This was one of the original Fairfield Inns and is being renovated to match the current Inns. LOTS of construction going on, lots of paint and plaster dust...BUT...we never heard disruptive sounds or saw telltale signs of (what we all know is all pervasive) plaster dust! The staff here is working SO hard to keep life normal for their guests and doing a wonderful job! As Kathy, the head of housekeeping told us: "We are a Marriott property and we will maintain their standards". Kudos to the m... Read more

We spent the night and the room was very good, clean comfortable and it had been recently updated. The temperature of the room was great. Only complaint and it really not a complaint is the area for the breakfast was being remodeled and we were diverted to several guest rooms with tables and food. It was just a little inconvenient. The night desk clerk was great as we came in late at night. Other than parking being a little tight it was great.

The layout of the room was very convenient. The bed was awesome. I tend to have a hard time sleeping in a hotel and I got a good 8 hours/night. Also, I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. It is also located close to Garden of the Gods, etc.

This is an older building (have stayed in several newer ones). This review is already out of date since they are redoing parts of the interior. Fourth floor, facing south toward freeway and major street. The window can be fully opened for fresh air, but the traffic is loud during the afternoon and early evening. The windows are designed to mitigate a lot of the noise but it is still obtrusive. Ice chest on the third floor (first under reconstruction), no microwave in the room (did have a re... Read more

Had to stay here one night, and I am a local who lives 5 miles from this hotel. The 5 star Broadmoor Hotel charged 50 bucks more that night ...and I should have went there!! Clerk was totally uninterested in helping me get best rate - didn't ask if was a Rewards member, charged me more than the online rate that night (I found out later), gave me 2 double beds (so not comfortable) when I found out online they had several king beds available; gave me worst possible room on first floor near lobby.... There is considerable remodeling ongoing at this facility. Had I know this before arriving, I would have made a reservation elsewhere. The staff was VERY kind. But the normal dining area and bar area was closed for the remodeling. The rooms were adequate and comfortable, but floor space in the hallways is hollow, i.e., you can hear people walking up and down the hallway, and the noise in the hallway at night is a distraction. I will say this, however, the management has done a very good job... Read more

If a hotel is under construction and the parking lot is being repaired, the rate should likely be reflective of this ongoing work. We stayed 4 of 5 nights in Marriott properties. This was the most expensive, yet the least pleasing of all 5 hotel nights on our vacation through CO and NM. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was alright. We did have a decent night's sleep. It was easy to find. May be a lot better in a short time when all construction is finished.

I stayed a t the hotel for 5 days. The hotel is undergoing renovations and most of the major work in the lobby area is complete and looks great. The check in staff were very attentive and helpful. They went out of there way to ask if we needed anything. The complimentary breakfast was typical of hotels in this price range.I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet the hotel was considering the renovations. Our room was nice and we were very satisfied with the entire stay. The location is ... Read more

I really enjoyed my experience at this property and I stayed on points. It seemed very new as the roads back to it were not quite finished through streets at some points. The lobby was very nice and the staff was a pleasure to deal with. Breakfast was fantastic and the room was flawless. No complaints whatsoever. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great other than the lady tending the breakfast area. All three coffee pots where empty and she was grumpy. We really liked the lady at the front desk during checkout ??? she was friendly and eager to offer suggestions on activities.

Flew in to Denver then drove to Colorado Springs and felt refreshed having a pleasant room and home base for exploring the area. Our suitcase wheel broke and needed to shop for a new one. Costco and Marshall's were within 10 minutes and we were able to shop for a bit of food and a new suitcase. Also close enough to Manitou Springs and easy access to the highway.

The hotel was fine -- room clean and comfortable, though we had requested feather-free pillows in advance (relatively serious feather allergies) and at least one pillow on the bed had a tag indicating it was down. Housekeeping replaced it on request. Breakfast was fine. Hotel provided rooms near one another on request.

Stayed one night with marriott points while in the arra north of town, near the air force academy. Location is good, off I-25, walking distance of restaurants. Hotel was undergoing interior and exterior construction, but my room was a very nice suite and was very quiet. Comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom, and good free breakfast. Would stay here again when in the area.

We had three rooms for 13 family members. Tamara at the front desk was very helpful and checked us in early as we arrived about 1PM. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. This hotel is north of Colorado Springs just off I-25 with easy to get to all the attractions near Manitou Springs. Construction was not a problem as pool was open and no noise issues. Restaurants in parking area are Titled Kilt, Old Chicago and Outback. Carls Jr. is nearby. Gas station is across street for convenience.... Read more

Ignore bad reviews. The entire hotel has been remodeled top to bottom, inside and out. Our visit was August 8-10, 2016 and the only remaining refurbishing was the laundry area and the little "market" to the side of check-in.The staff couldn't have been more friendly. We were surprised that there was no shower cap to accompany the Paul Mitchell bath products and when we inquired at the desk the clerk said they didn't supply them but when we checked out the gal at the desk made note of it. This facility has recently been remodeled. We found our room to be nice, and the bed comfortable. The far side of the room contained a nice couch and desk, and was separated from the bed by a partial wall. There were two TVs, one at the foot of the bed, and one across from the couch. The breakfast room was pleasant, with full offerings and generous serving hours. We found the staff to be friendly and eager to help.

Great location, great experience all together. Freshly remodeled with comfy beds, very clean and nice bathroom. Close to several restaurants and right next to a gas station. Would definitely go back when in the area. All the hotel staff was great! Very friendly and willing to help or do whatever we needed.

We booked the hotel for five people when the room description specifically states that you can have an extra bed upon request. I called the day before to make sure that will be an extra bed. When we got to the hotel it became clear that there is no extra bed because all of them are occupied. After a brief argument with the receptionist we asked to speak with the manager. The manager said that the extra bed may be requested but they are not promising - very unsatisfactory answer considering the ... Read more

Obviously updated recently. Staff was excellent. TJ helped us find the place with excellent directions as well as directions to Royal Gorge. It is not as nice as the more recently built Marriotts that we have stayed at but that is out of their control. One thing that they have going for them is location. Literally minutes from Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and easy access via I 25 to wearever you want to go. Old Chicago Restaurant, Outback and Tilted Kilt are a three mi... My daughter & her bf were visiting that area, I called and booked them a room. I spoke with the night audit (sorry, I forget his name) on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 4. They would be arriving later that day. He was VERY helpful in answering all my questions, his recommendations, places to eat, proximity to places they would be visiting. My daughter was very familiar with Fairfields & Springhill Suites both by Marriott, she worked for them here in Ohio. She was pleasantly surprised that this FF ... Read more
