The staff at this hotel was top notch! I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff. Will stay here again when I'm in the area. The value cannot be beaten. I prefer to stay at Hilton properties while on business or pleasure because they are kept in good repair and the staff is usually very helpful and courteous.

My sister in law was getting married in Connecticut. I am a Hilton fan and have always tried to stay within the family of hotels whenever possible. As with most other hotel companies, some properties are better than others. In this case, the Hampton Inn in Waterbury turned out to be one in need of Corporate inspection. The noise level from other rooms was incredibly unacceptable. (You could hear, conversations and televisions, unfortunately at all hours of the night.) The floors creeked ab... Read more

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Waterbury, CT while in the area to celebrate a close cousin's graduation from Quinnipiac University. As Hilton Honors members, we always select Hilton group hotels when traveling domestically, and Hampton Inns are frequently the most convenient and most reasonably priced choices. Standard minimum frills Hampton. Easy check-in, free internet, clean room, hot continental morning breakfast and easy out the door. Self parking with plenty of spots when I was there. It appeared to be in a good location, no safety issues. I had a good stay and would return.

Immaculate, great breakfast, comfortable ~ friendly staff. Perfect Stay. Staff cared about us and everyone smiled. Even the coffee which was always available in the Lobby (or room) was quality. Breakfast had a good variety and warm meal, too. Manager is friendly and professional and interacts with customers. Girls at the front desk are so helpful.

Check-in was a breeze with online check-in. When I arrived, all I had to do was give my name and I was handed my key. LOVED the coffee and drinks on the first floor. We often choose Hampton Inn when traveling because they're so reliable. This one just wasn't very good. Noisier than expected - in a fairly quiet setting, but sounds between rooms were annoying. Bed wasn't very comfortable. The property seemed old mad tired. Staff were not very helpful ... Offered one choice for a restaurant, when we asked for choices, the response was, "try the one we recommend, it's close, you'll like it." We expect more from a Hampton inn and were disappointed.

We had a wedding not too far from Waterbury, about a 15 minute drive from the hotel, and knowing the type of hotel the Hampton Inn offers, we were hoping for a nice place to sleep, and the complimentary breakfast is always good too, and it did not disappoint. We did not spend much time at the hotel, as we got there, checked in, got changed and headed off to the wedding. In the morning, we checked out, had breakfast, and headed home, but the hotel ... I've never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn. Even though they are in the middle of renovations, the room was clean & quiet. Some of the fixtures were a bit dated, but the renovations should take care of that. The wifi was not very good, they shoud replace their routers, but that was not a huge problem.
