The bed was comfortable. The place was pretty gross and had nasty odors. While smoking outside I politely spoke with a gentleman that worked there who asked me for a cigarette and then proceeded to tell me that he lives at the motel it was awkward and uncomfortable. The front desk man was very condescending in how he spoke to us. The breakfast attendant was breathing down my neck, hovering, and tapping while I made my coffee because apparently I was inconveniencing her. Overall the place seemed ... Read more

Building is dated and also needs cosmetic repairs. Door knob leading to outside loose and about to fall off/towel holder on wall in bathroom did fall off/wall paper coming off over head board of bed. To traverse bottom level is kind of a maze. Could probably use a few more Exit signs. Guess for the price, an OK place to flop for a couple of days. On a positive note they have a good friendly staff, who were extremely polite, helpful and quick to answer questions we had about the service an... Read more

The room was very clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were awesome. The bathroom was small but not tiny. The fridge worked great. The pool was not hot and it was disgusting. The hot tub is small and was warm not hot. We did go about an hour before closing time so that could contribute to it but when it comes to the pool I do not think so. As for breakfast...they have a nice area to eat but the breakfast could use some work. When they say waffles they mean the frozen kind. The location is gre... Read more

Maintenance is a definite issue. Our room door handle had to be wiggled to be locked. There was definitely water damage to ceiling and it was poorly half painted. The printer would not work for boarding passes. Room still had trash on floor when we checked in

My first room had a balcony door that would not lock. I waited over 30" for someone to come and look at it. I finally went down and had the room changed. The new room was dirty, hair in the tub and a gross desk chair. The whole place felt old and dark.

Reservations were set weeks in advance, the night of check in we called to let them know we would require late check in, and clerk told me to ignore the reservation cancellation email he had just sent. I made the call at noon...not sure why they had a trigger finger about canceling without contacting me first, but all was set. When we checked in (4 room reservation) 2 couple got the same room keys, awkward!!! Breakfast was good and room was comfortable. So all in all good experience.

The pictures online are very misleading. The rooms are small and the furniture is run down and all marked up. The TV didn't even work and the cable was unplugged and broken, so all we had was static noise the whole time we were there. I dont think Groton is the nicest place in the first place, so maybe thats why? The siding, outside doors, window airconditioners looked beat. First step inside was the red flag .... musty carpeting .... Two minutes in the room found a water bug crawling on the carpet. The hotel itself wasn't bad, soft beds. The front desk guy was definitely rude to my kids. Who are 14 and 17. Apparently he don't like anyone walking on the 2nd floor which is what we had to do to get anywhere. They asked him for towels for the pool which was less than average with a pitiful hot tub, and yelled at them. When I 1st checked in the same guy asked how old my children were. Mostly meant for a couple day adult stay, not kid friendly by any means.

This place needs some upgrades. The service was great. I slept well in the room and that is why we came here, to sleep. The ceiling was chipping away in the corners of the room, but not over the bed. CClose to where we wanted to get to early in the AM.

We had a wonderful stay in the Groton Ramada. The front desk staff were all wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were neat and clean and the staff kept us in enough clean towels. The pool was clean and enjoyable.

The experience overall just had a grungy dirty fe... Read more

My room was not vacuum ed on arrival. I was in a smoking room & had no ashtray. I did not have a TV channel line up. I had 2 bottles of conditioner no shampoo This made for 3 trips to the front desk. I was very upset that the houserkeeper threw away my open 1 litre bottle of water away which was needed to take my medicine and an emery board that were on the night stand
