Check in was quick with complimentary, candy, cookies and water. Friendly & responsive staff. The only drawback is the location is not withing walking distance to any great restaurants. The do have complimentary breakfast, which is always a plus. The room was spacious and comfortable (and accessible). A mini suite with a kitchen, love seat and large bathroom.

New-ish hotel, very good for business travel! Hotel staff was not particularly friendly, but they explained how to get on the wifi, how breakfast works, etc. Also inconvenient that there was no restaurant in the hotel, but there were plenty of nearby food options and also a few places that delivered fairly quickly. Wifi was fast, plenty of TV channels. Breakfast selection was OK, but breakfast staff didn't even say hello- very uncharacteristic of Hamptons. Overall a nice facility, would stay her... Read more

Conveniently close to the Mark Twain museum. Most attendants went out of their way to accommodate us, especially the kitchen staff. Bathroom has just 1 sink, but the vanity is larger than most, which makes sharing with family easier; it was also clean, with trash cans lined. Mattress was firm and provided good support at the edges; pillows comfortable. Comforter was white and fresh, not stained or old.

We spend at least 65 nights a year in a hotel and this bed was so hard we couldn't sleep. It was terrible. Coffee station was dirty and void of cups. No restaurants or anything in walking distance. Considering we were there for less than 12 hours, it was a bad experience.

2nd floor room, the breakfast area has a ceiling which is 2 levels high but people like to hang out in the breakfast area in the evenings and drink. Therefore, the room was extremely noisy! Thin walls and people were yelling in the hallways each night, so this must be a party hotel for cheap family reunions.

Got a good value at this hotel compared with other properties in the area. This hotel is beginning to show its age through. Just little things do not look fresh, carpets beginning to fade all of the furniture is dinged up in the rooms. Fitness equipment is beat and electronics did not work, wifi kept dropping out on me while trying to get work done. Besides that this property offered a fine comfortable bed, was quiet and climate controlled.

This is a very good Hampton Inn, modern, well-equipped, and well-maintained, but the best part of it is the location. It is located almost next to the bridge across the river from East Hartford to Downtown Hartford. This bridge provides easy access to the city and to the River Walk. The Hartford River Walk is one of the best I have ever walked. Not only is there a paved walkway along the river, but it also leads into hiking trails, just beyond the boat house.

We came into Hartford to attend a concert at The Bushnell. This hotel is located in a very quiet section of the city with easy accessibility to everything.Nice facility, friendly and attentive staff, nice quiet clean rooms (we took a King mini suite)....great place overall. Highly recommended.

The could be rated as a 5 Star Hotel, Breakfast could have more variety but overall was ok. I often stay a Hilton and this was great from start to finish. The Staff was awesome the room where clean and the beds are comfortable including fast wifi
