We have stayed here several times and the staff is amazing! We travel with our dog on long trips to visit family here and they are very accommodating! We only stay here now when we are in the area! Clean, friendly and beautiful grounds. Close to downtown Stamford, 95 and the train.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and wifi service was good. It is a very basic conference hotel with many rooms. I had an initial concern of bed bugs, however the hotel was very clean and had no bed bugs. The elevator service was frustrating as there were four elevators but only two were in service. I would recommend this hotel for those who have a conference or just need a place to stay in Stamford.

I stay at this hotel for business more often than I would like to however they always make my stay enjoyable. The staff are friendly and the rooms are top notch. I enjoy the concierge lounge and the executive floor. The pool and hot tub are clean and the gym is nice for a hotel. I truly enjoy my stay each and every time and I have stayed at this hotel at least ten times over the last year. I highly recommend.

I was 'upgraded' to a much worse room: Smaller and noisier. Billing at checkout was overcharging on every account. High-speed internet was a waste of money. Not faster at all. Pool was out of order. Gym so basic, not worth calling it that. Breakfast and shuttle service very good.

We arrived late at night with tired children. Check in itself was super slow. We were given 3 rooms for the 5 of us....weird right? I was too tired to argue. Myself and the 2 youngest children in one room, my husband and my eldest son in a room each, on a different floor. The manager said someone would come and make the sofa bed. After a time someone knocks on the door, gives me the sheets and disappears. I get the message I make up the sofa bed. I can hear the people in the communicating room t... Read more

The lobby is nice, but the hotel room was in poor repair. The shower had plenty of pressure and hot water, but the head was broken and could not be adjusted. This resulted in the shower floor being flooded every time some one took a shower. The tub and sink both retained water and would not drain properly. The thermostat was broken. Even if it was set to 76 degrees it would only cool the room, and would remain on until the room itself was in the mid 60s. I had to manually turn on, and turn o... Read more

Friendly upscale Hotel with plenty of amenities, excellent food at the restaurant but a little pricey. Situated in a corporate Park you would need to take a car or taxi if you choose to go out but a very good area for shopping a short distance from a very nice Mall On Target as well as plenty of bars nightlife is pretty nice.

This is a very nice hotel. We obtained a great value weekend package with 2 round trip train tickets to NYC via the nearby train station. Parking is easy but pricey if not included (ours was). Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet and well ventilated. Shower was fabulous. Staff was courteous and professional. Breakfast buffet was good but not memorable. Overall, it's a lovey property that I'd stay in on my next visit to Stamford. Tip: If you're taking a train back from the city and want... Read more

Large conference hotel in downtown Stamford. The lobby area was open, clean, and inviting with complimentary afternoon wine and cheese. Hotel manager (maybe assistant) was there to smile and greet guests. Newspapers were available. We were given a 4th floor room (although the hotel had 7 or 8 floors with lots of rooms available). We were surprised that many rooms were still being cleaned at our check-in around 5pm. The staff were not quiet. The next day, cleaning persisted throughout the day, t... Read more

The night engineer said he knew what the problem was (unaware of his admission this was a recurring issue) and then was aggressively insistent that his turning the nozzle and tightening it fixed the problem. I let it go. The internet Access Point failed and we lost internet by morning. Just a bad first night. We got lucky. A great engineer showed up, we'll call him Allen. I have stayed at the hotel numerous times over the past five years, but the recent stay was horrible. I checked in the room on-line prior to my arrival, but was assigned a different room when I arrived. The room that I was assigned was clearly the worst room in the hotel. I stay here frequently as a Hilton diamond member. This hotel has a couple of executive levels with a solids Exec lounge and food on the 10th floor. There is an express elevator to that lounge from the lobby. The hotel restaurant is good and the service is ok. Excellent arrangements customized to the needs of our cultural convention. Excellent lobby spaces for mingling. Plenty of rooms for breakout sessions. However, no support staff for audiovisual facilities in early morning sessions. If the events manager would be proactive in eliciting such needs ahead of time and ensuring the required facilities, the hotel would improve its customer satisfaction and referrals.

I travel to Stamford about 6 times a year for work, generally staying 4 nights. The Marriott used to be my hotel of choice, until I found the Hilton a few months ago. The location is really the only thing that detracts from the hotel. It is buried in an office complex, so there are no places to walk to for shopping or dining. It has to be poor management honestly because there were so many little things that were wrong that could have been easily fixed. First off, the air conditioning wasn't working and it was 90 degrees out. They said they were having it fixed, but it was still not working when we checked out. There was no TV in the entire hotel- something with the satellite system. The maid's carts were blocking the hallways every time we walked out to go somewhere. When I can't sleep because the AC doesn't work and the Staff gives off a "who cares" attitude, I'm not happy. Hilton has always been good, this was very bad. Frankly, the attitude and the lackadaisical attitude about not being able to sleep, when the primary function of a hotel is to offer a good sleeping experience is inexcusable.

My wedding was reserved for over a year with a room block contracted at the Hilton Stamford. While we received fine customer service at first, little by little there were delays in communication or wrong information communicated to us. Finally, less than a week before the wedding, my mother received a call that the room block had been completely canceled and would be transferred to another hotel in Stamford. Our favorite part of our stay was exploring the hotel. Though the carpets are curiously hideous (see photos), the lobby areas have plenty of seating and accessible wifi. Huge event halls and ballrooms! The room was comfortable, though not very memorable. A refrigerator would have been a nice addition. Overall a satisfying stay; we would stay the Hilton Stamford again if the price was right.

Booked this as a splurge weekend, big name brand but so disappointing. Booked a king room, when we checked in we were told they didn't have a king room, only a double, but you get 2 beds - like that was supposed to be a bonus. Not happy, we asked what alternatives they could suggest, we paid for a king room and wanted a king room; we were rudely told, take the double room or cancel the reservation, choice is yours. Wow. Stayed Saturday night at this Hilton Hotel. I found this to be an average Hilton Hotel. Room was clean and hotel dinning room food was good. Staff was very polite and friendly. Our biggest gripe was the extremely small size of the indoor pool. There were only 2 lounges and 5 chairs around the pool area. This hotel, I believe, can accommodate almost a thousand people. Overall this visit was not one of the better ones at a hilton property. Check in went well- unfortunately we arrived around 1:45 pm and after we got our keys and directions we asked where the restaurant was and were told it closed at 2:00 pm. Only food available was in the gift shop- snacks. Not satisfactory for a diabetic. It did not improve much after this. Stayed for one night only in an excecutive room. Very nice and tastfully decorated. Friendly staff and excellent amenities. The gym had everything needed for a quick workout, and the Jacuzzi in the room was an excellent way to end the night. This will be our hotel of choice next time we're in the area. Only downside would be the 12 dollar parking fee, understandable if it was in the city center, but not on the outskirts in my opinion.
