We booked two nights here and left after one. We got there about 20 minutes after check-in began and the place was nearly empty. When we opened the door to our room, a really strong cigarette smoke smell wafted out. Of course, the smell was even more intense inside the room. We went to the front desk and explained the situation and that two of the three people in our party were allergic to cigarette smoke and asked if we could switch rooms. The man on duty was the owner's son (we found this ... Read more

This was a very nice hotel. We drove in at night and were skeptical of both the area and hotel, but have no fear! The parking lot is monitored by the staff and police and it is actually up against a golf course. The staff was nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The only iffy part was the shower head. The pressure was a little too strong. If you are wondering where Neuman and Kramer got their shower heads, look no further! (But it's better than the pressure being too low.) My significant... First of all, there is no security or any kind of supervision what so ever in, or outside the hotel. My family and I stayed here for a week during the holidays. We did not feel safe since there were some very trashy looking people (who looked like they were on drugs) staying at the hotel. The toilet was clearly not scrubbed, it was visually dirty (fecal matter). After a few flushes it looked much better, but when this is one of the first things you notice when you walk into your room it leaves a... Read more

First let me say as soon as I opened the door I heard this sweet voice saying Welcome to the Econo Lodge. She was so cheerful and had such a wonderful ???. She was warm and so kind and made me feel so welcome. This lady her name is Vicky and later I found out she was the manager. The rooms were huge the bed comfortable and the sheets and towels were as white as could be. I loved the high speed internet .. And I slept like a baby.. The hotel was nice and clean. And the breakfest was great much... Read more

The hotel was pretty quiet except for the couple people walking through the halls at night but I probably would not have heard them had I not been traveling with my dog. The staff was very nice and helpful. They gave me a lot of information and helped me set up a rewards program and correct my stay to say I had a dog. The room was as explained.

This is an inexpensive spot for the night but you pretty much get what you pay for. The bed was like sleeping on a gravel driveway. The towels were rough like drying off with sandpaper.. Our room had a missing lampshade. Those were the bad things. The shower was like standing under a Colorado waterfall during snow melt. Plenty of pressure and the water was hot. There is a pool and hot tub. The breakfast included hot pancakes and because it is a block off the main street it is pretty quiet.

My husband and I stayed at this Econo Lodge for one night on our way to Salida, Colorado, on Sunday, May 29, 2016. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk person was friendly and we had no problem checking in to the room we had reserved. The breakfast was the basic continental breakfast although we did enjoy the automatic pancake machine as we had never encountered one of these in the past. The gal working the breakfast area and front desk in the morning was very p... Read more

We had spent the day at Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and we were exhausted! Headed to the hotel to check in and nap and was surprised by how nice the pool and hot tub looked. We swam for a while and were the only ones there at the time. Had dinner at a nearby place called Daniel's Taco and finally got to relax in our room. The location of the hotel wasn't great, we were really unfamiliar to this area, though. The room was nice enough and I remember this hotel be... Read more

We stayed for 5 nights. The location was convenient. The hotel itself is older. The decor is dated. Old, stained sheets and towels and carpet that needs cleaning. The beds are uncomfortable and the ac is loud. However, the hotel was quiet and the front desk staff was exceptional. They treat customers as if they are in a 4 star establishment. One in particular was excellent, unfortunately I can't remember her name but is started with a D and she works early mornings. Breakfast was fine... Read more

I took my son, daughter-in-law and grandson to Colorado Springs for an overnight get away. The main reason we chose this hotel was because it had an indoor pool. We were so disappointed because the pool was too cold for anyone to swim in. There was a hot tub but because the pool was so cold all of the other guests were in the hot tub. At one time there were seven people crowded into the hot tub. My son and daughter-in-law did brave it and get into the pool for about thirty minutes before they we... Read more

The Hotel was clean and the rooms were also clean. The only problem I had was the shower. The water didn't have a good stream of water and the tube filled up as i was showering, didn't drain will. The staff was friendly and held a blanket I had forgotten. they held it for like 3 weeks until i could find someone to pick it up. the hotel is close to a Walmart and tons of other businesses/food/shopping/bars.

Booked this hotel to be close to the COS for a 6am flight. Good location except rather noisy since near interstate. Really large room w/king bed. Had refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave. Typical hotel room. Unfortunately not all of the lights in the room worked. Towels were rough and old. Since I left so early I could not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast. What I saw before I left at 5am was packaged muffins, cereal and pancake batter. No elevators so had to drag luggage u... Read more

This hotel was just what our family needed for our vacation to Colorado Springs this past summer. It had a free breakfast with cereals, pastries, juices, coffee, and waffles. It had a indoor pool and hot tub to let the kids get rid of some energy. The low nightly cost allowed us to do more things during the week and see more sites. It is by no means anything fancy, but it was clean and the staff was courteous. A drawback was right when we first arrived we are pretty sure we saw an exchange ... Read more
