GRILLED TO PERFECTION
Spencers is an on-site dining establishment, is a cushy, relaxing restaurant that offers you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu items offer flatbread pizza, pasta, and authentic angus beef steaks. It is an American style eatery that is sure to make you happy and satisfy your craving. Coppertop Cafe is off-site, and it is a cafeteria-style place to eat for the skier on the move. Edwin Carter Museum -n award-winning museum that sheds light on a pioneer lured west by the Pike`s Peak Gold Rush in 1858-9. He reached the Blue River Valley in 1860.
Peak 8 Fun Park - Just because the snow melts, it doesn`t mean the mountain closes. In summer the Peak 8 Fun Park opens with a laundry list of made-for-thrills activities, including a big-air trampoline, climbing wall, mountain-bike park and the resort`s most celebrated warm weather attraction, the SuperSlide. Here you slide down a luge-like course on a sled at exhilarating speeds.
Hearthstone -One of Breck`s favorites is set in a restored 1886 Victorian. This beautiful kitchen churns out special dishes such as house-smoked trout, Colorado green beans wrapped in lamb bacon (we didn`t even know that existed), baked Brie, and prosciutto wrapped scallops, and those are just the starters. Entrees include ginger scallops, blackberry-glazed, granola-crusted elk steak, and cedar plank salmon.The three-course tasting menu is a reasonable $25. Dine in the oh-so-burgundy dining room or on the three tiered patios out front if the weather cooperates. Reservations recommended.
Ember - Great jazz on the sound system, strange glowing floral-art around the room and creative fusion on the plate. Apptizers include masa pizza (with chili sauce, curtido, avocado and manchega), pulled Kobe beef, warm walnut Brie, and lobster manicotti. Mains include coconut-glazed char with spaghetti squash, and soft-shell crab in lentil crust served with almond cous cous and curried pineapple hollandaise.
Breckenridge to Vail Bike Path - Summit County`s tremendous system of paved bike paths connects Breckenridge to the system`s hub in Frisco 11 miles away via a smooth rolling trail that parallels the Blue River. From Frisco you can hump the gorgeous Ten-Mile Canyon Trail through auto-free road-bike heaven over Vail Pass to Vail Village and Lionshead.

Breckenridge is less than a two-hour drive (100 miles) from the Denver International Airport. Take I-70 West to Exit 204, then South on Route 9 to Breckenridge. Once in Breckenridge, turn right at the South Park Avenue stoplight. Turn left on to Village Road. Guest registration is on the left side of the street.

From Colorado Springs Airport

Breckenridge is about a two-hour drive (110 miles) from Colorado Springs Airport. Take Highway 24 West to Hartsel, then north on route 9 to Breckenridge. Another option is to take I-25 North to C-470 West, then take I-70 West to Exit 203, and go south on Route 9 to Breckenridge. Once in Breckenridge, turn left at the South Park Avenue stoplight. Turn left on to Village Road. Guest registration is on the left side of the street.

"A few complaints would be that the Coppertop Rest. and the Coppertop Bar, close too early! Game room very minimal also. Cleaning lady did clean the room completely each day. Conciere was often not there or not very helpful.

Love the location, love the hotel overall!"

"Overall, I think these resort is in a prime location. you can't beat ski in and out. Colorado suites are perfet too. We have stayed here multiple times .The rooms are clean however we found the room and hotel to be excessively hot this trip. I don't remember ever this being an issue. Daytime temp were 50s. We went with two other families and they had the same complaint. My husband could not breath do to the heat in the room. Our thermostat did not cool so we opened the doors in the evenings however this resulted in both of my children getting sick and not being able to ski the last two days. (alot of wasted money as we pre-bought lift tickets)"

"Overall a good value. The staff couldn't be any friendlier! A few details were missing though. The pass code for the free wifi and the fact that you need a room key to get your car into the garage. We both got a skin rash from the hot tub. hmmm. Next time I'm bringing my own test kit for the hot tub water... The location is great and the free shuttle is nice also. Too bad the hotels dont team up with the free shuttle as it be easier to jump on one that goes up the main road. I would stay there again."

