Came here the night of the Duran Duran concert at Mohegan Sun. Had stayed before and had previously found this Marriott to fit my needs. On my stay this time, I was blown away by the superior staff! Last stay was quite a while ago and like I said it fit my needs, the staff was polite, etc. However, on this visit, as we were checking in, my boyfriend told them it was my birthday to which everyone behind the counter gave me a very enthusiastic Happy Birthday! Very nice to hear and sounded ver... Read more

So far not very pleased with this hotel. Had my room cleaned came back later in the day.... they had forgotten to replace tissues. Went downstairs and they gave me a box. Next morning went to make coffee and all there was was decaf. They had overlooked replacing the coffee. Again went downstairs and had to ask for coffee. So,basically, they had come in and made my bed and changed the towels and took the tip. Not impressed! My husband spends over 200 night in Marriott hotels in a year. This one i... Read more

I stayed a week at this hotel and have no complaints as far as the service. The staff were very courteous and responsive, and my room was very clean. The hotel has a decent size pool on its lower level that's ideal for laps. There's also a sauna that seemed to get a lot of usage, judging by how many times I spotted people when I passed en route to the gym. The gym is really small (just 2 treadmills, one bike and an elliptical. There's also a weight rack and a bench, but that's all you get. But I... Read more

Another long day. Worked in Maryland until 2pm then drove 7 hours to Norwich, CT. Dragged myself to the lobby and at the front desk was Nixon who of course welcomed me and asked how I was. My reply was something like "beyond exhausted". I checked in and went to the Market for something cool and when I went to pay he said, "its on me, welcome to the Courtyard. I always find some special person in all Marriotts and Nixon was my man in this one.

Upon requesting an early check in with Franez (sorry I hope I spelled that right) he worked hard to get it done as quickly as possible, Tori was amazing with my requests and check in, always pleasant and made me feel right at home and welcome. The next morning I was without a toothbrush and I did not see any in the market so I asked Candance, who had already welcomed me with a good morning, she offered me a compliemntary one and did not hesitate to handle my request with the same level of serio... We stayed here on May 18th while visiting friends in the area. The hotel is easy to find from either Rte 32 or I 395. The check in staff were professional and friendly. The room was clean, well appointed and decent sized. The free internet speed was acceptable. There is a cafe in the lobby which serves light food, drinks and coffee. Overall, a good place to stay.

I have not experienced a hotel in the Marriott chain that was in this condition. The walls in the bathroom had holes in them near the base of the tub. There was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom at all. The room looked old and as tired as I felt after a couple thousand miles on the road!

We're big fans of Marriott and try to use them whenever we are on the road. This Courtyard was a bit off the mark. Let me say, check in was easy and the staff was very professional and took care of us. The public areas we saw were nice and up to date but the rooms were tired and needed a face lift. The lobby had nice poster boards of how the new rooms will look after the renovation and that's all well and good if you are planning on staying there next year but what about tonight? We also fou... Staff were wonderful and extremely friendly. Hotel was clean but slightly dated in rooms. Air conditioner drove me nuts with loud constant cycling. Ended up just turning it to manual fan which meant no cooling. The coach in the room is poorly positioned for watching tv. Poor me had to watch from bed. Location is ok.

My wife and I attended the Barrett Jackson Car Auction at Mohegan Sun Casino on Saturday, June 25, 2016. We stayed over and decided on the Courtyard By Marriott in Norwich, CT. We called that afternoon to let them know we would be checking in late. We were having a great time at the casino. We arrived at the Courtyard at 9:00pm exhausted! (We were up at 5am and drove up from New Jersey) We were greeted by several people at the front desk. Being a Marriott Rewards Member since 1994 they had all ... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights while attending the Barrett-Jackson auction at Mohegan Sun. Prices seemed high ($179-$300) per night for the same room. It changed every night we were there (Wed-Sat). The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed eating breakfast in cafe, but they had some difficulty with timing of getting out the "hot" orders from the kitchen. No complimentary breakfast was a bummer. Also, no mini-fridge in our room. I think they are getting ready to renovate/update the rooms. The ... Read more

3 week business trip, working night shift. Thought it would be a challenge to be able to sleep during the day, but the staff went over and above to make me comfortable. The housekeeping staff and supervisor (can't recall her name) cleaned and serviced my room on my schedule which was great. The facilities guys were great...gave me a brand new AC unit as mine conked out. Had a fridge and microwave and blackout curtains so I was able to function even working long nights. The property is due for a ... Read more

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We had an accident on the way to the hotel and totaled our car. We ended up arriving in a cab - and had all of our stuff from our week long vacation in tow. They were very kind at the desk. A gentleman even took the kids and let them pick out candy from the sundries shop. They assured us the pool would be open to 11 and helped us decide where to go for a rental car. The pool was fantastic - just cool enough to rejuvenate but not shockingly ... Read more

We had a wonderful long week-end at the Courtyard Marriott. The Saturday was very busy for this hotel i believe due to those staying to visit the near by casino. I found the staff to be very friendly and we loved the indoor warm pool and hot tub. The Sunday was even nicer as the hotel emptied out a bit and it was quieter. I did find the hotel to have a great room which was quiet and we had a balcony which was nice. We ate breakfast in the Bistro and the food was good and the service excelle... Read more

The only reason this hotel is receiving two stars from me is due to the staff. The staff was Wonderful...warm...welcoming..and lovely. Another plus was shuttle to Mohegan Sun. They do NOT offer service to Foxwoods, where we had a show that night so we used Uber service both ways. Condition of hotel is old. Clean....but OLD and dated. Desperately in need of updates. Bedding reminded of a cheap motel somewhere...not Marriot quality . A/C was not on in hallways. Just in lobby and rooms (weird). A... Read more
