This is just an old hotel that needs some upgrading, especially in the bathrooms. Faucet, shower head, toilet making noise during the night, etc. The room was comfortable, TV worked fine, temperature was comfortable and so was the bed.

Ok, but in need of updates. Be warned, nothing around it, just a couple of fast food places, so your option is the Shade restaurant in the hotel. Convenient to airport and for getting on the interstate in the am.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for a quick stay. Situated near the airport, the airport hosts many flight crews and travelers. The front desk staff is very professional and efficient. Very friendly, handled issues without hesitation, and moved people through quickly without making them feel rushed. The hotel was clean. Friendly check in, old, but clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast, offered at no cost to me due to my HHonors status, was not very good. Many items had not been refreshed, employees were not quick to replace, and the selections were not good. I had to ask for silverware - twice. If arriving from BDL, be sure to check your GPS, mine sent me in the opposite direction.

We stayed here at the beginning and the end of our trip (upon arrival and departure). The rooms have been somewhat refreshed but the bathroom set up is awkward and small. I understand they will be renovating the bathrooms soon - hopefully they will decrease the sink counter size and the bathroom will seem larger. Hallways are grungy and really need refreshing. The location of this hotel makes for a "stress-less" early morning departure out of Bradley Airport. As well there are several local eateries within walking distance of the hotel. The Staff is always willing to help make your stay a pleasant experience. And the bed was awesome :-)

Hotel had a/c issues, not cleaned well. Problems with key locks and guest bathrooms. Were given plastic flatware and paper cups for a breakfast buffet in a banquet room. Ice machines broken down. Hotel needs to be updated. Hole in bathroom door. Key locks didn't always work staff was ok.

My only complaint is the ice machines were out on every floor but the restaurant kindly gave guests ice. I also loved the fact that Six flags great adventure was close to the hotel.I would stay at this hotel again.

Was pretty dissatisfied with this hotel, I was really shocked to see a double bed in a hotel room. Bathroom needed work for sure. Overall room was clean and somewhat updated. Bathroom sink did not drain and hotel staff was pretty noisy in the halls in the morning.

I travel 150 nights per year as a pilot - so I compare lots of hotels. This Doubletree is outstanding! People were warm and professional. Rooms were well equipped and clean - food (breakfast) was very good.

This was setup by my company to be a direct bill yet I was charged. When I called on June 9th the lady asked to have my company call. I am my company and I was calling. I then left a message for manager Dylan Harris on the same day at approximately 2pm. I have still yet to receive a call. I will recommend to my company that we do not use the hotel anymore.

We stayed as a stop then fly plan with a leave vehicle for vaca duration deal. This was a better quality than others nearby. Very cheerful and helpful front desk! They were a little lost about the leave the car aspect. Room was great except broken toilet seat and tp holder. Was told to park car anywhere but fortunately caught that the lawn sprinkler would have given us a 7 day car wash..before we left. Overall we still liked our stay.

The closet doors wouldn't open because the bifold track was jammed, the door wouldn't open without using brute force, the elevator was slow and kept opening even when no one was pressing the button, and several guests (including myself) had to return to the front desk because our key cards didn't work. Obviously these are all minor annoyances, but Doubletree generally has a pretty good reputation and I was expecting that same quality.

I was concerned that the hotel would be noisy that close to the airport but it wasn't. It is easy to find and good parking was available. Everyone was very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bar was stocked ok for a smaller hotel, and the breakfast buffet was decent.

Overall, a great experience. Initially I wasn't happy with the room assignments for my group but that was easily changed after I requested it. I thought "booking a group of rooms" would have taken care of that, but it didn't. We did get a great rate for the 14 rooms we booked for 3 nights.

The restaurant in the hotel is great, good menu options and many TVs for sports viewing. The location is good, close to the airport without the aircraft noise. Travel to downtown is about 30 minutes in the morning, with traffic. The rooms a are little dated, but very comfortable and easy access. The elevator is slow, just be patient. Best choice for a room neat the airport. Good dining close, Bear's BarBQue is just across the street.

Good shuttle service to and from the airport. Drivers are friendly in the morning and great with kids. Check in process is easy. Quiet rooms and good climate control. Elevators are slow. Friendly front desk staff. Exercise room is adequate. Small area to buy necessities.

