This hotel was very clean and accommodating. The rooms are huge. The restaurant was tasty although we only had room service. We were worried about the highway noice because of the close proximity to the truck weigh station. We didn't even notice it. I would've thought recommend this hotel for your stay in Trinidad

We when on a road trip from Creede Colorado to Dallas Texas and we didn't have a place to stay in Trinidad so we started looking for the best hotel we could find.... So we found the holiday inn! The holiday inn is the BEST hotel in Trinidad! ????????????

When I checked in, the desk clerk was very busy. However, he was very efficient in getting me checked in. My third floor queen room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. A room on the back side, away from traffic was a good choice. I went to their bar to see what they offered for Happy Hour, and discovered that a pint of domestic beer on tap cost $2. All the beers offered were macro brews. It seemed that almost everyone sitting at the bar was a local. They frequent the bar because it is such a go... Read more

I stayed here while on a project, and it was the perfect setup. The room was up to par; clean and well maintained. Quiet and well built. Front desk had a "loaner" power cord. Highs: location, restaurant, happy hour, indoor pool. Lows: ice machine broken-and located on one of the 3 floors. I will definitely return

I've stayed here multiple times and it consistently gives great service and a great stay. Facilities are well maintained and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Easy on/off location, nice restaurant, and service station is located next door. Makes for a great location.

This Holiday Inn is the best place to stay in Trinidad. It is very clean and well maintained. A plus is the restaurant located right in the lobby area which has excellent food as well. We stayed here while buying our house and have eaten at the restaurant numerous times since then.

There is not a lot to say about this hotel. If we didn't have IHG points that were about to expire we wouldn't have stayed here. These is so little difference between a Holiday Inn and a Holiday Inn Express these days that I can't understand why people stay in HIs. The room was large, quiet and clean, but that's expected and normal these days. The Wi-Fi was good, but that's standard these days. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as there are many good to excellent choices nearby that are much... Read more

My family and I went on a road trip to celebrate the end of school and we stayed at this location for a weekend and it was a great experience. First of all I believe this is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Every part of it was clean, the lobby, the elevators, the hallway and especially the rooms. Our room had an excellent view of the mountains. The staff was super friendly as well. There is a restaurant in this hotel which says it is independently owned. My family and I ate dinner ther... Holiday Inns are hit-or-miss for us and the hotel was an AWESOME HIT! This was a one-night stay while enroute to Colorado, and we chose this Holiday Inn because it had a restaurant. Long day of traveling and I just didn't want to deal with going out to dinner or making something in a microwave. We were welcomed as we walked in, check-in was quick, and before we knew it, we were in our quiet. clean, spacious, mountain-view room! The room was very well-appointed, which included a stoneware, flatw... Read more

This hotel is really nice. The hotel is set away from the interstate so road noise isn't an issue. Rooms on the front side have good mountain views, while rooms in the back don't have any view. However, rooms in the back are quiet. Rooms are a good size, well lighted, and clean. Beds are comfortable, with both firm and soft pillows. The restaurant at this hotel is terrible. Food is consistently bad. I've eaten in in three times, and have been disappointed each time. I sort of wish this hotel w... Read more

We only stopped for a quick night, but staff was extremely nice, room was very clean and beds comfy. Climate control is great. There is a restaurant - Kids under 12 eat free with accompanying adult meal. We only ate breakfast and it was good. Check in and out was flawless. We'd definitely stay again.

We only stayed one night at this location. I didn't like that the already small bathroom vanity was cluttered with the coffee pot and tray and ice bucket and glasses with tray. They only give you 3 sets of towels with a 2 queen bed room. There was not a frig in our room and the coffee was always out in the lobby. I had to tell the front desk that the lobby bathroom was a mess, with no toilet paper. But it served our purpose as a one night stay.

Comfortable bed and pillow was a good start. Add to that a clean facility and courteous staff we were satisfied with what we got. Easy to get to off the road. I left a shirt and 10 days later I called and they had my shirt. The price was a bit high and I prefer a larger bed.

