This is a great property! Newly remodeled with carpet, beds, linens, even a new elevator! Rooms are quite spacious for this type of hotel, which is a bonus when you have ski gear for the whole family. The pool is large enough to actually swim some laps & there is a nice hot tub, too. Breakfast has REAL scrambled eggs (made by the very friendly hostess, Mary), not the pre-made, processed omlets or egg pucks many chains have these days. Staff were all friendly & helpful. We will stay here again to... Read more

My wife and I thought hotel was very nice. It was clean and well kept. The breakfast was good. Good WiFi. Pretty quiet. Everyone from the desk clerk to the housekeeping staff were very friendly. We thought it was unusual to open your window and you are looking right at the back yard of someone's house (we were on the ground floor). No fence or anything.

Stopped here for one night. Good location close to restaurants. Nice and clean room. My surprise came at the breakfast, which had a nice variety of food, including fruit. The very friendly lady taking care of the spread actually offered to cook some scrambled eggs just for me because those offered contained peppers, which I can't eat. They were delicious and I will not forget her kindness and special effort.

Business travel often requires that you stay at an "appropriate" hotel brand. While I can rack up more points elsewhere, when I can, I always stay here. Sometimes the best place to stay isn't necessarily the newest or trendy-ist. Granted, this venue is dated, but clean, comfortable with hot tub with great jets and a breakfast made with TLC. Jessica always welcomes me and take care of my every whim. Try it you'll like it!

We had to make a one night stop, and chose the Comfort Inn because we usually have good results. This one did not disappoint, in fact, it's a top one in the comfort Inns we've tried. Very clean, well maintained, large rooms, two sinks! we will come again.

Ms. Mary, the breakfast chef, offers delicious eggs, blueberry waffles, and sausages. We stay at many Comfort Inns and found this breakfast to be one of the best. she also offers chicken chili soup as part of the breakfast menu, but get there early if you want some!!!

Stopped here before a few times and always a good stay. Used my points so not sure about cash value. Clean, friendly and enjoyable. Breakfast was very good and Ms. Mary was running the presentation and entertaining us guests in the morning. She deserves an attaboy from management! I would recommend if passing through this neat little town.

The shower head was mounted so low I had to duck to wash my hair and I am only 5 ft 8 inches. The night light in the bathroom didn't work so the kids had to turn on the light to use the bathroom. The switch also turned on the loudest vent fan ever. It is louder than my vacuum. Woke me up several times. Room and pool area definitely need updates or cleaning. Dingy. Hotel was fairly empty compared to other hotel lots in town. Now I know why. I usually really like Comfort inns but this one failed... Read more

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean enough, however, had a distinct body odor smell (quite possibly bad luck in who was in the room before us). The pool was appealing because we were traveling with two young kids - it was alright, although it seemed very salty??? We wouldn't avoid staying at this hotel in the future, but we would also probably try out another option.

My girlfriend and I spent the night here last night (6/24/16). It was a comfortable room with good beds. As another reviewer said the shower head is very low. I had to duck down to wash the soap off my head...I'm only 5'10". And there wasn't much water pressure either. The overall cleanliness was great though. And the free breakfast was yummy. It was just a quick stay, but it was a nice one at that...may stay here again when in Salida if the price is good. It was a bit pricy for this stay at $16... Read more

Stayed here for a one night visit to Salida. Conveniently located just outside of historic Salida. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Inn is clean and serves a great breakfast before your travels.

Like most Comfort Inns, this one is clean and well presented and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was acceptable, but nothing to get excited about. No other food or drink facilities on site, but two blocks down on the opposite side of the highway is Wallbanger's Bar and Resturant. This is the saving grace. A good evening out, with lovely food and plenty of beer all at a very reasonable price. There isn't much else in Salida.

As always the Comfort Inn has been our first choice. It was in a great location in the small town of Salida. Beds were great, very convenient to everything, staff was very helpful and the pool was terrific.