I stayed there on 6/29/16 and around 5:30 am I felt the most pungent, nauseating smell I had ever smelled. I think the sewage was backing up into the building via the bathtubs and sinks. The whole room reeked and I had to cover my face with a towel in order to fall asleep again.

Stayed here for three days while family was in town. They flew in at Bradley and getting back to this hotel was a breeze. It was very upscale and comfortable and the staff was quite friendly. There's a restaurant inside the hotel (a little pricey, though) and plenty of other good local options nearby.

For $200 I was very disappointed. No complimentary breakfast, lumpy bed, grubby and cramped bathrooms, you cant buy movies from the TV, and very shoddy customer service. I would never go back. The bar was alright I guess.

Front desk girls were really nice and helpful. Location was very close to the airport. And the little Italian place across the street was great. Didn't eat at The hotel restraint. Parking spots were plentiful.

My flight out of Hartford was cancelled so I had to find somewhere to stay overnight. I used the phone in the airport to call and book a room but unfortunately nobody sent the bus so I had to wait for 30 mins. Once I arrived the staff were very helpful. The room was very nice with excellent Wifi. I had a nice meal in the hotel bar/restaurant then left early the next morning.

The only reason that I did not give this hotel 5 stars was actually nothing to do with the room. It was clean and quiet and front desk was awesome. This trip was a thunder run to Florida to fly down, get a dog and fly home the next day. We opted to stay here because of the parking deal we got with the hotel. Hot and humid room, difficult to sleep. Telephones were out at the hotel, multiple attempts and just a busy signal. I had to get a cab rather than use hotel shuttle. Room was expensive, a very poor value.

As soon as I got to hotel I saw the parking lot surrounded by overgrown weeds I continued on to entrance and that was dirty looking as well. My room was not very clean either. I have never been to a doubletree that didn't have really clean rooms. Whoever is in charge here should be ashamed. It doesn't cost a lot to keep stuff clean.

We stay at the Doubletree whenever we go to the airport. We tried for DAYS to get them on the phone to make our reservation to no avail . I booked online. We get to the hotel and they are all apologetic. They tell me the problem is temporary. We take our flight and leave our car. Arrived at 12:30 am. Surprised to see a dark, dingy lobby right out of the 80's. After trudging all the way down the hall, room key did not work, so back to the desk. After getting into the room, the toilet seat fell off, and then the toilet would not flush. Couldn't the maids see the toilet seat was loose? All of the public spaces were dirty. Stained carpets, and a layer of dust covered everything. This was the worst Hilton property Ive ever stayed in.

Recently stayed here due to an early flight from the Hartford Springfield airport. I found the staff very friendly upon arrival and was greeted as a Diamond level member. The rooms were very nice and clean and the beds were comfortable and super nice pillows! I often have early flights from here and will certainly use them in the future! Less than 5 minutes ride on the free shuttle to the airport.

I would recommend this place for anyone working in the immediate area and has a car. However the location did not work in my favour where I had to commute 1 1/2hrs to work. Everything restaurant wise closes at about 10pm. The choices for food are mediocre at best including the restaurant at the hotel. On the plus side, the hotel restaurant does stay open pretty late.. Probably the best option of all the Hartford airport hotels. I arrived around 7 am after a red-eye from LAX not expecting to get much sleep. Pleasantly surprised by the quiet during the daytime. The hotel shuttle was very responsive to us and arrived within minutes of calling for it, and yes, it is only a 5 minute drive. Decent bed but not the same standard as other Double Tree hotels. This location is not directly at/or/on the Bradley Field Airport. In fact it is located in the industrial/commercial area approximately 1-2 miles away. The facility is outdated and lacking every amenity that loyal Hilton DoubleTree customers have been groomed to expect.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The lobby is contemporary beautiful. The rooms are a typical room: bed, desk, couch, curtains and blackouts, no mini fridge though. Breakfast runs $12ish for the buffet. The fruit was fresh and there was always plenty of each type of food. Ballrooms are available for conferences.

The room was very clean and comfortable, which was perfect after 36 hours of driving in 3 days. The Hotel staff were all friendly, which was refreshing to experience. Checking out was simple and the shuttle ride to the airport was pleasant. A great place to rest.

Came to Connecticut for a concert which was subsequently cancelled. My mom and I did our best to make the most of our time there...but it was challenging because of how far we were from civilization. Staff was helpful if assisting us in finding something to do to pass the time though - they went above and beyond.

