We were there for a family occasion held at the hotel and stayed overnight. We had never heard of it so had no idea what to expect. It is beautifully and elegantly furnished, clean, inviting and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was spacious, the bed, linens and towels comfortable. The common areas are very nice also. We would stay there again if we were in the area.

Its right off the highway exit. Outside looks a bit dated and motel like. Inside is nicely appointed with the Ethan Allen furniture look. The room was clean and had a sofa, writing desk and a large television. The bed was firm with good sheets and pillows. The hotel has a lot of functions and the lobby area can be a little crowded especially in the evening. I asked for a quite room and received one the ground floor that overlooks the front parking lot. First time stay. Really nice property. Room was very large and well appointed. Bathroom was also very nice. Only downside was the fan in the AC was a bit loud. But overall very enjoyable stay. Check in was very easy. The property was close to many restaurants and Highway. Would come back again.

The boy and I stayed here recently for one night and were okay with this hotel. Our room and abthroom were clean. Our only complaint was the satelite tv/channels - needs an update when you only have 10 working channels. Also, room service was not available, so we had to order from the bar (not a big deal). Do try the chicken quesadilla ($13) if you are in need of a quick snack!

We were there for 4 nights with our sons wedding party. We had an amazing suite with everything we needed. It was very clean...I walked around bare foot which I don't do at almost NO hotel/motel. Patty on the front desk was helpful beyond what most people have been to me before. It was my son's wedding and I was very stressed out and she made me feel better by just talking to me. It was quiet and the breakfast buffet was great. I will look for Ethan Allen Hotels when I travel again. Thank you Pa... Read more

Called hotel at last minute after being given the runaround at the Hampton Inn where I had a reservation. I called the EAH from the lobby of the Hampton Inn and made a reservation because I was told at the Hampton the room was not ready and would be a 20 minute wait. The hotel appears to be "aging" a bit, but the hotel room was very comfortable. The bed was very nice. The decoration was sophisticated and nicely designed. The room was very quiet; it appears that the hotel has carefully designed the rooms to be relaxingly quiet. The front desk service was good. The restaurant and bar was a little bit disappointing. I had a few strange floating objects in my drink. But the staff were friendly. I will stay there again, as I have routine business in that area.

I booked 2 rooms. One room for myself, the other for the groom the night before his wedding. I booked the rooms prior to the wedding party booking discount. The front desk refused to honor the discount because I paid in full prior to and not under the bride/grooms name. For a hotel that is named for high end furniture quality, they should really change out a lot of the worn and damaged furniture in the rooms. Will not be returning to the Ethan Allen Hotel and would not recommend staying... Read more

I was really happy when I booked my stay at the Ethan Allen hotel because the name is associated with great furniture. Little did I know that the furniture was just the beginning. The staff were extremely courteous, patient and kind for each of the three days I stayed there. My wife and I traveled through Danbury, Connecticut in transit from Texas to Maine. We were delighted with our two day stay at the Ethan Allen Hotel. The staff and the facility were both outstanding in every way. The Front Desk Supervisor Ms. Patty Williams was very professional in assisting with side trip recommendations for excursions into NYC and points of interest in Connecticut. As a retired Corporate Business Head for a restaurant back in California, I most certainly do not think that I could find any place that embodies all of the major and most significant key points of a successful business more than Ethan Allen did in Connecticut. My wonderment is solely due to the contributions of a particular waitress in the dining room, that is, without a surprise, Sahar. We picked this hotel because it sounded more interesting being more of an independent hotel, than the regular chains. Being priced slightly higher than competitors, we were hoping for a step above the rest, but it seemed to be a step below. For instance, the walls were very thin. We could hear the people in the adjoining rooms, and every time someone walked down the hallway. It was a very active evening, with a large party going on. That may have added additional hall traffic and noise, and ... Read more

Meals, servers, and restaurants can be found everywhere, but hospitality cannot. I have come to this conclusion after I had my meal at Ethan Allen's hotel from the most professional Sahar. Liked the hotel very much. The welcoming staff at reception was friendly, efficient, and most helpful. The redone rooms are attractive with comfortable bedding and a Keurig coffeemaker in the room. The reason for four out of five stars is that the lighting is extremely poor! There is a minimal watt bulb in the nightstand lamp--the phone flashlight is needed if you want to read in bed. The desk lamp is also low wattage. This makes for a very dark room. However, the lighting in the bathroom is exc... Read more

We were passing through Danbury and needed some place to stay for a night. Stayed here because the price was right (I believe they have discounted prices due to some renovations) . Great staff and service, nice linens, clean facility. Safe and quiet. Bar and restaurant was nice (cookie cutter but nice). Bed was soft in a good way. Tv was flat screen and pretty big. Furniture was pretty beat up and carpet in common areas was ready to be replaced. But for our purposes, this place was a steal!