This is an average Comfort Inn. It is newer or newly renovated. Everything was quite nice. The breakfast was adequate with eggs, meat, cereal, yogurt, bagels, pastries, etc. The nicest lady hosted the breakfast every morning. Had an indoor pool. Water in our room wasn't very hot - not sure if that was time of day or if there was a problem, but we received a discount because of it. The shower head was really low as well - not good for tall people. The exterior security fob wasn't install... Read more

WHAT IS GOOD - Helpful staff - Large clean room - Continental breakfast included - Indoor pool - Fairly close to downtown Salida. WHAT NEEDS WORK - Mold smell - A bit pricey for a basic room. FINAL WORD - Basic hotel on highway TIP - Drive into town - quaint.

Needed a place to stay for the night and wanted to fish in the area. Most places were full and I wanted to stay with trusted chain establishments. Room smelled musky, mildewy and the floor between the beds was damp, so couldn't pull shoes off. In middle of night I was awakened to awful smell. Discovered the ac unit was sucking in a "foul" odor from outside.....enough to help in the decision to leave the town. Didn't complain because it might have been a 1 time occurrence. It was clean overa... Read more

My first time staying at Comfort Inn and it was a good experience. Check-in took a bit longer than I would have liked but the clerk was friendly despite some frustration with the computer system and key card machine. When we entered our room it smelled a bit musty but it went away after running the AC for a little while. Other than that the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A good number of TV channels and the mini-fridge was nice since we had a few things to keep cold. Breakf... Read more

Jasmine was friendly and helpful at the front desk. The place could use a cleaning crew to make it a little more presentable on the inside. Turned the AC real low and left for the Historic Downtown area. The smell was a little better when we returned. Just OK. Fortunately we were passing through and only stayed one night.

We stayed here for several days on our ten day road trip. This hotel met all our needs. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is impressive with many choices. Mary does a great job keeping the breakfast area clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling with a large truck and trailer looking for a last minute room with a parking lot big enough. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating when we arrived despite our long trailer! We found the rooms to be clean and the staff very friendly. The best part however is their breakfast. Ms. Mary is a very good cook, and has some great stories to tell if you stay to chat with her. The spread has something for everyone (even a picky 9 year old). We enjoyed the pool and ho... Read more

We stayed here for a night when touring through CO. Stayed in suite which was roomy with plenty of room for us and our 5 teen/young adult kids. Had kitchen with full sized fridge, but no stove or oven. Pool was small, but clean. Had decent- sized hot tub. Breakfast as expected with waffle maker. Convenient to downtown Salida, but not walking distance. No complaints!

We stayed at this Comfort Inn on a recent trip to Salida. It was last minute, and there weren't a lot of nearby options, so that's why we stayed here. Our room was clean and quiet. We loved the proximity to town. For the price, you get what you pay for. I'm giving it a high score because it was exactly as expected for a reasonable price. We would stay here again.

We stayed at this property on our way to Aspen/Snowmass, CO. We have had numerous stays in other Comfort Inn/Suites. Our room smelled as if someone previously stayed in the room and had not bathed in a long time -- a bad BO smell. The same was true for the room down the hall from us where other family members traveling with us stayed. Two rooms with the same smell well down the hallway from each other indicates something other than a previous patron with BO. We reported it to the front desk... Read more

Good housekeeping in this hotel. And the beds and pillows are scrumptious. I slept well. We had the misfortune of a neighbor who smoked in the bathroom. We tried reporting, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Breakfast selections were the usual. What amazed me was how good the coffee was. A real waker upper with flavor. Amenities included a hot tub and a pool. It was my mistake not to go to the website to learn this.

We really liked this hotel. The room was clean, had two sinks (one in the bathroom and another in the little hallway leading to the bathroom) nice mirrors, fridge, microwave, big TV, and the wifi worked great. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. There is also an elevator on the far end of the hotel to the 2nd floor rooms. We chose the upper floor so we would not be bothered by people walking overhead all night. Also we were given a room on the back side away from the highway. It was su... Read more

Very nice Comfort Inn. Extra clean, comfortable and quiet. Friendly staff at the front desk. The best continental breakfast, by far, we had on our two week road trip through CO and UT. Easy to get to the great restaurants in a quaint riverfront town.