Aside for broken air conditioning in the lobby & extremely hot elevators, this hotel is consistent. The on-grounds restaurant and bar seems to be popular with both hotel guests and locals and is not usually overly crowded. Rooms in the HH are just the right size & very clean. Front desk was friendly helpful and prompt.

I chose hilton because they are typically pretty nice, this hilton wasn't very well kept and my room was dated and had tiny bathrooms..they aso put me in a room directly next to the elevator, so I had to listen to that all noght, convenient to get to the airport for an overnight stay.

The most important thing if your first room turns out to be unsatisfactory is to get another room without delay. The attendant gave us a very nice room. He offered to give us something for our trouble, but I don't know what he was thinking. The room was very comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit small. The bar (with fridge and microwave) was very nice.

Wonderful rooms and friendly staff. I was staying here for a wedding that happened at the New England Air Museum. The staff placed me close to the bridal party which made it very convenient. I especially loved the sports bar. Lots of great choices and lots of TV screens.

The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. There was a very difficult woman checking in before me who wanted all the extra amenities because she is "Diamond". The hotel staff worked with her and were kind and patient. Rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast staff was not very friendly or responsive (didn't get water until the end of breakfast) but breakfast was acceptable.

We felt that this whole place was "cold" - the look, the feel, the people. We normally stay at the Hampton Inn across the street to do a park-and-fly for travel but they were booked. (Really stupid, in my opinion, to limit the number of ROOM reservations based upon only allowing a handful of PARKING SPACES to be allotted for park-and-fly. They're losing money that way.) The valet drivers were good and efficient and it served the purpose but didn't provide a friendly feel at all.

Typical Business Hotel - Clean rooms, front desk staff was fantastic, grill and bar is serviceable. Nice happy hour there. They could use some outside seating somewhere around the building. Wifi was absolutely terrible! I'd stay here again - bring a hotspot.

While this venue is suitable, it is much like another Doubletree airport venue I have reviewed. It is in major need of a revamp. The first thing I noticed when arriving was the inordinate amount of parking spaces for the restaurant that, in reality, have few people partaking. Granby high School 50th reunion. We had 28 students and 3 teachers for the 2 day event. we booked several rooms and had 1/2 of a ballroom for the dinner and get together. Food was great; all ordered ahead of time. Cash bar was enjoyed by all. Staff was friendly, courtious and efficient.

Room leaked from ceiling and got into some of my stuff. I don't know what leaked.But I was given a different room after a few unanswered calls to the front desk. Everyday the hotel smelled funky. not the rooms but the entire 5th floor I was in.

I stayed overnight with my husband before running the Rugged Maniac last weekend. It was a nice, clean hotel in a good area. The only issue I had was we didn't get waited on in the restaurant and left. Nobody told us we should order at the bar, as I guess that was what we had to do.

There are two sides to this coin. The night staff was amazing. Great check-in. Very friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable bed. The bar is large and the staff just as friendly there. But, there were several low points. The parking close to the lobby is reserved for the restaurant/bar, so the hotel parking is further away -- and quite far if the lot is full. I went back to Connecticut and stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton, in Windsor Locks, Conn...Pickup at the airport ( 24 hour service) was quick as well as the return trip , the following day. Hotel is within 2 miles of the airport , but not near the runways. Hotel was clean, service great , and always willing to help..Room was clean and Mattress firm. Excellent situation close to airport. Hotel is comfortable and service is good! Restaurant isn't great for lunch or dinner, but offers a really good breakfast. Cookies are always so delicious... Conference facilities were very comfortable and spacious.

This was a very nice and clean hotel. The front desk staff were all very nice. They have a hotel shuttle which was very handy. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance as well. I'd happily stay here again! I travel on a regular basis and really have no complaints about the room or staff! The breakfast buffet is, in my opinion, mediocre and overpriced. I'm burned out on hotel breakfast's though. If I'm in the area I'll happily stay here again!

On arrival the bathroom smelled of urine. It had never been cleaned. Took 6 hours to anything resolved . I was unable to use the bathroom, I was told it would be taken care of. I left for business meeting returned 4 hours later to same nasty room.Terrible experience I stay at Hiltons a lot and this is my first bad experience

My first stay here was really good. The halls are a bit dark and dreary, but the room was both clean and comfortable. Room service was not over priced. Dinner at the Bar/Grill was actually very nice as well. The staff were the real stand-out experience; as they made Check-in/out and Dinner very enjoyable. I really liked the Happy Hour events.

