Fabulous staff, very helpful. We loved our room and the breakfast. Delicious! They have a shuttle to bring guests in and out of town or an easy walk. Room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Nestled at the base of a mesa in beautiful Durango, the Holiday Inn and Suites is truly ideally located. A short walk and an even shorter drive away is the downtown area with its boutique shops and fantastic restaurants frequented by locals. As that area can get a bit noisy though, it is also wonderful to be somewhat removed from Main Street‚??s hustle and bustle. My husband, two boys and I stayed here while visiting our son, a Ft. Lewis college student. The parking was plentiful and included i... Read more

This Holiday Inn does not offer free breakfast but it does have it's own restaurant attached. We arrived late so we did takeout from the restauranf and brought it to our room....delicious! We had breakfast at the restaurant in the morning which was also delicious. They offer a breakfast buffet for $8.00 but we did not partake. Our room was a King Suite with a living room and separate bedroom with a privacy door. We did not need all this space but it was lovely. The only drawback was the bathroom... Read more

This was a great place to stay when we were in Durango to ride the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge train. The hotel is a short drive from the train depot. All of the staff that we came in contact with were very pleasant and friendly. The lobby was nicely decorated and spotless. Our guest room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Since this is a Holiday Inn and not an Express, breakfast was not included in the price of the stay, but there is an onsite restaurant. Prices wer... Read more

We have always stayed at Holiday Inn Express when we travel because they have consistently clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff...Durango was no exception to that rule for us. This trip we were traveling with our 9# fur baby and I was afraid we would be given a small out of the way room. Quite the contrary...we were given a very large room with a fireplace and kingsize bed. The room was beyond my expectations. The personnel were so very friendly and offered several restaurant suggestions ... Read more

was surprised to have a balcony though the downside was right outside the grill so the fan was a bit noisy - had to shut the door in evening Was hoping to hear the stream that ran in front of hotel but couldn't. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Bathroom also nice and clean and spacious. Wish breakfast was served but that is ok. We had pastries on the train. Nice short walk from hotel.

Stayed for a couple of nights in a King Suite, which was perfect for me and my family. Nice rooms, updated decor, comfortable beds. Didn't hear anything outside of our room, no doors slamming or people above or below us. Suite had a door separating the bedroom from the living area, which was great for putting our little one down and allowing my wife and I to relax, watch TV and not have to tiptoe around as much. Staff was excellent in my few interactions. Will definitely stay here again if ever ... Read more

Loved the location of this hotel - it wasn't on the main "strip" and had less traffic. Yet it was close enough to downtown / walking distance. Grocery store is like 2 blocks away. We reserved a two queen room. Upon arrival, we checked in and headed up to our room on the 4th floor. I was a little surprised when I noticed the door to the room had a "privacy" hanger on it. So I removed it, and inserted the key. It didn't work. Tried the other one. Didn't work. I began to get worried that there wa... Read more

We were in Durango on the Iron Horse Bicycle Race weekend. Durango was packed. And, the room rate was VERY high. However, the HI exceeded our expectations for cleanliness and comfort. Breakfast was so so. But, the service was good. We had a room on the backside of the hotel. The view was close to a cut hillside...as in no view. But, it was quiet. The room was comfortable, clear and the AC worked well and quietly. Clean and well stocked backroom.

The view from the odd numbered rooms reminds me of opening a door to and having a brick wall looking you in the face. Real estate must have been cheap. There was no coffee at the coffee bar the 2nd morning of our stay at 7a.m..... The T.P. was not restocked..... On the plus side the hot tub was actually hot and the swimming pool was very comfortable...... The amenities store lacks products. Cookies would be a nice add.

We have stayed here two times now over the last nine months while visiting Durango for fun and business. The staff is the highest quality. I didn't take the time last we came to leave a review but I should have because that visit was just as amazing as this visit. Stayed 3 nights to explore what Durango had to offer. One of the better Holiday Inn properties we have stayed over the years. Newer property, very clean, and friendly staff. About a 15 minute walk to old down town Durango. Built up against a rock hill limits views but it was quiet. Front of hotel faces the 160 highway. Breakfast and wifi were free. The grill had a limited menu and was just OK. Rates were a little high but we like the predictability of most Holiday Inn's. Room sizes is better... Read more

One night stay. Very nice, new room with better than average amenities. Big plus was the shuttle to downtown. Can be walked but too far for gimpy seniors. The free shuttle ran every 15 minutes and picked us up when called, a BIG plus. There is a restaurant and bar on the premise but we didn't go there.

We stayed here with a group of car club people, and I understand the problems with checking people in, but really this was unacceptable and there was no apology. We were given a room, let ourselves in and it was occupied. Fortunately, the occupant wasn't in the room at the time or it could have been serious (imagine a person in the shower or a couple enjoying an afternoon tryst). We were given keys to a second room, but it was right next to the vending area, and we are light sleepers. Finally we... Read more

Stayed just one night. It was updated and clean. They let us check in super early before 1pm. When we got to the room the key didn't work but a nice housekeeper in the hallway kindly let us in and offered to go all the way down stairs and have them fixed. Only con is no free breakfast for a room that is $200+ per night. However, in the restaurant attached kids eat free with a paying adult.

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in July and chose it because it was within walking distance of downtown. It was a relatively new hotel and our room was very large and comfortable. It would have been nice to have breakfast included but I guess that's only the case with Holiday Inn Express. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel but for the price, next time I'll look for a B&B or a place with more character.

We needed a hotel in Durango for a one night respite during a road trip though Colorado. We are happy we chose the Holiday Inn and Suites as it was quite nice. We experienced excellent friendly service from check-in to check-out. Our two-room suite on the 4th (top) floor was spacious and spotless. We stayed two nights here at the Holiday Inn. Our room was on the 4th floor and it had a balcony. I sat outside and watched the people walking, biking and driving and there is large hill across the highway that was nice to look at. A very nice and clean hotel in a great location to Durango. Rooms are spacious and functional for whatever your needs either business or vacation. Keep your confirmation with your rate close by when you check is as they tried charging us an additional $43 per night per room and we had five rooms for 2 nights each, that's a difference of $430 without tax.
