We spent a week here. The place does need some updating but is slowly being renovated. Pool and hot tubs were just fine. The restaurant served only dinner but food was very good, prompt, with a good wait staff. For our family the ski area was excellent. If your not a hot dog who gets bored easily this is a great hill for the kids and family. Ticket prices a lot less then Winter Park. We booked a private unit through VRBO. If you book with the hotel you will take your chances.

My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times for 3 day ski getaways. We rent from VRBO, as I think you have to rent from an owner. Both times we've gotten studios which is great for us. They come with a full kitchen, a wood burning fireplace, no have a nice pool/hot-tub on site. It's very convenient for the YMCA of the Rockies, and about 20 minutes from Winter Park. Quiet and romantic, at least it was for us.

It was 2 couples and 2 dogs that stayed at this hotel for the last week of ski in granby ranch. The murphy bed was awful!!! the hotel itself got stuck in time for 4 decades and nothing has happened since. Despite the fact that we did enjoy the ski trip and the fact that it was dog friendly was great, we did not feel that we were getting our money's worth at an almost $200 a night rate.

This place is exceptionally poor. I did not have light bulbs in my bedroom and they didn't have any..'they are on order'. No activities whatsoever and no warning until after I was here. Pool, exercise room, hot tubs, everything closed. No disabled rooms. Parking lot needs new stripes as cars park everywhere. No mid week towel change and trash removal as promised. I have never encountered these problems in RCI resorts in my 38 years as a member.

The accommodations were secure but the room was old and in need of many repairs, most of which were minor. The Murphy Bed was old, sagged in the middle. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Being in the "mud season, many businesses were closed.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in a clean, well-appointed efficiency unit we rented through Airbnb. The Murphy bed was comfortable enough. Nice little patio to have a glass of wine in the evening. This is an older property. Not really fancy. The walls are a bit thin, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs or a white noise machine. We enjoyed the deep soaking tub in the bathroom. We considered the price a good value. The owner of the unit is friendly and easy to c... Read more

I have traveled extensively for business and pleasure, and the staff at this property is the least well trained I have encountered. This is three stays over six years. This time, the front desk announced my room number, and when I objected and explained it was a safety concern, the clerk argued with me instead of apologizing. She said it appeared that I knew the other people waiting in line because we were making conversation. I said it makes no difference, and she continued to defend herself ra... Read more

I selected this lodging based on proximity to nearby recreation. Basically its ride in ride out for mountain biking, which is what works for my husband and I since the recent birth of our daughter. The place is run down and appears to have been designed for tourism that wasn't there. There's a weird mall feel to the lobby, there are several small businesses inside. Perhaps they are open on the weekend or during the winter, but they were closed for my mid week visit. I booked through Airbnb but ... Read more

The building is old and needs updating, the grounds are not well maintained. Handicap access is limited. Handicap parking is on the opposite side of the building from the handicap entrance door. The handicap entrance door does not have the open button and will not stay open by itself. No air conditioning and no back up plan for warm weather. The staff answer to any problem is "well it is an old building" The location is good and it is pet friendly

The pictures look charming and upscale on the website! It is run down and our room was a mixture of furniture that didn't match, the mattress was lumpy, the carpet was different colors and the balcony was dirty and had a dusty wire table with 1 chair. This property has not been kept up in sometime. Even the polar bear in the lobby had its claws pulled out and broken. Very disappointed! Ice machine broken too!

We stayed here for a week with family as a time-share swap. While we had an excellent time, it was despite, not because of, the accommodations - the doors & locks are so funky. We stayed in a 2 room suite. We were issued 4 key cards, 2 for each door (bedroom and living area). In addition there were 2 patio doors to the parking lot and a door between the rooms. First, if you use the wrong key in the hallway doors it deactivates them all. Sometimes the keys randomly don't work. Since we were a... Read more

The hotel really needs updating...all ice machines but one were broken. Hallways dirty, room was out of the 70's. Safety of patio door-when you turned the knob button didn't pop out and it was weighted so we were locked out of room stuck on deck and had to call front desk.

We had a loft suite...2 beds upstairs and a hide away sofa. The room was so clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend. We had fun in the arcade, who doesn't love classic Ms Pac-Man? Place is run down. Nice clean room and a OK pool. No coffee or breakfast. Inn is part condos part hotel. Way understaffed. It one person at desk and they were trainees. The only place I ever stayed at where they were unable to extend my reservation at the front desk. The next morning they sure could do it. Place needs lots of TCL.

This is a very run down facility. There is no air conditioning, so leaving your windows open is a must. Consequently, you hear your neighbors and inhale whatever they are smoking. There is no insulation from one room to the next, so it's very noisy. The pillows are hard and lumpy. We never got maid service, even though we called the front desk at 4:30 pm to request it. The front desk agent, Ashley, could not even apologize for lack of service.

