I stayed one night at this hotel. It is right along I-25. Management was remodeling the bathrooms on the main floor during my stay. Staff at the hotel were attentive and were helpful at check-in and when I asked a couple other questions about the area. I stayed on the backside of the hotel and noise from I-25 was fairly minimal. Breakfast in the morning was good and had lots of options. I would stay here again without hesitation if I travel through the Colorado Springs area again.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn North for six nights. Since I was a gold member we got upgraded to the rooms on the back side which had a great view of Pike's Peak and had a creek right behind the motel. Construction is in progress but the back rooms have been completed. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful. It is close to I-25 so the street side rooms might be a little noisy but not the back side rooms.

We left a nearby location to stay here. We stayed for 9 days. Pet friendly. They have a great breakfast. On the day of our departure,my spouse was in the hospital so I had to check out myself. I also had movers coming that day, so, I was a bit distracted. To make a long story short, I left a bag that had my husbands wallet, meds, and Rolex. Bottom line is the housekeeper found it and it is now back in our possession. Our thanks to Sarah, the housekeeper for getting me out of the doghouse. ... Read more

I like this place, I pretty much stay here when I am in Colorado Springs. The reviews about the staff are correct, they are helpful, attentive and personable. I am writing to say farewell to the 3-11pm front desk jockey, who's name is Joseph. His last day was yesterday, and I want to thank the owners for having the wisdom to keep this employee on staff. He literally helped me enough times (and well) to have caused me to stay there. He is a wonderful young man and I wish him well, and hope t... Read more

We stayed here for one night in a king room. I chose this hotel based on the reviews from this website. It's in a fairly convenient location. Upon arrival I had to wait on a desk clerk to arrive because the sign said they were assisting other guests. After that, check in wasn't too terrible. The hotel definitely has some age to it. It's poorly lit inside which would have made me uncomfortable if I were alone. The elevators have strange doors that look like a closet door that can be closed... Read more

Not updated, just lipstick on a pig. Several outlets in room didn't work, mold in shower and toilet was obnoxiously loud. Night shift out of uniform and unprofessional. Ice machine broken. Lobby was dirty.

The staff were friendly and helpful. It's an older place and we were not informed that the only ice machine 2 floors down was out of order. Staff had a hard time keeping up with breakfast rush. Ran out of OJ and waffle batter causing delays. Carpet in the room had some stains, but otherwise rooms were clean. I would give them another chance though.

This is one of the finest Comforts Inns I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect, way beyond my expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone or group for a nice place to stay. The staff are attentive and caring about the guests.

We've had some terrible, some medium, some good. This one is great. I thought being next to I-25 side would be noisy but not so. Good clean room. Everything worked incl the nite/ reading lamp. Very convenient to the Air Academy. Had selection of nite foods and ice cold water. Easy parking even with trailer. Cold AC and a desk w/office chair in room, fridge, microwave, tv, safe, dresser, coffee, marble sink, well done.

According to the ratings, the Academy Hotel should have been fantastic. We stayed 9 days. The hotel was just okay. The hotel was unappealing because of the cleanliness. While the breakfast had a lot to offer, there were constant flies all around. Second, general areas of the hotel were not very clean. For example, numerous room service trays where left in the hallways during the day. Third, after a long day out we would return to our room at 4:00pm and the room wouldn't be clean! Unacceptable! There are some places in this hotel where you can see the staff is really trying hard - for example the nice shower heads and the USB outlets in every room. Then there are other areas where you feel like corporate just isn't giving them the funding to do it right - like the cracked tub flooring, the torn shower curtains, the broken hot tub, and the filthy bottom of the swimming pool. A great example of the stay is the breakfast. The food was good and the room was really well kept, but unfortuna... Read more

The entire hotel smelled like Raid bug spray & urine! I could not leave fast enough. But the worst part was the high pressure time share salesman that I was connected to after I made the reservation! They continued to call me as I traveled. I am a big fan of Choice Hotels but whatever group owns this one really should be putting money back into this facility instead of trying to cash in on time share sales! It is in a beautiful location, but the building really needs attention. I ended up puttin... Read more

Hotel was in bad neighborhood, charged more than tripadvisor booked. then they charged daughter MC $271. for a $2.71 drink, they refunded it finally on 7/25. she started using her money and they took it back out of her account on 7/27. They still charged me to much and her $271.00 for 1 drink.

We got a room on the back side that had a view of Pike's Peak and a creek outside the hotel. The room was very clean. The pillow top bed was very comfortable. One of the ladies made banana nut cake with a peanut butter frosting. Never tasted anything like it. She was a very caring, generous lady. She is a definite keeper! Another of the staff let me have a couple of bananas because I missed breakfast. How thoughtful of her. One issue we had was the Direct TV had an unpredictable signal.... Read more

I spoke to several hotels in the area about a discounted rate for multiple rooms for our company to stay over the next several months, and had no interest at all from any...except Andrew here at Comfort Inn North. He gave us a more than fair discounted rate, and was very nice and helpful on the phone. I was a little leery at first b/c this was the only hotel willing to work with us, so...what was wrong? When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by a very clean, pleasant hotel facing the mountai... Read more

We booked this hotel after leaving the Double Tree which had been a nightmare at twice the price. This hotel is a little dated as you can tell by the exceptionally small pool and hot tub area. If you are going to relax at a pool or hot tub then don't. But the hotel was very accommodating. They refilled the coffee immediately upon request that night. They did book us through the front desk. They did give us Mountain view as requested. It was quite and the breakfast was good. We were unable ... Read more

Nice convenient location in the Springs. We were thankful that we got a mountain view, it was beautiful. Good breakfast that was average for choice hotel. Take advantage of running the back roads to get to Garden of the Gods, and highway 24. I would stay at this hotel again.
