By now I think we've stayed here 7 or 8 times over the years. It's not only reasonably priced, but it's fun with groovy 70s themes as well as a great restaurant and bar. Since it's part of the Double Tree family, you do get a Chocolate Chip cookie at check-in. The staff is always superbly nice (everyone from the front desk to the laundry guy). The elevators are pretty quick, but on weekends there might be a bit of waiting. Everything in our corner room was very clean, and we got great views fr... Read more

The location was very close to many restaurants and bars. The Union Station was also just a few blocks away and was an easy way to take the train back to the airport (We would have taken the train to the hotel but we didn't know it was that close till we left). The hotel was very unique and we upgraded to a mountain view but sadly it was overcast and rainy each day we were there so the upgrade didn't help us (I am sure it is really nice though when it's sunny out). The best thing about Doubletree hotels are their beds - super soft. The property is dated yet the rooms and floors are fun with different themes and well-appointed. Staff are very responsive and helpful. The gym is small yet it still provides for a good workout (ellpiticals, treadmills, free weights, etc.). The location is within two blocks of the convention center and across the street from the theater. If you need any special arrangements, such as amenities or special room requests, ask for Ma... We stayed on the Science Fiction floor (8th) in an accessible room. It was directly in front of the elevator and around the corner from the ice machine, so noisy groups at the elevator could be heard quite well. Luckily for us, we didn't hear any late night groups. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The onsite restaurant was convenient and served a very good breakfast. (Excellent coffee!)

We have stayed in downtown Denver on several occasions and wanted to try a new hotel. The location is excellent just a couple blocks from the 16th Street mall. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view from our room was great. The staff were just so so and the television wasn't working.

Stayed in the Curtis for 6 nights during a business conference. The hotel price in the surrounding area are expensive and the Curtis is a relatively cheaper option which is close to the Convention Center, just several minutes of walk. Staff are friendly and helpful, from front desk, to restaurant and housekeeping. Room is big and breakfast is well made. However, the light in room is not bright enough. My stay in the Curtis is overall satisfactory.

Definitely the most fun place to stay in downtown Denver. We had a suite for the night on the TV floor while our friends were on the Dance floor and Scary Movie floor. Each floor and room were unique. Beyond a great concept, the staff was friendly and always happy! I can see why: working at such a fun hotel. Our favorite was Adam, the Front Office Manager. We appreciated all his help planning our evening away. Great work!

Great location. Excellent value. Comfortable rooms with retro styling. Easy and online check-in prior to arrival. Hilton allows you to choose room or accept a system assigned room. Friendly staff always willing to advise or help. Quirky with theme floors. A memorable experience because of the theme floors. Will definitely remember to stay happy!!!!

There was a group of 4 of us that booked this hotel for an extended weekend trip to explore Denver. At the same time there was a large convention going on. The staff were very friendly. I expected a lot more for the price we paid for our rooms. Rooms are small and mountain view is a joke. There are no balconies at this hotel. The location is the only redeeming thing about the place, as it was within walking distance of many things downtown. I would not stay here again.

My first perception was that, unlike most hotels, there was a 13th floor (the Scary Movie floor) and there was no conversation as to whether or not I would feel comfortable on that floor. I went to my room and promptly ordered a bottle of wine. It took 30 minutes to arrive, but was delivered with no wine opener. The staff said I should have one in my room, but it was not there. He had to go get a bottle opener from the bar which took another 15 minutes. At this time it was already about 11:00pm... Read more

We stayed here on our trip to Denver. This is a different hotel. Each floor has a different theme. The wake up calls were cheesy bad reenactments of famous celebs from the 50s - 80s. I was a little disappointed that I did not get the Donkey Kong room. Elevators were a little slow but you did get a warm cookie anytime you asked. The service was friendly and rooms were clean.

I stayed for one night. The decor is very pleasingly kitchy retro. Beds, pillows, linens consistent with reliable Hilton Doubletree standards. Front desk staff very courteous. The breakfast buffet was minimal. The attached restaurant/bar closed earlier than posted hours, so I could not get dinner -- that's the only reason I didn't rate the hotel 5 stars.

I have to say we have been nothing up pleased with this hotel. Each floor has a different theme decor and we happened to end up on the Fun and Games floor with PacMan walls in the halls. Rooms are spacious and full of amenities. Beds are extremely comfortable. Every employee has been friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed up to 75 lbs which is hard to find. The only downside is walking them two blocks to take care of business.

