everything is great except the gambling. It would have been easier to drop my money at the valet and keep driving. No play at all. Also way to many underage kids hanging around , miss the feel of a casino with serious gamblers

Great place ' love that there are three casinos. Friendly staff and I go quite frequently to get away for some fun. There are many new slots including the game of thrones. During the week blackjack tables are $5.00 and $10.00

A great trip for me and my girlfriend. Checkin was smooth, dinner at Bar Americain was phenomenal and the craps and slots experiences were perfect. I highly recommend as this is the best hotel and casino combination on the east coast.

On our recent visit to this hotel we felt that the room was not as luxurious as it once was. We have stayed at this hotel twice before, but it had been five years since our last visit; and we noticed that things were not as they once were. For example, on one of our beds the sheet had a slight tear, the mattress seemed a little worn and the comforter/ blankets seemed not as soft as we remembered. The room still had a large bath tub area and in general the room was spacious. The general decor of ... Read more

This is one of my favorite hotels to stay in anywhere. Rooms are beautiful, clean and always feel new. Extremely easy to get around. Lots of dining choices. The whole complex is breathtaking. The pool is very nice. It's indoor with walls that open when it's nice out. Beds are a little stiff for me.

The hotel is great. Rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, spacious and well decorated. You definitely feel like you're in a high end hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The casino has several shops, however, most of them are on the expensive side. There is a good selection of restaurants - a few are very expensive but there are several in the moderate price range. The arena is a great venue for a show. The casino areas are large and have many gaming options. If visiting wi... Read more

Girlfriends 21st birthday, so I took her to Mohegan for the night. Prices and accommodations were good. Unfortunately it was only a Tuesday night, so there wasn't really a young crowd nor night life, but otherwise service was fast, food was good, and didn't lose too much money gambling.

Stayed here for one Saturday night. Very nice room with a view of the river. The staff was extra friendly and valet and room service above reproach. There's more than one casino so it's easy to get lost but it's fun to discover new nooks and crannies. Great shopping and snacking. Don't miss having at least one meal at the Summer Shack if you love seafood. All around fantastic time even though we didn't win.

I stayed here recently for 8 days during a conference and it was very nice. Even though it has a casino inside of it, it is not loud and smokey as other casinos and hotels are. They have lots of shops and places to eat so you never have to eat the same place twice if you don't want too. I enjoyed the staff who were very nice and polite. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes gaming and even if they have small children, they could bring them here as it has more of a mall feel than a... Read more

We spent hours just waking around admiring the beautiful decor and construction details. Property was spotless. The pool area did seem underwhelming in comparison to the rest of the resort. Mohegan Sun is an architectural work of art, and the decor throughout is grand, unique and just all around beautiful. Our room was also very nice, with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. I paid the extra $11.50 for a river view, which was disappointing given that most of the view was taken up by the sprawling metal roof of the huge arena and shops below us. Went to see Jeff Dunham at the arena here. Liked the seat system -- the first section off the floor had unobstructed view of the stage. The drawback is the AV system. The video portion cut out at least three times in the last hour. If you can't see the performer, the screens are your only option. Tip: If you come early, there are plenty of meal options. The shops are OK (pretty standard) so if you don't like to gamble, prepared to be a little bored.

We stayed for 2 nights in a King Cove suite, and while the room was sizeable, we felt that a lot of the space was used unnecessarily. Would have loved to have an actual bar area inside the room comparable to the Petite King Suites at Foxwoods Grand Pequot Tower. An overly sized half-bathroom and giant corner dedicated only to a fake potted plant could have been a nice bar counter with stools and a useable fridge. We had very visible mystery stains on the couch in the sitting area of the room,... Read more

Our short vacation was a very pleasant experience-as always! The casino is massive, you never have to worry that there is not a slot machine available. The staff is very friendly and sincere. The rooms are super clean- the turn down service was a nice touch!

