The only reason they didn't get a 5 star and its nothing they can control, but a new train system is 500-1000 feet from the property and from 4:30AM till I left 7AM, every 5-10 mins you heard the train whistle and its long and loud. There's a major crossing right there. The service was great, from check-in to checkout, everyone was nice. The rooms and property are very clean and well taken care of. I didn't really use any other services, so can't mention that, but its about 30-40 mins from t... Read more

I understand there is nothing the hotel can do about the train whistle all day and even more all night and early morning, but they should not book the rooms on the same side of the train track. The earplugs do not help. It's midnight and the train has come by 4 times in the last 45 minutes! Hotel room and hallways are outdated. Lobby looks renovated but the rooms not fully renovated. I will never stay here again.

Not up to Doubletree standards, more like an old, tired Holiday Inn. The property has a worn, grubby feel. The fitness center is an afterthought. No cookie was offered. The food is standard Sysco, minimal nutrition, fattening garbage. The hotel is in an area that doesn't offer good restaurants.

This hotel has everything going for it. On arrival you receive a lovely warm cookie (which went down a treat) the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The bed was just awesome as were the pillows, the breakfast buffet is also good and the staff look after you well. To do a load of laundry cost $3 (wash and dry) for dyi. The Doubletree Stapleton offers an overall pleasant experience with nice rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. The location is a bit out of the way, across some railroad tracks and in a potentially confusing maze of streets. It is possible to walk to restaurants and stores, but it's not in the most pedestrian friendly area. However, the hotel offers shuttle service, including to/from the airport which is a big plus.

Clean, nice property. However, unable to conduct business because the WiFi was spotty and kept bumping me off. The location was in an industrial part of town. Trains all night directly across the street didn't help sleep. Staff was great.

Overall, this hotel was good. The rooms need a little renovation, but we saw signs to indicate this is supposed to happen in Nov 2016. Despite a little wear and tear, the room was clean and well-appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they held our luggage for us all day even though we were checked out, gave us an upgraded room since our room was not ready yet upon check in. Of course, we loved the cookie!

The family and I were traveling thru Denver and decided to stay at this hotel. Deciding to stay at a hotel chain that has in the past proven to be pretty consistently a safe bet be booked at this location. Location was convenient but not a great area it seemed. Lobby was nice with a nice bar and restaurant. But the room was terrible. Very out dated and smelled of smoke. This was not our first stay at this particular hotel. We have stayed a couple times at this Doubletree by Hilton. The only negative thing I can say is if you are a light sleeper beware. The commuter train runs all night long and is very loud inside the hotel rooms. Everything was great, from the room to the staff to the restaurant. We were there for a 50th wedding anniversary, the hotel made our trip very enjoyable. the hotel was excellent the staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The train whistle was a little annoying but they do provide head phones and as I had an inside room it was not noticeable. Hotel urgently needs the renovation and update that is shown as planned. We were given an upgrade to a Premium room, but, Internet coverage was very poor unless the Premium version is purchased. Hotel is near I-70 and a busy rail crossing at Quebec street. Light sleepers will find it difficult to get rest due to the constant traffic noise and periodic train horn. The lobby and conference areas are well maintained but the rooms are in need of remodeling , which, according to signage, is scheduled to begin in November, 2016.

While almost everything about this hotel was satisfactory (comfortable and clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice lobby, easy access), the train blaring its horn throughout the night overshadowed it all. The cycle starts with the ringing of the bells while the intersection's safety barrier arms come down. I'm still here and a little too exhausted to get into details, but I just would recommend you look at other area options. This staff is nice and has tried to remedy issues, but it's just not good. I would think that is why Room 222 exists as a hotel room and not a storage room. Let's start with the good bits: Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent free regular shuttle bus to and from the Airport. Good food (but be careful re breakfast price options). Clean and comfortable EXCEPT the rooms to the front of the hotel are not noise proofed from the nearby railroad and crossing so after the crossing bell you get the full blasts of passing trains ALL NIGHT LONG. This hotel is a great value - being near the brand-new Light Rail means that it is an easy traffic-free/parking-free trip to Denver's Union Station, and we took advantage. The hotel is in serious need of an upgrade, which I believe is scheduled for the fall of 2016. The biggest drawback is that it is along the RR tracks and trains run all night long and have to blow their whistle, since there is an intersection there. We stayed here as part of a tour but would never choose it again.

Stayed here for a business trip. I was relieved to see that remodeling will begin in November, because it's getting a little run down. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar has a nice selection of local brews on tap and has a decent food selection. There is a good breakfast buffet, but service is slow - it may taker a while to get seated. Its biggest plus is a free shuttle to and from the Denver airport. Lots of noise from the commuter rail.

Hosted a small convention at this site. A few glitches but staff handled. I received many compliments on both the facility and the staff. High marks all around. Train noise from Denver's new commuter rail was an issue--horns blowing at night. Supposed to end once break-in period is over. Food is excellent. Breakfast buffet is far above standard bake-your-own-waffle food-trough fare.
