Booked as an overflow property for conference at the broadmoor. Clean hotel with courteous staff. Shuttle was inconvenient and was a moving target. No ambience outside of property. Sits on major road and a shopping center. If looking for a clean place to stay close by to your destination it's fine but no frills.

We are currently staying at this hotel. Room was clean. It's not quiet at all and we didn't get a restful night sleep. We are right next to the highway and there was pigeons making noise all morning. I was disappointed that we couldn't even step on our balcony because there was pigeons and poop all over. Check out my photos. This is gross and management needs to do something about the cleanliness of the balconies. I wont return for this reason.

It started on a rocky note but, it came out above and beyond any expectations. The Banquet Manager, Wes Stull was a pleasure to work with. His team of Melissa Hite (supervisor) and Kevin Copan (bartender) went over and above all expectations during the 4 night reunion. It felt like family. Never did we have to direct them to pickup or clean an area. It was done before you could think about it. Tragedy happened. One of our Brothers past away, from natural causes, just after breakfast. A good solid doubletree, good location easy off and on the interstate. The room was very clean and the property well maintained. A good place in Colorado Springs. We stayed in one of the suites and had found it very comfortable I can recommend this hotel

Were on the first floor near the gym. Quiet room, spacious. Nice breakfast on Sat AM, whole different experience Sun AM. The crispy bacon, potatoes of Sat were soggy on Sunday. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for B&G on the Sunday buffet and then it was COLD. Didn't get our wedding guest pack so missed a couple of events. Stupid things like being out of the orange infused water in the lobby (twice). Room key crapped out, etc. Had they gotten the little things right it could have been a five.

I did not get a room on the HHonors floor. My hotel room was not ready and had dirty hand towels in it. I had a staff member walk in to our room while we were in it less than an hour after checking in and she wasn't there to clean as she didn't have a cleaning cart. There were no signs directing people to the pool so we had to go outside to get to the pool, later finding out that only certain elevators went to the pool level. ON the last day of our stay, we had another cleaning person come to ou... Read more

We were moving and decided to stay here for 9 days. We had a great time with room service, my children loved the pool and staff was friendly. Kids are free downstairs for breakfast. The location of the hotel is in a perfect spot. We could walk to restaurants, the movies and Target. I even got my nails done across the street. The hotel was big enough for a family of four.

While I love bird watching, pigeons mating and building a nest on my balcony at 6:30am is not my idea of fun. They seem to have a problem with these guys as they are everywhere. The room was okay, the carpet in the entire place needs replaced and has a funny smell. The beds were comfy and the hotel is close to the highway so in a pinch I guess it would work if you wake up before the pigeons do. The food at the buffet was good and a highlight. The pool was clean so thats another plus. Don't buy t... Read more

I was checked into a room and told the next day I had to move out to a different section of the bld. Turns out Obama was staying there - which means they knew when I was checked in. They could have at least told me - do to a dignitary...you'll have to move tomorrow and I would have been prepared. In a haste to leave I left behind 3 slacks hanging in the closet only to be told they weren't found.

I enjoyed my 1 week stay in this hotel. The room was spacious and well equipped with WiFi, big TV, desk. Nice detail is that an iron and a hair dryer are supplied as well. A separate back entrance made comfortable parking, close to my room, possible.

We were very disappointed with this experience. It's not that the hotel was horrible, but at this price point it was so not worth it and fell far below our expectations. Basic cleanliness and working A/C are just not enough when you're paying more than the cost of the other hotels in the area. This hotel was supposed to be a nicer facility, but it actually falls short on so many issues. 1) If you have an allergy or sensitivity to fragrances (or just don't like being overwhelmed with a heavy,... The hotel is very dated and needs a remodel badly. The location isn't great either. There are only a few mediocre restaurants in close proximity, and its location next to the highway makes some of the rooms rather noisy. There are definitely better options, including Hilton options, in the Springs!

The Double Tree by Hikton is average at best. Located within walking districts to several shops and restaurants. Hotel is dated and needs renovated. Pool is inside. Gym was nice. Rooms were small but had a refrigerator. Breakfast buffet was subpar. Best thing about hotel was the staff. The were friendly and very helpful.

Hotel has been there for a while but has been nicely updated. Big plus was sliding class door to balcony to allow in the fresh air. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are bigger then newer hotels. Room was very quiet with slider closed despite road not being far away. Pool was cloudy. They installed new locks on doors during my visit. Cannot call out on 800 numbers from room phone despite 3 calls to front desk. Otherwise very comfortable stay.

This property, like a lot of Doubletrees is a little dated but hey are upgrading. It was clean an comfortable and the staff friendly. They do have restaurant and little bar area. It was designed for conventions and meetings obviously and they cater to that business. It is pretty convenient to everything and there are many restaurants and activities close by.

Nice people, clean property in a featureless part of town. Manager's buffet with free drinks as well as cookies at registration are a good effort. Hotel has lost its luster. Nothing worthwhile within walking distance. Suspect there are better values in this part of Colorado Springs.

I had high hopes and was disappointed. The buffet breakfast left us wanting more. The pool was cloudy and closed for a period of time and is tricky to find with only one elevator accessing the area. I will say getting the foam pillows was nice - I am not a fan of flat feather pillows.

overpriced hotel for a hotel in need of serious upgrades. Beds are worn, minter net connection is slow to say the least. The back rooms which "overlook the lake" have a view of a pond and the interstate and you can hear the cars on the interstate all night. AC in room is poor. Had to be sweet to 60 degrees to get to a reasonable coolness. Would have been much better staying at other properties in the Colorado Springs area.

Stopped one night on way to Boulder. We had read the property was dated but being Hilton Honors members, we typically choose Hilton or IHG properties. We booked a suite and it was HUGE and yes, in need of major updating but for the price, worth it. Plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance also. We used the workout facility which was nice, but a little small for such a large property - still they had free-weights along with cardio equipment. Overall, we would stay here again when... We were there for a family wedding. The staff was great and didn't mind that we pulled up chairs and tables and lingered to talk and visit. Everyone was exceptionally nice. The food in the lobby restaurant was very good and fairly priced. My room was very good. No complaints but be aware that the lobby is on the 2nd floor; to get to the first floor where my room was from the lobby was a hike. Also, the lobby will be undergoing major renovations sometime this fall. But I'd stay here again.

Very pleased with this location, close to everything. Just down the road from the Broadmore where we normally stay. We had a small dog this time and stayed here rather than paying a $500 pet fee at the Broamore...only $50 here. In all honesty the rooms are much larger and more comfortable also. The hotel lobby and rooms are well maintained. However, our initial room smelled quite strongly of stale cigarette smoke. I thought maybe I had accidently selected a smoking room during the online check-in process so I called down to the front desk and was assured that it was an entirely non-smoking hotel. We were switched to another room quickly, but the smell left a somewhat dampened impression of my whole experience there.