For those of you that don't know, Mohegan Sun is the only location to get Fresh Krispy Kremes in ALL of new England. I'm not saying this is the only reason I got to this casino...but it doesn't hurt either. My family and I went to a free concert at the wolf den and chowed down on some Righteous Donuts

My biggest impression was that this place is very well laid out. Coming from the hotel towers it is very easy to navigate the shopping/casino floor. Decorations are beautiful. You have many choices of places to eat and to shop. If you are going to gamble, you'll probably be just sitting in the casinos. But if you are going there for a show or concert and stay for a weekend it's a nice place. Just a warning: at the entrance to one of the casinos is a fake wolf on top of a rock formation. Its head... We were two adults staying for one night on a Thursday night. I think our final bill was around $350 after we got hit with an $18 "facility fee" after check out. Hotel was nice but the room was the same as most nice hotels...nothing special. We could NOT get room service to pick up the phone...were on hold forever and finally gave up and skipped the meal. Also, the toilets are so loud that you can hear them flushing in other rooms. For over $300/night, I don't want to hear that. What shocked me ... Read more

Had another great stay. To avoid the crowds, we arrived on Sunday and stayed until Tuesday. It is so much nicer on Monday and Tuesday when fewer people are there. We ate at Margaritaville one day. I'm not a fan but my friends love there nachos. I just had a couple of beers (in a bottle) because the last time I was there, the glasses were dirty.

He sounded just like he did in the 60's and was so very gracious. I could not believe he is 75. He looked no more than 50. He sang for 2 hours straight with no break. It was absolutely one of the best shows I have ever seen!

We booked this hotel as part of a trip to New England wanting a base to explore Connecticut and Rhode Island. The hotel had been recommended to us and we went for the MasterCard deal on the hotel's website which gave 4 nights for the price of 3. We were expecting a Las Vegas style casino resort and that is exactly what it reminded us of, lively, busy with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We were lucky to get upgraded to a luxury sky suite - wow, it was absolutely amazing. We walked in to... Read more

The dealers are very friendly also and will talk to you. They keep the place super clean and have a great selection of places to eat at all times of the day. Its a great place to be a adult but act like a kid. Will go back again and again

I spent a night at Mohegan Sun for a work charity event on a Monday evening. The hotel room is very good size but the bed it horribly uncomfortable. Also, I forgot my wall plug for my iPhone and was disappointed there was no USB charger in the room (most hotels have one these days). The most disappointing fact was I was woken up multiple times by a party down the hall. After being awake almost 2 hours I called the front desk, only to be on hold for 15 minutes. I gave up, threw a pillow ov... Read more

last time I remember coming to Mohegan Sun was 2010 for a Bon Jovi concert. this past week was the first time being able to go and enjoy the casino aspect. I had been to Foxwoods 2 other times before coming here so it is a bit smaller. One thing I loved about it was not being bombarded with cigarette smoke while sitting at a slot or trying to enjoy the shopping. also I have seen 2 concerts here and had very good seats as long as you don't mind heights

The pool area was nice but the servers were sparse and hard to find. Hard to get a seat at tables on weekend nights.

I realize that it's a casino but, it surprises me that a high end hotel like this would have smoking rooms. Best to check in early if you want a non-smoking nag room or be prepared to wait. Beds are hard and walls are thin.

I have been here a few times now for various events but have only stayed once and this review is just for the room itself. The room we had was a double king and was fantastic. The staff were great and quite accommodating. The bathroom was huge although I am a little confused as to why there was a phone next to the toilet? Overall great room and surprisingly noise insulated. My only knock is the beds were a bit on the firm side and as one with a bad back, this isn't a small issue. Room service wa... Read more

I would never have found myself at Mohegan Sun were it not for a business retreat, so this post is targeted towards the non-casino fans. The good: rooms are quite spacious, modern, and immaculately maintained along with some fantastic lake views. I stayed here with my good friend for my birthday. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Great views of the lake from our window. Well-stocked mini-fridge, ample closet space and drawer space. The hotel surprised us with a chocolate cake after we got back from the casino! It was a great treat and well appreciated. The restaurants were very good and there are ample bars and places to grab a drink or quick bites.

This is a very special hotel/casino. The respect for the Native American heritage and values are evident in the design of the facility and throughout. Understanding the irony, of course, that this is a casino, it would seem trite to say so. But this is a beautifully created series of buildings. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, relaxed and comfortable.

The hotel accomadations are simple yet perfect for a quick sleep over after some gambling and some yummy nibbles here and there. (Ballo has incredible calamari and truffle Mac and cheese).
