My wife and I stayed here for one pleasant night. The hotel is a bit worn and is in need of some updating but this doesn't take away from the comfort we experienced. We were given a free room upgrade, the staff was friendly and all the amenities were in working order. The room was quite large and the bedding and furniture were of great quality. Also, the hotel is right off the highway for convenience and is surrounded by great restaurants. If you don't feel like going out then you can alway... Read more

I have been going to Colorado Springs once or twice a month for the past year for business. I have stayed at multiple hotels in the city and this is one of my favorites. I have stayed here the past 5 or 6 times now. Always friendly staff. Good breakfast. And it is walking distance to all the restaurants downtown, which is one of the main reasons I stay at this location. Yes the hotel is older and they are in the process of updating things but even being older the rooms have always been clean and... Read more

This is an older property, but it does the basics well. The rooms are comfortable, and they even had 2 chairs for the computer table, so both could sit comfortably. Plenty of comfy pillows! The breakfast is basic but quite tasty! Coffee is strong enough for most peoples' taste. Real sliding doors that open are nice for adding refreshing mountain air!! The room is dark enough for good sleeping!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a mini vacation and it was amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast was tasty and the rooms were very clean. I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing that the staff had taken care of everything.

I stay here almost every time I visit Colorado Springs. The staff is very friendly, very good breakfast and shuttles available to downtown and airports, DIA, and COS. Very handy to interstate 25 and downtown.

Old hotel in need of some updates but basically a good stay. Nice location with easy access to everything and good price for what you get. Stayed in King Suite, roomy and quite comfortable with a nice view of the interior courtyard.

When we travel to Colorado Springs, we always stay at the Clarion. I love this hotel! The staff is friendly and the check in is fast and easy. The rooms are always clean and nice. The hotel also offers laundry services which is great when traveling. The washers and dryers are clean and nice. If you are traveling to Colorado Springs, I would highly recommend this hotel. The area of the hotel is close to downtown and the shuttle takes us and picks us up. Great hotel and staff!!!

Stayed one night with my family. First time to Colorado Springs. It is directly located off the highway which was nice. Neighborhood though is so-so. My husband went to check on the car several times because of this. No joke, I slept with pepper spray in reach. When we checked in, we got into our room and found it was still dirty. Linens strewn about, mattresses were bare and SO nasty! I would have called the desk from this room to tell them the problem, but the phone was missing all of its butt... Read more

Enjoyed Colorado Springs, shuttle to take you to different restaurants and/or other visitor sites; very clean & nice smelling rooms; employees are happy, appear to enjoy working at this location; fast check in process; excellent breakfast! Am definitely going to return back to this hotel in the future.

We made a last-minute res at the Clarion, and had to book a king suite. We were delightfully surprised with our room. Everything was perfect except that we didn't have a clock. Turns out the hotel was completely booked and they just didn't have an extra one. Go figure. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. I only gave a 4-star on service because of the missing clock.

Hotel has so many problems with staff and just operating with basic needs. On the weekdays that we stayed, they were black topping the parking lot and there was a clear lack of understanding of what to do when parking space ran out. They ran out of towels at night after cleaning staff left. Fire alarm battery went dead in our hallway and started beeping overnight which was really annoying. Sheets were dirty on the bed. Thermostat was off on air conditioner and room wouldn't cool effectively... Read more

If you're looking for a place to sleep, this is adequate, assuming that there isn't a high-school choir staying in the room across the hall having a 'kegger.' The room was clean and comfortable and although everything looks to have been installed recently, it is styled from the 80's. The staff was phenomenal in my couple encounters, I arrived earlier than planned and they adjusted for my early arrival.

The hotel appearance from the outside was pleasant however, old and dingy looking on the inside. Access to the rooms were inconvenient, the hotel first floor is a "garden level" style, (situated between a basement floor and ground floor) and I struggled with the stairs due to health, the elevators are very small, and there are closed doors in the all hallways. The hallway carpet appears old and dirty and had a mildew smell. The room is dated and cleanness was ok but not the best, and there was ... Read more

This hotel is in a great location. It's attached to the Quality Inn also. The beds were horrible, like sink into the middle, horrible. Even though it is non smoking, the first room I looked at smelled like stale smoke. Later that evening it was evident someone was smoking pot on the first floor. It is definitely a lower scale hotel. On the positive side, though, it had a big breakfast but again, being attached to the Quality, it was really busy and hard to find a spot to sit at.

