Upon check in, the front desk staff was engaging. Our room was meh. Our view was some trees and a brick wall. We were on the second floor which is the same floor as the lobby. The halls were very loud and there were lots of children running up and down them. The best part of this stay was Copper Creek and the service we received at breakfast. If we needed to stay in Golden again, we'd consider staying here again.

When we travel, particularly when we are traveling for pleasure, we choose to stay at a Marriott location. Honestly we have been very happy with their amenities and often times we travel with our two greyhounds and they are able sometimes to accommodate them as well. On this particular stay we were traveling from Boston to Denver to attend a wedding. Being a Platinum preferred customer we had asked for an upgrade upon checking in. The hotel was 90 percent filled and the front desk had originall... Read more

Decent hotel but not near anything really other than National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Restaurant is fair and food is over priced. I'd recommend staying in Denver Boulder or even downtown Golden before staying here. Hotel has a pool and gym and conference facilities. Staff is friendly but basically no concierge service which us a disappointment for a full service Marriott

This hotel is next to I-70 therefore lots of road noise in rooms. You have great views of city and mountains. Beautiful lobby and spacious with plenty of chairs and sofas, TVs, and power outlets for business travelers. Staff was very prompt to each person entering, even when there is a large conference going on. Conference rooms are separated well from the rooms. Overall the rooms are normal Marriott style, but nice and clean.

I stayed 2 nights at the Denver Marriott West. It was easy to find and really close to my destination. It was pretty much what you expect from a Marriott. It was clean and it good repair. The bed was really comfortable - memory foam I think. It rained the whole time I was there so I can't say much for the view since it was overcast. Parking was great. The staff was friendly. No complaints. I found a number of places to eat within a few minutes drive as well.

Very nice property and what you would expect from a full service Marriott. Tons of shopping and eating locations within a 1 mile drive and we elected to eat there for dinner one night vs. eating in the hotel. Rooms are nicely appointed but the bathrooms feel on the small side compared to other Marriotts. .

I have been staying here when ever I visit NREL, for the past few years, and I am grateful for it as there don't seem to be any other decent options nearby. It is clean, the staff are accommodating and the food at the high end of the quality stay for Marriott. It is actually one of the best Marriott's I have tried. It is near to a whole foods if you want some creature comforts, so I am always happy to stay here. They have two pet gold-fish type creatures floating in vases at reception. I love an... Read more

This hotel has been renovated and updated since my last stay. We checked in and the front desk gal greeted us with a smile and information we needed to get comfortable. Our room was not ready so we set up in the lobby area to hold a meeting and complete a few work tasks before calling it a day. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The concierge room gal was very helpful and made sure I had access to anything I needed to be comfortable. In the morning I was late to breakfast and the gal w... Read more

I'm a platinum elite marriott member, pretty much live in these haha. I requested a top floor room and when I opened the door to my room was surprised to find someone else already in there. As a result they switched me to a first floor room basically in the corner. Front desk was very nice but I'm disappointed all around.. Won't be staying again Noah

Hotel fine, we were just there for one night. But the staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating when we returned quite late and were hungry and wanting a drink. They opened the little counter and made us food and gave us some wine.

In all my years of being a loyal rewards member, I have to say that this property was a major disappointment. While the lobby was remodeled and looks great, the rooms probably needed remodeling 5 years ago. The furniture is ancient and in terrible condition, the carpet worn out and the mattress uncomfortable. First room had a terrible odor and after complaining twice and eventually going to the front desk, they finally agreed to move us to another room...strange especially after being told ... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights for a business conference. Friendly and efficient Reception staff and fairly standard room. Bed was very comfortable. Didn't use either, but the indoor and outdoor pools looked good. Well located virtually next door to a huge shopping/restaurant/cinema complex. Breakfast in the restaurant and via room service was good. Nice and simple coffee machine in the room but surprised to find a big fridge with absolutely nothing in it.

We have stayed here before. I arrived late in the evening from a delayed flight. We had reserved a balcony room. When we got to our room, no balcony. They stated they didn't have any more available. When paying over 300 dollars a night you would expect to get what you pay for. The room was dirty. The shower wasn't clean. Pubic hairs in the shower. It was disgusting. We really enjoyed the front desk staff and their friendliness, our pleasantly well maintained room and the wonderful amenities. Breakfast was so delicious (the buffet!) and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I will mention the outside pool was a bit dirty (lots of little ants and bugs) but there's an indoor pool too, so problem solved. Parking is a little awkward, so take your time turning in and finding a spot. Overall though, wow! We will be back again!

Really disappointed in this Marriott property. Was looking forward to a nice "Marriott stay" but the room was very outdated, the mattress was like sleeping on a crib mattress and our room was never made up for our 2nd night ( had to call to ask for clean towels, forgot to ask for coffee so did not have any for in the morning.) Got a good rate for one night as part of the class reunion but 2nd night was ridiculous.

Mentioned our anniversary while making reservation. Staff bent over backwards to make us welcome and facilitate celebration. If you are looking for a more economical option from expensive downtown, I would recommend the Denver West Marriott. We booked it on Pricline for half the price of the downtown hotels and rented a car. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable in a very safe area. Not a lot around the hotel so you will drive away to other place but the location made it a nice home base. 20 min to downtown Denver, 20 min to Golden (unless during rush hour). Located right off the interstate exit.

Nice hotel in a quite area. I think it's an older Marriott, so it could probably use some updating. Close to a major mall, so you can find plenty of restaurants nearby. Also close to the interstate so you can get there easily. Would have given it a 5 but the previous occupants, left there room service meal outside the door and it still hadn't been picked up.
