$90 was well spent. Comfortable room - wonderful ride to the airport and back - a safe place to leave our car! Left for the airport before breakfast but were given Coffee and yogurt for the road. Ryan was exceptional! We will definitely use HillsPoint again

We stayed here once through a Hotwire "deal" and vowed not to again. I rolled the dice on an inexpensive rate last weekend and unfortunately got this place again. I booked the hotel and then found out after paying that it was the HillsPoint and there is no way to change or cancel afterward. This is NOT a 3-star property. The place is apparently in foreclosure and they appear to be hanging on by a thread. The staff has no uniform or nametags so it looks as though some random people are at th... Read more

This place is fair for its price. bedding, shower, towels are nice and clean,.....carpet and curtains?..not so much, but by no means a deal breaker. Convinient to the airport, staff is pleasant and helpful. There's a pool although i never used it, I'd recommend you stay here if you want to save a little money.

This hotel was among one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I travel frequently and saw this deal so we decided to go the cheap route and book it when we arrived the gutters of the building were falling off leaves were not raked and some of the Windows from the doors the opened to the parking lot were sprayed with white. Yes the lobby was not but that's not where people sleep. I asked to have my sheets changed because I found dog hair on my sheets and looking around the room it was filth... Read more

What a dump. We were on a road trip and needed an overnight place in the area. We got this thru Hotwire, rated as 3 stars. Who were they kidding? We were horrified when we pulled up. No cars in the parking lot. Looked like an abandoned structure, something from the Twilight Zone. The threadbare lobby matched perfectly with our threadbare room. We have never seen a hotel room in such a state of neglect. Water stained walls and filthy bathtub. It appeared that the carpet has not been vacuumed any ... Read more

My initial review was not approved as I was being brutally honest. I would not stay here again. Their policies are not friendly to the business traveler and in my opinion they have added charges for things that other hotels do not. These fees and terms are not disclosed until you arrive. Until they take steps to improve th professionalism of the operation and the training of the front desk staff, I would avoid.

Stayed here despite several reviews that said not to only because it was one night on the way to the airport. Yes the building is in need of a complete renovation but the manager was fabulous and our room (which we thoroughly inspected) was clean and comfortable. We did not use the pool but it was clean and the people there were enjoying it. The Limo driver was wonderful and we agreed to text him when we left the airport the following week to come back. Our car was parked in a well lighted ... Read more

Lowest priced hotel in the Springfield/Hartford area. Can imagine it was very nice when it first opened. Does need a few dozen repairs. Pool was fine. Breakfast was basic as I had expected. Coffee in front all night and throughout the day. Fitness area was a couple of OLD machines. I've stay at worst hotels and got less at hotels I've paid more for. To save the dollar I would stay there again. Just 15 minutes south of the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Avoid at all costs. Sure, it's cheap, but you get what you pay for. Made the mistake of staying here more than once. The property is falling apart, unsecured, the breakfast is a joke, check-in slow, and overall is just bad in all service aspects. There are MANY other hotels that are light-years better than the "HillsPoint" closeby.

Look, if you just need a place to sleep for a night and are really strapped for cash then it'll do. It's not in a "bad" part of town and it's right near the highway. It's clean enough to where I didn't feel gross but it is leaning a little to the "Really needs some refreshing" side. We asked for extra pillows, we were given one and told "Thats all we had" even though the place couldn't have been more than half full. AC worked just fine. Bathroom was satisfactory. The internet was spotty at best.... Read more

I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a wonderful man at the front desk. He was extremely helpful and fun! However, we did book a non-smoking room.. And got a room that had clearly been smoked in (smelled like it was mins before we got there). The rooms had small balconies with fords leading outside, which did not have the ability to lock. A little scary. There was hair everywhere and our pillows did not have any pillowcases/ there were only sheets on th... Read more

As long as one arrives at night and doesn't spend time outside, the rooms and experiences are OK. The surprise comes in the morning when you see how run-down and unkempt the building and grounds are...near ghetto level. Hopefully the new ownership will turn things around for this place.

When I arrived, my desk clerk could not find my reservation. When I got to my room, there was no blanket on the bed. When I went to the lobby at 5:00 a.m. for my ride to the airport, I learned that the driver had just been made aware of my need for a ride thirty minutes ago and was late. When the same driver picked me up from the airport, he went to the wrong place and had me confused with another party. All this being said, everyone was very friendly and nice and the room was quite lovely f... Read more

I booked a room through priceline because it's listed as a 3 star hotel. It's not. The door to get to the rooms was busted glass with a sign asking guests not to touch the glass. The sliding glass door on my first floor room was unlocked when I got there so unless I would have checked anything could have gotten in while I slept. The floors were filthy! There were whitish spots and streaks on the dark blue carpet that were in no way part of the pattern. The sheets were so thin I could see my ha... Read more

Got into a room and about 15 mins after being there the next door guests started blaring their music and must have had some sort of karaoke machine in the room. To top it off it was music with foul language and we had 3 of out children with us which I was not pleased they were being subjected to that on our family get away. Went down to front desk and told them the issue. They said they would take care of it. 15 mins went by still no quiet. Called desk again and asked if we could be moved to ot... Read more

Really odd place. A strange combination of decent hotel and flea bag. Emphasis on flea bag. Whoever owns this place has no respect for the customers, or is in a bad financial bind. Either way, there's no excuse for giving customers keys to rooms with sex stains on carpets and heating units that don't work. I was moved several times just to get a room fit for human habitation. Staffing is just as odd. People hanging out at the front desk with seemingly nothing to do. Huh? What's that about?

To start off with check in is at 3 we got there at 3:30. They were able to find us a room by 4:30 which wasn't accommodated with a microwave or a refrigerator per request. It was stated to us that no other rooms were clean at that time I was already late for the business that I actually stayed at the hotel for so we left and hopes that by the time we came back we would have a room. Yes they did have a room but I wanted a king size bed we were thrown into a room with two double beds mind you the ... Read more

I always read reviews prior to booking a hotel. The reviews weren't the greatest but my husband and I decided to take a gamble because of the price (it was approximately half the nightly rate of other hotels near by), location, and the heated indoor pool. Positives: the staff was very helpful, understanding and friendly. My child has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. The pool opens at 9am but to help make the stay more comfortable for my child they opened the pool up earlier. That was amazin... Read more
