I booked my reservation using my hhonors points. The parking for this hotel is in a small parking garage, which was full when I arrived. Before I checked in, I asked the person at the reception desk where I should park my car. He told me to park down the street in a church parking lot, but I could't leave it there overnight so I would have to go move it before midnight. This was not acceptable to me, so I asked for my reservation to be cancelled. There was a sign right on the desk that said... Read more

Wonderfully located near Stamford Hospital, across from a nice river park area, within a short walk to shopping and dining options, and a wonderful adjacent Italian restaurant. My room was quite spacious for a Hampton, quiet, and clean. Don't rely on their snack pantry for those urges....it was bare...but plenty of options in walking distance. (And ladies...although I don't find it in Trip Advisor, I went to a nail salon called Cache Nails that I highly recommend!)

The only issue was that some younger people were running up and down the halls....and slamming doors... Made it hard for us to sleep and wake up at 5am....but other than that it was great and I would recommend this place

Parking was free - garage almost totally full when we arrived late at night. Easily accessible and convenient business center allowed us to print our boarding passes

The food was lousy and of very low quality. I don't know what it is you're trying to pass off as eggs but they certainly were not eggs. The pillows were lumpy and the shower pressure was extremely low. I don't believe any of the staff ever smiled. I felt like an intruder.

This was very clean and comfortable for our family. I love the size of the suite for a family. There is no pool, but a playground within walking distance, helped after a long car ride. A quiet patio was appreciated by the grandparents while parents took 4 1/2 yr old to playground. The food in the adjacent restaurant was excellent, bartender was very personable and knowledgeable.

We stayed two nights at this Hampton Inn for a family reunion nearby. It was a repeat visit because we stayed there for a family reunion 2 years ago. Our room was clean, but drab and had a tired look about it. The bathtub drain was slow. As Hilton Honors Gold members, we are supposed to receive bottled water for the nights of our stay - we received only one bottle for two of us for two nights, plus a small bag of chips. It is a pleasure to travel with Hampton on the itinerary. You know what you are going to get and it far exceeds what is given by other chains i at same price point. Locations are generally very good and quietness of facility, an important item on my travel list, is very good.

The walls were paper thin and the doors were heavy. Every time a guest entered or exited their room the door would slam loudly and shake the entire floor. This was very disruptive to sleep and work while at the hotel. Everything else was as expected for a Hampton Inn property.

There was no pool but they had free breakfast. I would stay there again but might choose a place with a pool next time. There are some positive aspects to this hotel. Although an older property it is clean and appears to be in fairly good condition. There was a slight aggravation during check-in as there were 2 people at the desk, one who was on the phone, the other person not apparently doing anything. But when I approached her she shoved my ID aside telling me to go to the other person. This was simply rude even though it turned out she was with housekeeping and couldn't check me in. Suspect this must have been something else before it was a Hampton but once inside it is a pretty standard Hampton Inn on the inside. Breakfast was not great, even for a free breakfast. Eggs were rubberized and fruit was very limited. Still got coffee and juice so that is something. I would suggest buying bottled water as the hotel tap water has a distinct flavor. We have stayed here several times when heading in to NYC for an overnight. Much easier to just leave the car here and take the train! Affordable, very clean, breakfast and parking are included. What more can you ask for!

We used this hotel for a family gathering. The rooms were all close by and there was a large gathering area to visit instead of having to go between rooms. The on site restaurant was nice to visit. It is walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. Nice location.

Convenient, 5 minutes off 95, close to train into NYC, great variety for breakfast, very clean, good tv, I can't really say anything bad about this hotel. We were going to stay in NYC but it was Veterans Day Weekend and rooms were running at $400! So a friend suggested Stamford and taking the train (50 minute ride) and that worked just fine. I love having coffee in the lobby at all times. Also had cookies at night! Also has a fabulous Italian restaurant attached to it.

This place is great. Clean. Nice staff. Efficient. Great breakfast and all of the hotel amenities are superb. Love staying at this brand of hotels. Beds were super comfy. Bathrooms were clean. Layout of the room was really nice. Even the lighting was good - not too bright. Microwave & refrigerator in standard room is a great must have.

Great stop over on road trip along 95. The hotel was nicer than expected. 1 mile from the interstate and railroad but quiet. The parking garage was a bit tight but convienent. Breakfast was fairly standard.

This is the first place we stayed after coming into the US, and the staff was very helpful and understanding. They provided guidance and enabled two weary travelers to have a comfortable, tension-free stay. When I had to stay in office, they allowed my wife to stay a few hours more than the check-out time, which was very nice of them, especially considering how cold it was. Really thankful to them! Location: Close to the Amtrac station as well as close to the core office areas of Stamford, b... Read more
