My husband and I stayed here for a night while traveling across the States. It is a basic motel room but sufficient for a night. What surprised us was the included breakfast the next morning. Excellent Danish, donuts and pastries, bagels, breads, oatmeal, toaster waffles, toaster French toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee and tea. The grounds are actually quite nice offering BBQ grills even. They have heated pools, too. I imagine this is quite the place in ski se... Read more

My room was quiet, clean and spacious. I would recommend this motel. Had a nice indoor pool and sauna. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was not food I can eat, but others loved it. It is in a convenient spot in Glenwood, with a Starbucks right across the street.

My boyfriend and I checked in pretty late and left right before check out. This motel is good as a quick rest stop to continue on your journey. The only complaint I have is that the room had no trash bags or soap.

We stayed at Cedar Lodge just for one night. It was affordable, comfortable, and conveniently located near downtown and the restaurant that we had reservations too. I would stay here again and I would prefer to stay longer next time so that I can get a better idea of the service and amenities they offer.

When we first got there the staff was talking on her cell phone. She told them you need to hang on then she just stared at me and I said I had a room reserved she said name I told her then she put a piece of paper in front of me I filled it out and she handed me my key. I said thank you and have a good day and before I finished saying that she was back on the phone. If I would have just walked in there not had paying for my room already I would have just left. With that being said the room was w... Read more

There's not a lot of extra fluff to this place, it is what it is. A great place to stay that's clean, comfortable, and close to all the awesome-ness that is Glenwood Springs CO. The beds are comfortable, and there is a pool/spa which I personally didn't use while I was there. (I went instead to the Iron Mountain Hot Springs. Check them out!!) The price can't be beat (at least just before peak season when I was there), and I was told by my local friends that it's 'our little secret'. Well, ... Read more

Room was clean and a nice size. The staff was very nice and helpful. This is a simple motel. The keys are keys not cards. It is quiet and simple and was perfect for what I needed. They had big tvs and free WiFi.

When I was visited Glenwood Springs I decided to stay at Cedar Lodge. The hotel is well run, and check-in is easy. The rooms in the hotel are nice and clean. The TV's in the room have a good selection of channels. Also, the beds are nice and comfy. The hotel also contains a pool, which I tried out and it is decent. In the morning, the views from the hotels are beautiful. The breakfast at the hotel is simple, but tasty. Overall, this is a great family hotel.

We found this hotel for a really decent rate during Memorial Day weekend, so we went with it. It has an indoor pool and hot tub, plus a seasonal outdoor pool. The breakfast was ok- nothing too special, typical hotel breakfast. There's a Starbucks and Safeway across the street, restaurants close by, and a wal-mart down the road if you forgot anything. The room itself was fine. We got the family room with 3 queen beds and it was laid out a little funny. When you walk in it has 2 queen beds in the ... Read more

The best part about these rooms were the comfy beds! The kids were disappointed at the size of the pool, when we picked it the picture made it seem bigger, breakfast was pretty standard. The rooms were quite nice, big beds. We stayed three nights, our first hotel was this, and we went ahead and switched for the next two nights.

Our room was tiny and stunk of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. I have never stayed in a hotel room that was as small as the room we stayed in here. There were fragments of insects in the bed and all over the sheets. The furniture was beaten up and the carpets were frayed and pulling away from the floor. There was a very small window and a couple of lamps with dim bulbs. The room was so dark that it was difficult to see anything. The woman at the check-in des... Read more

This is an awful hotel. It is located a mile from downtown- not in downtown. We always stay in budget hotels- so, we do not expect luxury. Our room was infested with bugs in the bedding and cockroaches in the bathroom. When we arrived, the desk clerk attempted to charge us $35 more for the room per night than the reservation price. We refused to pay the higher rate and the desk clerk got really nasty. Our room was the smallest hotel room that I have ever seen- it was like a closet with a tiny wi... Read more

Meeting family going on a vacation and enjoying time with one another is so important to us. We booked a few family suites at the Cedar Lodge in Glenwood Springs. The suites were immaculate...staff was friendly and the location was perfect. We were able to prepare our meals there and this helped us not to worry about the time of day trying to get everyone together instead we spent more time as a family relaxing and enjoying Glenwood. When I visit family in Glenwood I stay at the Cedar Lodge because this place is affordable, the rooms are clean, & the beds are comfortable. They have an indoor pool with a hot tub and a dry sauna and outdoor pool which my kids love. Free wi-fi and continental breakfast is always a plus. They also have BBQ grills in which we always just run down the street to the grocery store to buy food to grill on. Overall, this place is very well maintained and their staff is very helpful and polite. If you ... Read more

We were looking for a hotel/motel with outdoor pool and Cedar Lodge has indoor and outdoor pool. When it's 90 degrees outside it's a plus . Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The room we stayed was on second floor. Most of the time was quiet. Motel has a breakfast from 6-10 am. Didn't try it, because we wanted to sleep in. We had our own food we brought with us.