Hotel was a disappointment. We were told our room had one king bed. It was in fact, a full that barely fit my husband and myself. Our room had ripped sheets on the bed, stains on the comforter and a large stain on the box spring. Rooms are remodeled. However mattress is very soft and bathroom had one bar of soup, no bath mat, and no shampoo. We had asked for extra pillows and didn't get them. We had to call down and they had to bring them up. So we had to tip. Parking was somewhat difficult and garbage was overflowing in front. Carpet in hall was recently changed but soiled. Elevator was old. Not the best but it is close to airport.

Great location very helpful staff shuttle is great for airport. Hotel is old needs a upgrade really bad. No refrig in room and was not offered one. Bar and food were great and service was helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at this property. The hotel is a little dated and could use a remodel. The front desk agents were helpful and accommodating. There is a restaurant onsite and room service is available. There are also several restaurants nearby.

We had room 444 for a conference this past weekend. We found out 2 days before that you have to request a fridge to be put in your room. Its not automatically in there and you only get one if enough extras are available. That's not clear on amenities. The heat/AC was never quite right. It kept changing settings on its own. Reservation not honored. Staff redirected me to a competitor, lesser quality hotel. Compensation provided and appreciated, however my travel plans were disrupted for no apparent reason. Would have thought a honors member would be treated better.

This hotel definitely needs an update. Lobby is crowded and chaotic. It's clean but not shiny...just looks old. The rooms do not have fridge or micro but there is a small coffee maker. Don't be fooled by "free breakfast". It is a very skimpy continental with sara lee type pastries, fruit and beverage. You have to pay for a hot breakfast. Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites do it better!

The hotel is convenient to the airport, but definitely not a newer property. My room was sufficiently appointed, clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. The biggest complaint I had was the sad excuse of a wall between my room and the adjoining one - it was so incredibly thin that I could hear the guest's phone conversations in detail with no effort at all. This is an older Doubletree but the beds and lines make for a comfortable nights rest. The food in the restaurant was very good and nice portion size. However, the table service was very slow. There are also several local restaurants nearby.

we flew into BDL after midnight and needed a place to stay close to the airport. Hotel was nice and comfortable. Rooms were smaller than expected but fairly clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Very beautiful hotel. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. I would really recommend this hotel for anyone business or leisure purposes. The rooms are very clean and cozy. My boyfriend and I was able to check in using the digital app and was able to choose our own room, now thats cool!

It's an airport hotel, so you know you are going to get a good shuttle and hope for more. This is ok. The room was small with two double beds I didn't think were that comfortable. The air wouldnt go lower than 65 which seems like it hsould not be a problem, but there was no way it was 65 degrees in that room. it was stuffy. The carpets in on the Honors floor were stained. It smelled everywhere. I will say the restraunt/bar was awesome and so was the breakfast server. Very polite staff overall. But the place is really run down. For example, the restrooms by the restaurant were closed for remodel but it was tacky the way blue painters tape was put up. Dirty hotel. Nice clean hotel. Convenient location for the airport. It has an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and a restaurant that serves until 2am! Staff is very friendly. And the cookies and water are always a bonus!

Very pleased with the overall service. It is not everyday that you come across people who enjoy what they do and give great service. I've stayed at several hotels near Bradley airport, but this one was the best. Nice clean room, great staff, the shuttle service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to stay overnight for an early flight.

Room was ok. No fridge, microwave, or continental breakfast. Beef at restaurant was terribly tough. Not a good value for price. Some of the desk staff not knowledgeable about hotel events going on. Some desk staff were hard to understand.

I book this hotel with my wife's HHonors account. I called hours earlier from Chicago's OHare airport to explain that my DL was misplaced at the airport due to TSA. Was here for one night only, and my sleep was interrupted by very loud construction taking place within the hotel. They do not fore warn this, and I was quite frustrated to say the least. So if you require sleep, like the rest of us human beings, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Shuttle service back/forth to airport was right on time. Distance to airport was a 5 minute ride. King bed was very comfy with nice down-feather type pillows. We were only there to sleep for 1-night, as we had an early morning flight departure, so can't attest to food, etc. Will surely go back!