Finding this hotel was a miracle. After many long hours on the highway, and a not so impressive stay at another hotel the night before, Ethan Allen was perfect. The hotel itself was well appointed. The rooms were well decorated, spacious, and clean. My king bed was perfect. They should sell the pillows in the lobby for guests to take home. Kohler bath fixtures, and not a spot of lime or mildew in the shower or on the rain fall shower head. Great stay, left really refreshed

I've been back to the restaurant a few times bringing friends with me and they all love it just as much as I do. The Ethan Allen Hotel and its Restaurant is definitely a place where I can feel at home.

Outstanding in every way. Claudio whipped up a gluten free alfredo wirh chicken and broccoli that wasn't even on the menu and offered a bunch of great options. The beds are super comfortable, and the pillows are so good that they have them for sale. Patty, Gina, Claudio, and Jackie were all great. We found this place as we needed a place en route to see family in Cincinnati and friends in PA. It's all decorated with Ethan Allen furnishings so really nice. Great find and great value, and a great ... Read more

I stayed at this location for a week. its such a gorgeous hotel. The staff was so friendly. Sabrina was the first person at the front desk I met and she was very sweet. Then I had met the supervisor Lilly and she upgraded me to a nicer room and she was vert attentive and very professional. I also wanted to say the Sales manager Sue Scott was very helpful to me and very kind also. I would definatly come back to this hotel. I highly recomend it to everyone.

Attended my sister-in-law's wedding and reception here on 09/10/2016 that she had been planning for over a year. We couldn't miss it and my husband was a groomsman! The room was fine but the service left a lot to be desired. Charged her $10,000 (the zeros are correct) for 8 hours...count them...8 hours of an open bar and some guests were not served drinks. Not only have I never ever heard of an 8 hour open bar at a wedding reception I was wondering if its even legal. The event planner at the ... Read more

We were able to find a nice room at a good rate at the last minute. Very good service at the hotel and in the restaurant. Enjoyed our waitress Gina at our dinner. She was very pleasant and accommodating. Would be glad to come back here when passing through the area.

Overall a very nice visit. Expected a little fancier furnishings since it is Ethan Allen but I had a standard room so maybe upgraded room types are different. Bed was comfortable. Check in experience was great, I arrived before check in time after driving 4.5 hrs and the staff worked to find out the status of my room so I could get checked in before I headed out for the day. Thank you! Also, Sahar, who works in the lounge is great-super friendly, treats you like family, focused on service, and m... Read more

Upon arriving to check in, the staff was very organized, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice size and quite. The bar was very busy due to Thursday Night Football. Breakfast was your standard buffet or you have the menu option.

We stayed at this facility based on online reviews. We were enroute to New England and wanted something close to the interstate, clean, and reasonably priced. The Ethan Allen Hotel met all these criteria. The room was nice, hotel in general was spacious although it could use a good "facelift" from years of use, conferences, etc. Areas looked worn. However, all in all we were very pleased with the staff, and had no issues with our stay. I would point out the restaurant was excellent. Quite... Read more

Thank You Ethan Allen Danbury! We had been in NYC all day for business and had planned a quiet CT location for an overnight before continuing our trip north to Maine. Booking: I had been in the hospitality field for 13 years, so I want to compliment your polite and informative reservation staff, who honored the preferred rate available online. Arrival: Warm Greeting and seamless check-in. Our keys were waiting for us. Accommodations: The room was a great value. It was comfortable, clean, a... Read more

My visit to Ethan Allen was particularly busy for the hotel, yet it was marvelous. This hotel provided my husband and I with a fresh and delicious meal that is worth the price. The furniture is very plentiful and looks nice. However, I came to this hotel because of the exceptional reviews on TripAdvisor that excited me. I am going to tell you that what people say of Sahar is of course true but it cannot be deciphered in words when she is serving you. She is incredibly honest, respectful, and swe... Read more

I can't believe how amazing the staff is here. I walked in after a long flight and drive. They greeted me like I was an old friend. The staff could not be more accommodating and made sure I knew where everything was and made sure I knew breakfast would be available even with my anticipated early departure. The place is like walking into an Ethan Allen showroom. The lobby and especially the room.. WOW. So luxurious. Don't miss this fantastic place. The food was amazing. I had a chopped salad with... Stayed here a few nights and was very impressed, friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious hotel, very well appointed rooms that were well finished, clean, good quality. Breakfast was generous and again the staff were very friendly. Good location if travelling, it is near an intersection which is busy, but no need to leave the hotel once checked in. Recommend