As a government employee I travel a lot under government orders. The government travel site now gives me several options to pick from a variety of lodging facilities. This hotel was selected due to its proximity to were I was working. I went to check in and provided my Common Access Card (my government provided picture ID), my paper travel orders and my government travel card. The individual at the front desk said he also needed my drivers license. I asked him why, and was told that it was ... Read more

Shaded parking at the back of the Hotel, with a nice residential street to one side of the property. Simple tasty breakfast provided in the lobby area. Decent pool and hot tub area. Room was comfortable with a clean modern bathroom. Beds were comfortable.

The excellent of the front desk staff was the only saving grace for this awful hotel experience. The hotel is older and run down, but there were broken fixtures everywhere and it wasn't really clean except in the food service area and the front lobby. Our room had the security latch broken almost off after what looked to have been someone kicking in the door, a shower curtain rod about to come down and keeping the shower curtain from closing, a loud dying sounding AC unit, and a phone that did... The place was Clean, The rooms were close to parking, The hotel is located near down town, with lots of places to eat and shop. Its also near most of the attractions Like like Pikes Peak and the walk of the gods. The free breakfast was better than most w/hot waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and ham. The one small complaint I have is that the halls smelled like pot, even the room I was in smelled a little like. the Wi-Fi worked but it was slow. Other than that I would stay there again

First the pros: the hotel staff was awesome, very courteous, helpful, prompt, helpful. The hot breakfast was pretty good, and it seemed popular. Cons: the building was in poor shape. The stairs in the hallway to the bedrooms were not square and it was a tripping hazard, in my opinion. The bedroom carpet was dingy and gross to walk on barefoot. I'm not usually sensitive about where I walk barefoot, but this carpet was honestly filthy. The beds were uncomfortable to sleep on. My husband also was ... Read more

We stayed at the Clarion for vacation to visit with our grandson. Very disappointed in the condition of the hotel. Most areas were very dirty, carpet, tile floors which were also in need of replacement. Fortunately we just slept there however our room was poorly cleaned. The sheets were never changed. Towels were scarce. The pool water was not kept clean and hot tub was not useable...I didn't expect the Ritz however atleast a place that is clean. We will not stay there again...

The room was nice with a fridge and microwave. The indoor pool was fantastic! Much warmer water than most places. The breakfast was much better than most hotels including enough choices that the whole family could find what they wanted. Very friendly staff. When you travel with young children it is wonderful when you go into the lobby to check in and get such a friendly staff to make the process easy. Good location, near many attractions. Once upon a time this might have been a 3 or 4 star property. However, it appears to really suffer from the declining neighborhood it is located in. The best way to describe this hotel is "Dingy". It would really benefit from a fresh coat of paint, new carpeting and plumbing fixtures. The sink in the room part is 80's utilitarian, the sink in the bathroom is very modern. The toilet is antiquated and the seat has seen better days. While the bed is comfortable, it really isn't a Clarion leve... Read more

The room was average if not dated. It was clean and the a/c worked very well which is important to me. The area is very questionable due to transients and panhandlers. Hotel was only one of a few available for the Labor Day weekend and or stay was pleasant.

This was an excellent choice for us. Not knowing new areas, we always stay in Choice Privilege hotels. We know we will get courteous staff, a claim room, all little amenities that we could need, and an awesome breakfast included- all that we found at this location. This was very close to everything in town and in the surrounding area, and was convenient to get to. ( We found there were many tiny motels in the area that we were glad we didn't choose!). The staff at the Clarion are very nice people and do a good job but the hotel is run down and in need of many repairs. We have stayed here before because we were with a group and the sour musty smell was gone and a fresh coat of paint but the building is still run down. Our A/C unit had a horrible squeal in it that made it so we could not sleep. The hotel was full and no chance to change rooms but the solution was to shake and kick the A/C unit to try and get it to stop. The maintenance man ... Read more