Really nice place. 95 rooms. Our room looked to be very well maintained. Outdoor pool as well as indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Good size breakfast room. Nice selection of items. Yogurt cups, hard boiled eggs, 2 cereals, apple and orange juice, Hot cocoa and French Vanilla. Doughnuts, bagels, toaster waffles (plain and blue berry), toaster French toast, bread for toast. Had 5, 4 slice toasters so never had to wait. Fresh fruit. The plus for us was having grills to cook meals. On the... Read more

Decided on this budget motel based on reviews. What a find! Even though it is on a busy road, it is not noticeable because the buildings surround the parking area. Staff super friendly and accommodating. It is not an updated motel or posh by any means, BUT it was clean, beds were comfortable and had great shower pressure! Those are the things that are important to me. Spent a few extra dollars for the family suite. It had 3 beds! It was spacious for my family of four and having a third bed ... Read more

We went with friends, so instead of getting two rooms, we booked a family suite. This was two rooms with a shared bathroom. The only drawback was that the bathroom was in the first room and you needed to go through it to get to the second room. The first room had two queen beds and the second room had one queen. This would be perfect for a family.

We were impressed with the room and cleanliness. The rooms are large and very clean. They have two pools, one in door and one outside. Both were large and clean. The hotel was easy to find although it was not right off the interstate. Breakfast was very good and the area was clean.

Motel is a bit dated but for the price it was super clean. We had plenty of room in our room. It had 2 queen beds, a small dinette table, and plenty of room to walk around. Very nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in room. Location is great as it's close to everything. Staff was very nice.

Wonderful place! It is an older motel, but just invites you in with it's charm and grace. There are two pools - inside and out, a couple of areas to just sit and relax or fix something on the provided grills. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Seems they have several different rooms aimed for families. We would have loved to stay here several days! Pride is shown in how the Lodge is kept.

What a great place to stay. Reasonably priced and clean rooms. The pools were great as was the breakfast room - very social. The staff were also very friendly and went out of their way to help us when the airline had lost my husband's luggage. Thank you to the staff - we had our luggage returned 'finally' by the airline. We appreciated all the help given to us. We will be back.

We stayed at the cedar lodge in April and again in July and both times we had a good experience. The frist time we stayed in a room with two queen size beds. It was a nice and clean room. Noting fancy it was a standard room with 2 beds mini-fridge and microwave. The second time we stayed in a kitchenette suite. Both times the rooms were clean. The kitchenette had a full size kitchen with pots pans and dishes 2 beds and a pull out couch. They have 2 pools (the outdoor is only open in the summer ... Read more

We stayed one night at this cute lodge. We opted for this over a chain hotel for its quaintness and price. Don't let the outside fool you, the rooms are completely updated, furnished and cleaned as well as (if not better) than any of the nearby chains. The rooms all have outside entrances and the doors are still the old style lock and key, so if you are a safety nut this might not be for you. We had no issues at all and felt quite safe. The check in process was a pleasant experience. The f... Read more

The rooms are clean, but the lighting was terrible. Also, the barbecue areas were insane! There were large cookouts and people all over the place. We were wiped out and needed to rest, and were unable to sleep do to all the noise, and the kids running up and down the walkway outside the rooms. It was like people were in Glenwood to visit this motel, and do nothing else!

This motel is good if you are in need of a bed and shower and do not want to spend much money. While they do not allow smoking in the rooms, many of the other guests smoked and were outside their rooms smoking cigarettes at all hours. There was a decent amount of noise (car and room doors slamming) throughout the night. There were only two small towels for two adults. It is ok for student travelers, who need a shower and a bed.

This is an out of the ordinary motel as it has several nice outdoor places to sit in the sun and read or just relax. The garden areas are beautifully maintained . The outside pool is a little chilly but very welcome on a hot day . I didn't try the indoor pool but it looks good . The room is comfortable but unusually does not have coffee making facilities . It was a decent last minute place for a night. It did have a quick breakfast. It was very crowded, like a family reunion had booked most of the place. Nothing fancy. The rest of the town was booked solid for some community event happening the same weekend as my conference was. It was within walking distance of some restaurants, a convenience store and some other stores.

It was one of the unforgettable experience in my life, we spent one night at there, the room was very clean and quite, we were very loud but no one complains, how can you dislike this hotel? The only thing is parking lot is not very large, there is only one car per parking spot

This older motel is just that...older. It is clean, the beds are comfortable, the tv's are new, the bathroom was recently tiled. But the furnishings are fact some are old enough to be "quaint!" The breakfast is ordinary...cereal, yogurt, frozen waffles, fruit, bagels and pastries...entirely adequate. If you are looking for a modern feel this is not your place. If you want clean and comfortable this fits the bill!

You get what you pay for. Affordable, yes. Comfortable, no. Pillows were so horrible I still have neck pain. My last night in the lumpy bed was Sat; it is Wed! Also, do not, I repeat DO NOT let them book you in room 147! It shares a wall with the Breakfast room, you will be rudely awaken at 6am by loud people. Staff was nice, doesn't make up for the rest though.

The breakfast is good but carbohydrates loaded cereal rolls breads oatmeal bagels toaster waffles. Coffee tea orange juice plus fresh fruit yogurt. I just wish the rooms were as nice. I had to hang a towel in the widow to cover the part that the curtain didn't. Really well lit parking lot. Older style of motel access from the parking lot and reAl keys. The air conditioning is one of the type that is intermittent in operating. The pool was closed so I can say anything.

This is a very basic room that is clean and quiet with absolutely no frills. I was a bit disappointed that other than an electrical socket in the bathroom, I had to unplug the a/c and pull out the night stand to charge my phone and my camera battery.
