Booked as an overflow property for conference at the broadmoor. Clean hotel with courteous staff. Shuttle was inconvenient and was a moving target. No ambience outside of property. Sits on major road and a shopping center. If looking for a clean place to stay close by to your destination it's fine but no frills.

We are currently staying at this hotel. Room was clean. It's not quiet at all and we didn't get a restful night sleep. We are right next to the highway and there was pigeons making noise all morning. I was disappointed that we couldn't even step on our balcony because there was pigeons and poop all over. Check out my photos. This is gross and management needs to do something about the cleanliness of the balconies. I wont return for this reason.

It started on a rocky note but, it came out above and beyond any expectations. The Banquet Manager, Wes Stull was a pleasure to work with. His team of Melissa Hite (supervisor) and Kevin Copan (bartender) went over and above all expectations during the 4 night reunion. It felt like family. Never did we have to direct them to pickup or clean an area. It was done before you could think about it. Tragedy happened. One of our Brothers past away, from natural causes, just after breakfast. Were on the first floor near the gym. Quiet room, spacious. Nice breakfast on Sat AM, whole different experience Sun AM. The crispy bacon, potatoes of Sat were soggy on Sunday. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for B&G on the Sunday buffet and then it was COLD. Didn't get our wedding guest pack so missed a couple of events. Stupid things like being out of the orange infused water in the lobby (twice). Room key crapped out, etc. Had they gotten the little things right it could have been a five.

I did not get a room on the HHonors floor. My hotel room was not ready and had dirty hand towels in it. I had a staff member walk in to our room while we were in it less than an hour after checking in and she wasn't there to clean as she didn't have a cleaning cart. There were no signs directing people to the pool so we had to go outside to get to the pool, later finding out that only certain elevators went to the pool level. We were moving and decided to stay here for 9 days. We had a great time with room service, my children loved the pool and staff was friendly. Kids are free downstairs for breakfast. The location of the hotel is in a perfect spot. We could walk to restaurants, the movies and Target. I even got my nails done across the street. The hotel was big enough for a family of four.

While I love bird watching, pigeons mating and building a nest on my balcony at 6:30am is not my idea of fun. They seem to have a problem with these guys as they are everywhere. The room was okay, the carpet in the entire place needs replaced and has a funny smell. The beds were comfy and the hotel is close to the highway so in a pinch I guess it would work if you wake up before the pigeons do. The food at the buffet was good and a highlight. I was checked into a room and told the next day I had to move out to a different section of the bld. Turns out Obama was staying there - which means they knew when I was checked in. They could have at least told me - do to a dignitary...you'll have to move tomorrow and I would have been prepared. In a haste to leave I left behind 3 slacks hanging in the closet only to be told they weren't found.

We were very disappointed with this experience. It's not that the hotel was horrible, but at this price point it was so not worth it and fell far below our expectations. Basic cleanliness and working A/C are just not enough when you're paying more than the cost of the other hotels in the area. This hotel was supposed to be a nicer facility, but it actually falls short on so many issues. 1) If you have an allergy or sensitivity to fragrances (or just don't like being overwhelmed with a heavy,... The hotel is very dated and needs a remodel badly. The location isn't great either. There are only a few mediocre restaurants in close proximity, and its location next to the highway makes some of the rooms rather noisy. There are definitely better options, including Hilton options, in the Springs!

The Double Tree by Hikton is average at best. Located within walking districts to several shops and restaurants. Hotel is dated and needs renovated. Pool is inside. Gym was nice. Rooms were small but had a refrigerator. Breakfast buffet was subpar. Best thing about hotel was the staff. The were friendly and very helpful.

Hotel has been there for a while but has been nicely updated. Big plus was sliding class door to balcony to allow in the fresh air. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are bigger then newer hotels. Room was very quiet with slider closed despite road not being far away. Pool was cloudy. They installed new locks on doors during my visit. Cannot call out on 800 numbers from room phone despite 3 calls to front desk. Otherwise very comfortable stay.

This property, like a lot of Doubletrees is a little dated but hey are upgrading. It was clean an comfortable and the staff friendly. They do have restaurant and little bar area. It was designed for conventions and meetings obviously and they cater to that business. It is pretty convenient to everything and there are many restaurants and activities close by.

I had high hopes and was disappointed. The buffet breakfast left us wanting more. The pool was cloudy and closed for a period of time and is tricky to find with only one elevator accessing the area. I will say getting the foam pillows was nice - I am not a fan of flat feather pillows.

overpriced hotel for a hotel in need of serious upgrades. Beds are worn, minter net connection is slow to say the least. The back rooms which "overlook the lake" have a view of a pond and the interstate and you can hear the cars on the interstate all night. AC in room is poor. Stopped one night on way to Boulder. We had read the property was dated but being Hilton Honors members, we typically choose Hilton or IHG properties. We booked a suite and it was HUGE and yes, in need of major updating but for the price, worth it. Plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance also. The food in the lobby restaurant was very good and fairly priced. My room was very good. Every one was kind but the one who stood out was Rio at breakfast she had the warmest welcome and was so accommodating during breakfast I watched her interact with other guests and her customer service is just amazing ! As a gold member I was not even put on the HHonors floor I don't expect to be treated differently on an employee rate but knowing that the hotel wasn't sold out it was a lit... Read more

I've stayed here quite a few times for work (nearly ten different trips this year). Sometimes my experiences are really easy and I have no complaints, other times I notice quite a few things I wish were different. Pro: The front desk staff is always great. Con: I've had a number of problems with super loud guests (teenagers running through the halls, what sounds like a circus in the room above me). They host a lot of conventions and the walls are not very sound, so when the hotel is busy it ma... Read more

The hotel rooms ate also clean, and the hotel is in a good location if you want to visit Garden of the gods or Pikes Peak. Now, the not so good. The hotel seems to need a major renovation. The doors and the locks on your door, are a dead give away that this place is really old!!! It shows its age by how poorly it was designed. The place is like a labryth.... Read more

This hotel was nods renovations. It seems they are working on it but it would have been nice to have known about it. The rooms need new carpet, bathrooms, curtains and a fresh new look. I was very disappointed when I walked in. I felt like it was just ok. When you are traveling you expect to walk into a fresh, bright room for the prices that are being charged. I would really have to think about staying here again. The breakfast was very good.

This is a sprawling hotel and conference center, decent rooms, but a frustrating place to live in due to its layout, which may be one of the worst I've ever seen. We had an upgraded, large room on the "back side" of the hotel. Walking from the room to the lobby/restaurant took "forever", with a choice of walking around two long wings from room to lobby or cutting across the multi-level open-air courtyard. The "short cut" across the open-air court-yard from the room was not very useful due to co... Read more

The decor in the room is dated and the furnishings have seen better days, but still acceptable. The exterior could also be more inviting. Landscape is very spartan.
