We stopped for one night and had a lovely room that had just been remodeled. The room was simple and modern with a lovely bathroom. However, the room overlooked the parking lot and the dumpster and the air conditioner was very loud. Be sure to ask for a street view room. The hotel is located within walking distance of great restaurants on Main Street. It also has covered parking and very convienient access. I would stay again, just in a different room location.

Nice rest stop on our way to Las Vegas. Nothing special about the property but it met our expectations. It's central location makes it walking distance to a few restaurants. There is some covered parking which is nice because of potential hail in spring.

The only good thing about this hotel was that we had a roof over our heads that night. Oh, and wi-fi worked. I believe we grabbed the last room and we paid a high rate for it. First - the front desk employee was not overly welcoming. Perhaps, because she had somebody waiting on the phone and she wanted to tend to the caller. But when we asked a simple question about places to grab a bite, she dismissed us with incorrect information. Then the elevator had a very strong musty odor, but it did not ... Read more

We stayed one night in May on a package tour of the States. The room was clean and comfortable, but not memorable; situated at one end of the main (i.e. only) street. This was one of the very few hotels on our trip which included a free buffet breakfast - for which we were very grateful.

Loved this hotel. It is convenient to the cozy main street of Grand Junction. Rooms are clean, well stocked and nice and sizeable. They are also updated. The breakfast is not bad with a wide range of breads, pastries, cereals, yogurts, some standard fresh fruits, and eggs and sausage patties. Eggs were a bit rubbery. They have complimentary teas and coffees. Parking was $6. Not sure that there was any other option as there isn't much on street parking. A few minor things could make this a 5... Read more

Not only was the hotel terrific and well-located, the staff was unbelievable. I arrived early evening with an eye infection. Mary Hawkins, the General Manager, not only recommended an eye doctor that was open late, she took me there. And, she waited to make sure I was OK and took me back to the hotel. Then, after all that, she recommended a wonderful Italian restaurant in town. Wouldn't it be great if everyone in the hotel industry was like Mary?

Since our fall stay this hotel has been renovated and refurbished...and not redone on the cheap! Bathrooms were gutted and a walk in shower installed along with sink and wallpaper, new carpet, new window treatments, new furniture. The shared barn door is a neat idea for bathroom and closet. Rooms are quiet and little corridor noise is heard.m The breakfast was a typical Hampton Inn breakfast however, we raphsodized over the fresh strawberries! Only negatives.. The room was very clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable as well. Keep in mind there is only one entrance (without a pass key) to the hotel. So, when you check-in, go to the front or you have to circle the whole building to gain entrance. Only reason I bring this up is there is a roundabout near the front and it causes confusion. Pool was under maintenance when we were there, had to use the Fairfield pool next door. The Hampton pool is outdoor. Only one elevator in the hotel and it is s... Read more

Beautifully appointed furnishings, lovely colour schemes. Very convenient to walk to nearby restaurants and plenty of parking. Some broken items in room and coffee maker on pull out shelf at ground level, so had to kneel on the floor to use it - very difficult. Bed was very firm so not a poor nights sleep. Had to ask for two items to be replenished at the buffet breakfast and staff not too keen to help out or clean tables.

The good first--room is clean & well appointed (nice fridge, lots of charging outlets, modern bathroom etc.). The breakfast is standard Hampton Inn-- hearty, plentiful & hot, but not made to order nor gourmet. Lots of coffee and flavored ice water (lemon/lime). Staff is friendly. The bad initially stems from hotel design. Narrow hallways make managing luggage carts and housekeeping carts difficult, especially if both are in the hallway at the same time. My only issue with a lot of hotels is the "boil in the bag" hot breakfast. This is where the hot item, like bacon, is precooked in another state and then heated up on location before serving. This location appears to take the time to fry the heated bacon for a couple of minutes before serving. That may not sound like much, but it does give the bacon a chance to be chrispy.
