My husband and I stayed at the Westin downtown last week. Had a terrific stay. Great location! We walked through the city, walked through 16th Street Mall, sat in the park outside the hotel. Came in for drinks in the lobby. Loved our room and loved the location. Would highly recommend it!

First time in Denver and was looking for a Starwood property for points and the rates here were very reasonable. Plus I have had positive experiences at Westins before. I had an odd experience with my reservation on the Starwood site as the rate changed midway through my booking. I called the hotel directly and they were not able to get the exact rate I had originally but were close and gave me some meal coupons to compensate. We arrived in the morning and they had a room available so allow... Read more

Spent one night at this Westin when in town for a conference. The room was very comfortably spacious and well appointed. The shower had one of those "rain" heads which was interesting. The fitness center was one of the best. Adequate space and nice equipment, and included a half court gymnasium for playing basketball. I was awakened at 3:30 a.m. with a grinding noise. Tried to ignore it, but it went away when the furnace shut off. Probably a bearing going out on the fan motor. When I ... Read more

I live 30 minutes from downtown Denver, but we like to come into town occasionally for a long weekend to see shows, go to movies, eat at great restaurants, etc. The Westin is our "go to" hotel because of the Starwood points and upgrade we get each time, and because of its location. Essentially on the 16th St. Mall, it is within an easy walk to everything - restaurants, movie theaters, live show venues, the Denver Art Museum, Coors Field, the Pepsi Center, Elitch Gardens, the Colorado Capital and... The Westin is your standard downtown hotel. Awkward rear entrance and lower lobby with coffee shop that is often closed, and sketchy characters outside. Toms are standard Westin fare but location in heart of downtown is convenient. Service is fine and always ask staff to get your cab as drivers tend to attempt to overcharge.

Although my stay was short lived (only two nights) I had a great time. We were lucky enough to get a room with HUGE windows and a lot of natural light. AMAZINGLY comfortable king bed and very large bathroom. Very spacious room, coming from New York I am always happy with the size of rooms in other cities in comparison to NY hotels. The hotel had a full gym (you can rent full workout gear by New Balance for your entire stay for just $5!) a good looking lobby bar and a breakfast bar that serve... Read more

Very Impressed by the courteous and obliging staff at this hotel. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Free computer and printer access helped to get boarding passes sorted and a clean, comfortable room with fine facilities made for a very relaxing stay. Pleased to recommend this one to fellow travellers.

For all you runners out there, I was psyched to see that this hotel offers Tuesday/ Thursday morning group runs for guests. John, the General Manager, is a runner, and invites guests to join him on these morning runs. I joined him one morning, he ran at my pace, and gave me a great guided tour of downtown Denver. Definitely a huge highlight of my 3 night stay at the hotel while in Denver for a conference. Thanks, John!

This is a good hotel if you want to be in the midst of everything downtown Denver. However, the description of the 16th street mall is nothing you would have thought it was. If you have been in South Beach Florida that has a mall on the street that is closed to traffic and is pretty with nice stores and galleries, this place is not that. If you go to the right of the hotel toward Lamimar St you will see a few shops and eateries. If you go to the left of the hotel the street is busy with your typ... Read more

This is the best property I've stayed at in Denver. The location is fantastic - just off 16th street - rooms are large and spacious, and the service is impeccable. I forgot a pair of socks for working out and the front desk supplied me a pair. At no charge! At 5am! The Westin Denver Downtown more than fulfilled the usual Westin promise of providing upscale lodgings with an enviable location and a reputation for personal service. The overrated 16th Street Mall is just around the corner, and Larimer Square, still the city's best destination for shopping and cuisine, is a mere five minutes away. They did not have our room ready when arrived but they made sure we were accommodated properly while we waited. They have a great outdoor pool area. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Super clean! Great location! Parking is a bit expensive, cheapest option is to use their valet which is $40 per day. Most of the times you can do an early check in. At a walking distance from a bunch of restaurants and cool places! You can see the 16th st mall from the window.

Quick trip to Denver last week and had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Deontown Denver. From check-in to check-out it was a first class stay. The front desk staff were excellent, especially Natalie Yu! She went well above and beyond expectations by immediately making me feel welcome to Denver. I asked for dinner recommendations at check-in and she named a couple of spots but by the time I got settled into my room and decided to go out she had researched more restaurants. I had one of the b... Read more

I am an SPG member and will likely swear off the Westin after my horrible experiences this summer, topped off by the stay in Denver. We had our room cleaned and towels changed only once during our entire stay, and that was after night one, and that was after housekeeping barged into the room, then apologizing, stating that our room was on the "vacant dirty list." We must have disappears from all lists because despite calling the front desk 3 times yesterday to request housekeeping, linens, to... Read more

Came into town for a quick overnight trip and it could not have been more amazing. Everything is top notch. the rooms were HUGE. Location! Location! Location! A short walk from everything. We did the Denver MicroBrew Tour and it was a block away. Went to the Rockies game and it was a short walk. UnionStation is just down the street. and getting the car parked for 40 bucks a night is a bargain. Will certainly go here again. Get the Mountain View.....Trust me.