I just wanted to thank a few staff members for their great service, help and attention to our fur baby which joined us on this trip. Tami, Jessica and Archer were tremendous in making sure that not only our needs were met with fast and friendly service but also the needs of our fur baby. We were pleasantly surprised and happy with our accommodations at this hotel. We had a nice suite that was perfect for our family of 5. The place was clean, staff was helpful and nice. The beds were comfortable as well. The food in the restaurant was really good! We ate dinner and breakfast there and it was very good. The only drawback was there wasn't a complimentary breakfast and hot tub wasn't working. The pool is small and indoors but our kids didn't mind, they had fun! We would de... Read more

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Rooms were nice. Restaurant on site, however, we did not try it. Easy access to and from the freeway. Only complaint is NO FREE breakfast. Not a bad place to stop for the night. Staff was very friendly and offered some very good choices for dinner and directions.

We stayed here for one night with our family of four. The hotel was very clean and well kept. It cost us $200 for a single night and they claim they are "suites, but don't have free breakfast" - most suites we stay in at least have a mini-fridge in the room - this did not....the breakfast was ok/not great and should be free. We stayed at another hotel in Frisco, CO that was $70 less per night and it had all of these perks.

Overall this hotel does a good job and the on-site restaurant is better than the mediocre hotel fare found at many mid priced hotels. The one downside to this hotel is that it appears to be an older, yet nicely renovated, building which is just a little too noisy for me. Every time someone closed the door in the hallway whether it was next-door or 10 doors down you would hear it loudly. It woke us up a few times during the night, so if you're a light sleeper you might want to look elsewhere.

Not what I have come to expect from a Holiday Inn. No breakfast unless you order overpriced room service or go to overpriced restaurant downstairs. They have a so called pantry downstairs which only stocks a few items that are also overpriced. No fridge or microwave in our room. Unfriendly staff with the exception of housekeeping. The motel is clean and the beds were fine, but I imagine there are other motels in area that are a better value.

We stayed here with our golden retriever and was hoping for a grassy area to walk dogs. Unfortunately, the hotel is surrounded by concrete, very little areas of grass. We drove to the Trinidad Lake to walk him but were surrounded by mosquitos in the summer. The hotel itself is very clean and right off the highway, easy to find.

We just stopped by to see if we could get a room. Our first choice was a King bed which they had, a suite. The gentleman noticed we had a USAA credit card and asked if my husband was retired military, which he was, therefore we got a Military rate $40 cheaper than the regular rate. Awesome! Then we get to the room! Wow! A separate living room with wet bar and a bedroom that could be closed off. It had 2 TV's. Then the bed! OMG! it was nice and firm! I am in love!

This was a very nice hotel. It was clean and modern. The staff was nice. There were food choices nearby. My only complaint was that there was a restaurant instead of a free breakfast. They even had Bath and body works toiletries.

My parents and I stayed here for one night on our way to the mountains. This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. I appreciated the firm and soft pillow selections, too! There is a Wendy's and a Mexican restaurant nearby. My parents had the hotel breakfast in the morning and thought it was very good. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is located off the interstate so that's a good thing. The service was outstanding. In fact, I had two of the staff volunteer to help with bags both while I was unpacking on arrival and while I was trying to pack prior to departure. Another of the staff brought coloring books and crayons for my two children while I was having breakfast. I wish the other Holiday Inns would take some lessons from this property on how to treat their customers.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff! Stayed here on our way to southwest Colorado vacation in September , 2016. The location was great being right off of the interstate and across from a WalMart. The only problem that I had was that we had ordered dinner from the restaurant that is in the hotel and I had gone down and picked the dinner up and the waitress asked if I wanted to put it on my hotel credit card and I said OK. We stayed here on rewards points- so I can't speak to the value for the money... but it was new, well appointed, and staff were accommodating. This is not an Express, so there is no free breakfast, but they are quick to tell you that up front. Likewise no fridge and microwave, but they brought up a minifridge to the room upon request. The only two things I could find to negatively critique- the layout of the closet door to entrance door to bathroom door were poorly laid out so that they knocked... Read more

Came onto this Hoiday Inn Express when we decided to quit fighting the high winds batting us around on the Interstate. Walked in with no reservations and the accepted our AAA membership. Got into the room and was not disappointed at all! It was clean and large with a Kuerig coffee maker which I immediately put to use. Check-in was flawless and quick, the room was on the West side of the property and we had a great view of the Mountains, the room was large and clean and up to date. You don't get a free breakfast, but the on site restaurant was excellent and price was reasonable. Noticed that there were quite a few locals eating there so it must be consistent.