Four nights at the Curtis, and all were wonderful. The rooms are fresh and comfortable, and very stylish. There is a movie theme of some kind, which can get annoying. The location is great, and many city locations for food and drink are close by. I was worried that the convention center was a long walk, but it was close and easy to find. Only complaint would be the dirty carpet by the elevators on floor 9.

Victoria who checked us in was THE BEST- informative, helpful, quick to act and completely affable as well. Real concierge-y. If she worked for me, I'd raise her pay or promote. It's a themed-floor hotel, kooky, but not overbearingly so. Good restaurant built-in,and close to the convention center where we attended the PLA conference. I'd definitely stay there again, and kudos to Hilton for allowing design deviation.

Staying at the Curtis was a treat! If you love hip, modern, and quality service stay here! Eveything was great including the modern room, staff, restaurant and amenities. However the room was a tad on the dirtier side. This was small on the spectrum though. Stay here for a great time and you'll be walking now distance from the main drag, 16th street.

Stayed here on business and it was unusual. The elevator talks on every floor to reflect the crazy themed floors. This got annoying after about two trips and everybody on the elevator would comment on how irritating it was. The room was not warm and cozy but rather themed with Ghostbusters - tiled flooring, small closet, loud air conditioning and super dry (guess that's Denver). The location is convenient to downtown. The most prevalent thing about this hotel is the themed nature of the property itself and each floor. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the location of this hotel is great relative to the 16th Street Mall. Otherwise, we were not impressed with the quality of our room in terms of the view, the air conditioning or shower (bathtub with old fixture). Were even less impressed with the on-site restaurant, The Corner Office, so much so that we wouldn't even eat there if it was free (and breakfast was free for us as Diamond members). Carpeting was gross and the staff very unfriendly and sl... Read more

If you plan to attend a Concert at the Pepsi Center, which is about one mile down the road, recommend taking a Taxi and after the show, enjoy a two seated bike ride back from one the many Bike Taxis that are just waiting out side. Overall this hotel is ok. It was clean, has a restaurant & room service, the service is very friendly & you cannot beat this location If you're downtown. We stayed here for a wedding & were on the wedding block so the rate was good. The service was great & we loved the location. Like all double tree hotels, the cookies are nice too. My friend and I have been on a road trip for the last 8 days and we decided to treat ourselves to two rooms at the Curtis... First I wasn't impressed with the check in process. Only two check in agents and the lobby looks pretty cheap... The front desk agent was pleasant but when I asked about having a room with only one queen / king and not two queens as I am alone she didn't really offer me anything... Had she offered an upgrade I may have paid for it... I mean I have stayed in King rooms the ... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Curtis Hotel. We requested a high floor away from noise and a corner room. We stayed on the Sci-fi floor (8th) with views to the west and were very pleased. They rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room was cool and quiet. Proximity to our new favorite restaurant in Denver, Bistro Vendome, was great and parking was reasonably priced compared to other hotels I checked. Centrally located and easy to get to all the th... Let me preface by saying I would definitely stay there again, but only if I was in Denver for pleasure and partying. The hotel is very cute, with themes in their decor and an overall retro kitch theme reminiscent of the Ace Hotel in Portland. The apples on every floor were a nice touch, as was the signature Doubletree warm cookie and bottled water. These treats made me feel really welcome. The gym was absolutely perfect. We stayed here for one night. The hotel is nice but the rooms are small and it has a very small bathroom (one person at a time). We did have one issue with the air conditioning unit. The AC did not work. Maintenance came to our room around 10:30 pm and got it running but it did not stay on and reach our desired temperature. Eventually it just stopped running altogether. We were able to walk to many of our Denver destinations, and using the light rail/bus system also made transportation a breeze. This hotel was booked as a package put together through a travel agent for our USA trip. I checked out the hotel first on line and did not see a problem so confirmed the booking. The hotel advertised it's themed floors which sounded fun. In reality after checking in they were an irritation which lead nowhere and was a total waste. Normally, we've had great staff and experiences at downtown Denver hotels, but this staff want overly friendly. The valet was over packed and too hard to pull into, so we chose to self park. Well the hotel's parking garage ($36 a night) was also overpacked, poorly marked and really tight parking spots. The celiengs are also incredibly low and it smelled absolutely horrid in there. The room was okay, had a hard time sleeping with the down pillows.

Check for lower rates online before arrival. The front desk won't honor a lower rate, even when you can show it to them online. The app doesn't show all availability of all room types.