This hotel is located in a great part of downtown. Walking distance to Union Station, Highlands, 16th St Mall, restaurants, attractions, etc! It's also in the part of the city where locals work and walk around, which gives you a more authentic feel for the city. We had a room on the 9th floor with a great bay window and a decent view of the city. The room itself was very spacious and relatively modern in terms of furniture and decor. The beds were heavenly - something I always look forward to... Read more

My husband and I stayed one night at the Westin Downtown Denver. We knew we were going to be early for check-in, therefore we contacted the hotel by phone on the way into town. We were told that our reservation qualified for early check-in, so we were hopeful that we would get a room. Upon arrival to the hotel we were told that there weren't any rooms available at the time, but that one would be ready shortly after it was inspected. We were told a room would be available well before 1:30pm and t... Read more

Hotel is located in the middle of the downtown area, close to the free Mall bus and all the restaurants and bars. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, big, and comfortable. Nice selection of coffee and tea in room and the sound proof was nicely done. I will definitely come back to stay when I visit Denver next time.

After a busy check in, we settled into our king size bed room at the patio level. Comfortable and clean, but the highlight for the Westin is its location on 16th Street Mall, with lots of good restaurants nearby and the free bus along the Mall to get anywhere downtown quickly.

My second stay at this hotel - 8th floor room at the end of the hall - very quiet! The bathroom lighting is one of the best I have seen - bright and clear. The price was right for my 2 night stay and the location works well for me - a short 4 block walk and the new train zips you to be airport. The workout area is clean and all the machines I used were in working order. Comfortable bed and chairs. I will plan to stay there on my next trip.

STARWOOD: GOLD MARRIOTT: GOLD HILTON: SILVER MELIA: SILVER Denver is one of those cities I truly love, and gradually I am trying to explore it more and more. This trip I would have 2 nights in the city as I reviewed Virgin America's new nonstop service from San Francisco to Denver, which they do Three times daily. I arrived at the airport and the light rail to Downtown had just launched a month or so before. After exiting the airport just take the worlds longest escalators downward to the trai... Read more

The rooms and common spaces are clean and beautiful. I was most impressed with the staff. At check in, Eli got us quickly checked in and he and another gentleman made great recommendations for lunch. We had a couple other requests that Eli handled with care and efficiency. They were simply wonderful hosts and I hope to visit this hotel again. The coffee shop in the lower lobby has a limited Starbucks offering at reasonable prices, so that was very nice. The fourth floor sundeck was large and a f... Read more

I live in Denver and I was having a birthday and I really wanted a pool day party. This was the place to do it. We booked 2 nights and it was superb from all angles. Had drinks in the lounge bar and invited a few friends. Felt elegant and not too sterile the way some hotel bars can feel. Then enjoyed some downtown adventure which is perfect since it's located in the heart of downtown Denver. The next day we invited about 30 people over the course of the day to join us for food and fun at the poo... Read more

I spent two nights at the Westin Downtown Denver in mid September. The location was very convenient to everything for my visit. I took the RTD train from the DEN airport to Union Station ($9 one way) and then had a 4 block walk to the hotel. Their is a free bus going up and down 16th street in the "Mall area" which is adjacent to the hotel so I could have taken that from Union Station. I arrived early for my reservation and the front desk staff was very accommodating by checking me in early.... Read more

I am an SPG Gold member and have been such for many years. I find the Starwood program to be great for my business and family needs. The facilities generally support my needs, except the Westin Denver Downtown exercise facilities feel short of what one would expect for a quality hotel. Dumbbells were either missing or there was only one in the set (difficult doing curls with a 30lbs in one hand and 40lbs in the other). Does someone actually steals weights? The other equipment was either old... Read more

This is just another one of the wonderful Westin hotels that is in this chain. A couple of odd things, where check in is on the second floor. No big deal. On the first floor or I should say the lower lobby, there is a Starbucks. Very handy. The rooms are kind of small. But again, Typical nice Westin

Spent three nights at this Westin on business...I suspect in a 'chosen to be cruddy' room since I hotwired it, but I still held out hope for it to be nice. I knew I might be in for it when I arrived and the room was warm and the mini-fridge was rattling, could hear the elevator, etc. I called the minifridge in to the front desk, and no one from the staff appeared in the 90 minutes before I exhaustedly fell asleep despite the noise. While I was trying to fix the issue myself, looked underneath... Read more
