Stayed June 22nd 2013 for 2 nights in room 206. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you upon arrival, very large Double king bedroom, good size bathroom with bath and shower, with Flat screen TV, Microwave, Fridge, Coffee Maker , coffee packs (extra fresh coffee available next to check in), bottled water and free snacks, direct easy access onsite parking to the room. Great central Steamboat Springs location (no traffic noise). Highly recommended, will be returning again on our next trip, go and s... Read more

Stayed one night in the Alpiner recently. The room is a decent size and is clean, but it is very dated and tired. Modern variation themed hotel. Nice , modest rooms with firm pillow top beds, The breakfast was a bit on the sparse side, but not out of style. reasonble location for most of downtown. Price seemed a bit steep, but since it's in a ski town, that;s understandable.

We pulled in to get a room. The outside was shabby, needing a paint job. The office door was locked, until some guy opened it and asked what I wanted. What would one expect I wanted? It looked dirty inside and I walked away. I would recommend you STAY AWAY!

I've stayed at the Alpiner a few times. It does not have all the amenities of the big name lodges in town but it makes up by being right in the heart of downtown, walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants, shopping and the river.
