Now done over in shades of black, grey and white with hard, sharp-edged-surfaces & furnishings everywhere, this once pleasant, comfortable hotel is now anything but! Imagine a bathroom with no towel racks so there is no place to hang a wet, used towel (that you might want to re-use.) Imagine the former pleasant breakfast/dining room turned into another meeting room forcing you to eat breakfast in the bar where the booth seats are raised and you have to step up and down unto a narrow ledge - an... Stayed here this month for a wedding nearby at Saltwater Farms. We were hoping to get early check in with our Hilton honor status. Check in is at 4 and the rehearsal started at 4, we arrived at about 3 on a Thursday for 2 nights. We had been traveling since about 6am. The king rooms were not available and I was offered two doubles which I refused. The room was clean and spacious, on the first floor. The only noise I really noticed was from the people above us, you could hear when the dropped... Read more

I have stayed in Mystic several times. Both my sister and I went to school in the area, so my parents have stayed at different places while visiting over the past 10 years. The Mystic Hilton has been our first choice throughout this period. It is conveniently located near the Mystic Seaport, Aquarium and Shoppes. It's right off of I-95 and you can also get to both Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods in under 30 minutes. Out of all the hotels in the area, this one usually has the best deals and would be the... Read more

Being steps from the Aquarium and Olde Mistick Village, this hotel is a fantastic spot when visiting Mystic. The hotel has recently been remodeled. I always enjoyed the Euro-style breakfast at this Hilton, however the new restaurant has a completely different feel. The pool has always been a favorite of the family. Always a good time! Positives: The hotel is extremely conveniently located. Just off the interstate, immediately opposite the aquarium, and a short drive from mystic seaport and town centre. The building and rooms are well-appointed and nicely decorated. The pool is nice and very clean. Negatives: The roomkeeping is very poor. We stayed for four nights and not once was the room properly cleaned despite us being out from 9am until at least 3pm or 4pm on each of those days. On three days the room was not cleaned at... I usually like Hilton for international travel. On the outside, this one was just another boring hotel, but on the inside it reminded my of the mega-Hiltons in San Juan (PR), Seoul Korea (Millenium), Osaka Japan, and Athens Greece. I love the older, heavy marble and solid construction. It has a slightly dated feel, but it is a classic Hilton. In this case the price was excellent too! (1/3 the price of what I have paid abroad). We stayed one night on our drive from NYC to Boston. The hotel is very plush and comfortable with all the required amenities. Even though there was a conference with live music (and maybe also a wedding?) going on in the hotel our room was peaceful and we had the pool to ourselves. Hotel was very clean as were the rooms. Mattress was terrible unfortunately. Service was very good. I would stay there again but with so many other options close by, I would probably look for something different. This review would have been very good if not for the Mattress issues. We have used this hotel several times for our conference. The hotel has been refurbished and is quite nice. The first couple of times we used the hotel the prices were fair and the rooms were nice. The food service was also quite nice but a bit pricey. Now with the remodeling prices are very high for both lodging and food. I understand this was one of the better choices in Mystic, but it was less than a typical Hilton. The main issue was week WiFi from our room, which was in the back of the hotel by the laundry and staff staging area. The renovation of the Mystic, CT Hilton lost a lot of it's charm and flavor of the Mystic, CT spirit: it now is more somber, too modern/minimalist, with barely any of the warm seagoing Mystic flare that we once enjoyed prior to the renovation. Too buisnessy! Didn't feel like a relaxed vacation spot which is what it used to feel like; I felt like I was vacationing in an office/corporate headquarters! Otherwise, the location can't be beat, the service is great, and the food is decent.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights recently, and was pleasantly surprised with the newly updated decor of the hotel. We stayed here in 2009, when our son married, and chose the hotel for our out-of-town guests. We liked it then, so chose it for a recent visit to the area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfasts were delicious. We recommend this hotel when visiting the area.

We attended a wedding this weekend and my experience with Hilton continues to soundly impress me at every turn! It had been a few years since I'd been here, so I'd never seen the renovation that was done in the last couple of years. Wow! The main restaurant and bar including the courtyard seating and fireplace are, packed and everyone we encountered was thoroughly enjoying themselves. The Hilton is beginning to show it's age and will soon be in need of an extensive upgrade. The Hotel Staff was polite and attentive but never attempted to "go the extra mile". That is not to say that the staff was rude in any way, just un-inspired. The same could be said of the Hotel. The only neat attribute was the fire pit area between the lobby and the bar. Even that effect was mitigated by the overwhelming noise of the chillers right above. If you plan on attending the aquarium or have child... Read more

Good location, close to the highway. Clean, nice bar, friendly staff. Rooms were nice, roomy and not "worn". Did not use the facilities but what we saw looked nice and clean. I had to drop the amount of people in each room from 3 to 2. The staff upon check in was nice enough to check the rate and was able to lower it, whereas when I called Customer service they could not do that. To me that was worth a lot.