I had a king room and was very surprised at how small it was. Not more than two feet between the foot of the bed and the wall. Two people would be cramped, especially finding a place to open the suitcase. No breakfast or coffee in the lobby. The pool towels are handed out at the front desk on the second floor, the pool is down the steps at ground level. After swimming, a person needs to turn the towels in back upstairs at the front desk, dripping all the way The pool and hot tub are nice, ... Read more

Room was decently cleaned but it had funny smells and the side door into thw next room was broken. So we put a chair in front of it so no one could come in. Secure doors to building weren't secured and only 1 working ice machine. Staff wasn't very friendly and the elevator inspection card was almost a year expired. It did have some nice views tho.

We stayed here for two nights. The public space areas were average but they did have several entertainment options on site. The rooms need to be renovated. Furniture was outdated. The room we stayed in had a tiny kitchen space and a Murphy bed that opened right near the kitchen which made it a bit awkward to maneuverer but we only had the bed down at night. The kitchen had pots/pans/plates/glasses/silverware/utensils, etc. There was also a dishwasher and refrigerator. We would stay here again po... Read more

Booked thru Priceline. For $89. you get clean sheets & towels. THAT's IT! This is one of those places that rents to (transient? homeless?) people on a weekly/monthly basis. They live there. 1/2 of the balconies have bicycles, towels hanging and LOTS of DOGS! Pool - didn't use as residents are screaming at each other. Didn't use the "patio table" on our little patio because it was covered in bird feces and cigarette butts and people walk their dogs right there and they are not carrying a bag w... Read more

This place is a little out of the way but the views are really nice. The rooms are comfortable but the beds are only average. It is a nice property. I believe it would be a really nice place in the winter during ski season to stay if you are skiing in winter park. The drive to winter park is only a half hour and the rooms are a lot less expensive. Restaurants in the hotel are ok. Good beer selection. The town of granby has limited restaurants though. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I'm sure all the rooms vary. The rooms we were in were quite nice, though there was some water damage to the window frame in one room, rendering it unoperable. Though there were signs everywhere that smoking is not permitted in the rooms or balconies, it was obvious that it was being completely ignored, and we could frequently smell cigarette and marijuana smoke. My major detraction was for the pool area. Hands down, it was the filthiest pool I've ever seen. I was shocked at the number of people... Read more

I was very disappointed with this place. We were there for an afternoon family wedding on the ski slope (3:00) but the hotel would not let anybody check in before 4:00.I had to rent a room the night before, even though we would not be using it, so I could have a room by 12:00 the next day. Check out was 10:00. Rooms were ok but could use some maintainance. Parking lot lights were too bright and it was hard to sleep.

The room seemed ok but once we turned down the bedspread we found VERY thread barren sheets. The tub enclosure was extremely water damaged and nasty so we didn't even want to shower before going to bed. In the morning we found the outlet in the bathroom didn't work and so we couldn't dry our hair had to sit on the floor in the bedroom to make coffee (really not usually a big deal but after being awake all night because of the neighbor's TV, ease of coffee was necessary). I think there may be some rooms on the property, but ours (#142) was like an 80's time machine. It was obvious nothing had been done to this room since the hotel was built 30+ years ago. We had one of the studios, which I suspect is really a private condo that is rented by the owner, although the property manages the rental. The shower had a lot of mold and the grout between the tiles was cracked and/or missing in places. The tub drain was clogged so by the time you finished your show, you... Read more

Convenient location, grocery across the highway with McD's, but that's all the positives. Outdated and run down, lots of permanent residents, abandoned cars, trucks and trailers in the parking lot. Room was clean, but old and sloppy. Carpet stains, leaky faucets. 2 of the 4 hot tubs worked (the ones outside) Hallways dirty looking, frayed carpet, old worn out paneling. A shame to waste our hard earned points on this, plus $149. We left 2 days early.

I would strongly encourage if you are staying at this property to know what you are paying for, and read the reviews thoroughly. This is definitely a 1-star (to 2-star, which is a stretch) hotel, nothing more. The positives: 1) The bed in our room (albeit a Murphy Bed, which was not clarified in the "1-Bedroom" reservation), was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep while we were staying for the week. 2) We had a full, fairly stocked kitchen with most everything we needed, wh... The tag line for the nearby Granby Ranch is "Stay for a Lifetime". We stayed at this place for one night and it certainly felt like a lifetime. If you are here for more than a day or two, I highly recommend the condos at Granby Ranch. The lobby isn't so bad, but it goes swiftly downhill from there, starting with the horror film elevators and dank college dorm-meets-Chelsea Hotel corridors. My wfe and I had an average weekend stay at the Inn at Silver Creek. Taken as a whole we enjoyed the lodge area, front desk, pool, hot tub, sauna, etc., but it is dated, needs a significant upgrade, the restaurant's dining room was closed because it was not yet ski season, and the Wi-Fi worked very poorly.
