The current ongoing hotel renovation is very nice. However, on this stay, the AC was not working in the room and would only "heat" the room versus "cool" it for me on my May 2016 stay. I did mention this to the front desk and they were going to look into it but the issue was never resolved during my 6 day stay. They did offer some Hilton Honors Points so I am waiting for those to be deposited into my account.

The renovated rooms were nice. However, five police cars, two ambulances and a fire truck were a little much. This created a tense hotel atmosphere which existed from early afternoon Saturday into early evening. Very tense!

The hotel is scheduled to complete it's renovation during the summer of 2016. The guest rooms that have been renovated are very nice; contemporary design in gray with splashes of color for accent. They haven't started the lobby or restaurant/bar. Both need to be updated.

made a reservation for a queen accessible room, but when we got there, we were upgraded to a king room, but it was small. should have kept the accessible room. the bathroom was so small that you had to close the door to access any part of it. the bed was comfortable, but it was the only comfortable thing about the room. price was just OK, but we won't stay there again, as when the hotel is done remodeling, I am sure the price will go way up.

My family and I stayed here 3 nights to visit family. We were put on the newly renovated 5th floor. The room was very nice and clean. Never heard any renovations going on. The room was comfortable although the bed was a little hard. Very nice staff! Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again for another visit. Could not get the wifi/internet to work after being pushed off to a call center from the front desk where no one answered and no one called back. Elevators didn't work one day, and no warning was given by the staff. So we had to use the stairs that only exited outside. So we had to walk around the hotel in order to get back in. Lastly, I woke up the last day and looked at the pillow I was sleeping on, beneath the pillow case i could see a blood stain the size of a baseball. Needless to say ... Read more

Initially, we had reserved a standard room with two double beds, but at the time of our arrival we found out that those rooms had been filled. I stay at this hotel when business brings me to Denver. Always consistent, quality customer service. The renovation they are going through will make the hotel even more lovely than it already is. I have not tried their restaurant since they changed but always enjoyed the burger when I was there. The menu is good and a little less (but not much) than typical hotel food prices. The room I stayed in this time had recently been renovated and had a few kinks that needed to be addressed - which... Read more

I have stayed at many DoubleTree locations in the past, but this one seemed to be quite in disarray which is unusual based on my prior experience. First, construction efforts completely blocked the entrance making loading and unloading difficult. This is a fine hotel but difficult to find for the first-timer. Getting the right street and turnoffs is confusing but don't despair. By the time you are ready to leave, you'll have it down pat. At the time this hotel is undergoing a major facelift. Once completed, the experience will be much better though the services were fine at this time.
