This was my first trip to Glenwood Springs so I didn't really know what to expect. After reading a few reviews of Hotel Colorado, my husband and I decided to stay there. The moment you walk up you see this big courtyard with trees, tables and chairs, flowers and a small pond surrounded by a historic building with tall windows and doors. The moment you step through the doors it looks as though you've walked back in time. Old fashioned furniture, a large fireplace and classic music is what you'l... Read more

We did not stay at this hotel. But we came to have dinner and to walk around and tour the different floors. There is so much history it this building. the two fireplaces are the original fireplaces and they are so beautiful. The antiques furniture are so beautiful. The pictures along the wall tell about the history of the hotel. Even though we did not stay at this hotel I am so glad we went in and checked it out. I would like to stay there one time to see what the inside of one of the rooms look... Read more

Weekend trip. Room was comfortable and seemed authentically dated. The lobby had live music. Views were lovely; location good for walking; proximity to restaurants. Nice stay; good price. Coffee in restaurant needs some help. Food good enough.

We booked this hotel because the price seemed to be much better than the "hotel chains" surrounding it. We were looking to house 4 adults and two kids and found a cute two-room with a jack and jill bath here. It was perfect! We were traveling with some out of town guests from Mexico City and this hotel was a lovely way to show them some style/history of our lovely Colorado. In retrospect, a MUCH better choice than the standard "Holiday Inn." This hotel needs a few updates (the window in one of... Read more

We recently stayed at the Hotel Colorado for the first time in about 10 years. The first thing I noticed walking up to the hotel was that the courtyard looked a little ragged. I assumed it was because it was early spring, and maybe they hadn't had much opportunity to spruce up the place since winter. Unfortunately, it continued when we went into the lobby and eventually up to our room. We've loved staying here over the years because of the history and the charm. Staying here always seemed...
