The hotel itself was updated and bright. Glass elevators were a plus since I do not like elevators. We were able to check in early without issue except that the room I had cho... Read more

Outstanding property across the street from the University of Delaware Athletic Complex. Very nice suites with an evening social every evening, and full breakfast with made to order eggs if desired. Nice selection of fruit; cereal; bagels; pastries; pancakes; french toast, coffee and juices. Always enjoy our stay!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel this past Sunday night. It was a last minute decision to break up our trip home so we made the reservation on the phone with Hilton Honors Sunday morning. It was quick and easy. The hotel is located just north of I -95 in Newark right by the University of Delaware. Checking in was quick. The front desk staff at check in and check out were very efficient and friendly. The complimentary happy hour was great. Nice snacks and the bar tender was very good. It... Read more

This is a great hotel to stay in on the opposite side of town. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle or very inexpensive uber's to get to town. The rooms are large, always clean, and the staff is always nice. It never gets too crowded for breakfast or use of the pool/hot tub. This place is highly recommended. Food is always hott, ready/made to order. A must stay when visiting the school

This is your typical ES, showing a little wear but still comfortable and convenient. It is close to I-95 and ideal if you are visiting U Del. There is an adjoining TGI Fridays that also provides room service and there is a wide variety of restaurants close by as well. The complimentary breakfast was just so-so. I didn't partake in the evening cocktail hour. There is ample, well lit parking with at least one charging station that I saw. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

We hadn't stayed here in about 2 years. We were very pleasantly surprised with the new modern furniture. The bed was very comfortable - very nice brunch. The overall suite was spacious. It's sometimes tough to get reservations.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites Newark for a few nights on a business trip. This Embassy Suites is like most others with the open atrium and the surrounding rooms. The hotel provided happy hour and breakfast each day. This was a good perk and the staff was very nice and attentive. The hotel has a TGI Friday's restaurant attached to it which makes it convenient for dinner after work. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers.

Nice hotel. Rooms are updated except our bathroom was not updated. Staff was friendly. We had to leave around 6:30am on Saturday so we were disappointed that the cook to order breakfast didn't start earlier on the weekend so we didn't get to enjoy it. During the week it starts at 6:30a but on the weekend it starts at 7a. Otherwise the hotel was nice. I would return again.

A family member had a wedding at this hotel due to family being from different states. I was very happy staying here. For the price, it was the nicest hotel we've stayed at in quite a while, and we had a blast at the wedding!

We have stayed Embassy Suites Newark for the last 10 years and this year was wonderful. The staff is amazing. A big thank you to Val at the front desk for your hospitality! She took care of us all weekend and we really appreciate it. The rooms are wonderful and the suites are great for groups. If you are going into the area we highly suggest this hotel!

My friends and I travels from Bloomsburg, PA to watch the Delaware Blue Hens football team play Villanova. I decided to use my Hilton Hhonors points at a nice hotel. Very grateful I chose this hotel. By far the nicest and cleanest hotel yet. They made us feel like celebrities. Highly recommend.

Loud and lots of people drinking heavily in the lobby. Service is faulty and not impressive. Otherwise, somewhat nice hotel besides the hot stairwell and only one staircase to the lobby. Otherwise, terrible service, one of the worst I've ever seen at a hotel, and that is mostly the summary of this hotel. Sloppy service.

This was my third visit to Newark. The Embassy Suites was always my first preference. This time I arrived early and my room was ready. The hotel staff were so nice as always. The staff working in the restaurant were all excellent.