"had a reservation for a 3 night stay, never had housekeeping service for the entire stay! called at 5:00 p.m. to ask why, they forgot, next day same no service either, very disappointing on second day, the fire alarm went off in our room around 5 p.m., took about 20 - 30 minutes to get shut off was not able to get a late check out for last day very our very short stay, very disappointing"

"This was my first trip to Breckenridge, Co. so we really didn't know what to expect. My family (3 kids) and 2 adults stayed at beaver run in a 2 bedroom condo in building 2 of the resort. By the way, the resort is huge, the pool was great and the kids loved the indoor/outdoor swimming, several hottubs, and a game room. The condo itself was a bit dated - furniture did have minor blemishes and our couch needed to be replaced. But the beds were comfortable and clean. We had a minor incident with the stair banister - we notified the staff and it was immediately fixed, Great customer service. The staff was very friendly - but really couldn't help with dining suggestions or equipment rental suggestions. They basically refered us to the hotel restaurant and the breck ski rentals (which were much more expensive) I would recommend Blue River Sports - super friendly and helpful, less expensive too.
Resort offer a shuttle which was awesome, we would call from town and It was less than 5 min. wait. Shuttle drivers are great with recommendations for food.
We had a great time, skiing was fantanstic, food VERY expensive - plan extra high for budget. We will definately go back,"

"Overall we had a fantastic time! When we first checked in there was a little confusion on what condo we had booked then they put us in the wrong condo but after my daughter found out that our keys did not work and were where in the wrong place they did correct it immediately. We did however had to move our personal items with out the help of the steward that we did tip very generously to deliver us to the wrong room in the first place. My daughters first day of ski school was a great experience! Her instructor was incredible! In conclusion we had a fantastic time and will return some day after exploring the other resorts in the area and make Colorado a tradition to visit in the future!!

"We recently stayed at Beaver Run for a ski trip. It is extremely convenient for ski-in/ski-out. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. We started in a one bedroom premium room that had a full kitchen. We had one issue during stay. Our room took on a strong fire place-like smoke smell for which the source couldn't be found. Maintenance looked at the issue and could not offer a solution. The manager on duty moved us to another room and, in doing so, upgraded us to a two bedroom two bath room. Great Job! The property is a bit dated, but it's still nice and will serve your needs. For skiers, I recommend staying in building 4. This building offers the easiest access to the slopes. Each room is assigned a ski storage locker in a downstairs locker room. I would return to this property and would recommend it to anyone going to Breck. The resort runs a free shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go, and pick you up for return. Nice stay overall."

"We had a great time at this Resort. Great location, great service and a very affordable ski in/ski out vacation. We took our 18 month old son and they provided a high chair and crib. We use the onsite baby sitting facility too, very well done. If you book babysitting in advance you get a discount. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil we needed. Room service came by every day and was very generous with towels and coffee. Some rooms were data but we didn't care. The kitchen worked, the bathroom was clean, the sheets were nice and the customer service was great.

Building Four was located in a good spot and we were on the ground floor which allowed us to store our skis on the balcony. My wife took the one day ski school and we skied together the next day. That could be a testament to the school or my wife's ability but for this online review lets give credit to my wife and her skill.

It is be a bit of a walk to the main building and there are stairs. Given the altitude you might get winded walking between building 4 and the garage so drop your heavy luggage off first. Building 4 is close to the pool but you will cross a covered bridge between the buildings. We didn't even bring a coat for dinner, drinks and walking to the parking lot since it was all warm and covered.

Everyone complains but we found very little to be critical of with exception to the price of food in the cafe. We found that a cheese burger and fries at Coppertop priced at $17 dollars was excessive. The service was great by the Jamaicans there. Spencer's Steak House is priced accordingly and fantastic.

We found that lift tickets were cheaper online so pre-order those if you can. You can rent skis in town for about $20 vs the $40ish at this hotel so you'll pay for the convenience.

We searched online and found the best rate at bookit.com. We watched it for days and comparied the prices but bookit.com always won by 10-30 dollars a night. We had to pay $10 a day for parking but other than that, there were no unexpected charges when we checked out. Local calls were free.

Overall, it was a great vacation at this hotel. We will return."
