  • Edwin Carter Museum -n award-winning museum that sheds light on a pioneer lured west by the Pike`s Peak Gold Rush in 1858-9. He reached the Blue River Valley in 1860.
  • Peak 8 Fun Park - Just because the snow melts, it doesn`t mean the mountain closes. In summer the Peak 8 Fun Park opens with a laundry list of made-for-thrills activities, including a big-air trampoline, climbing wall, mountain-bike park and the resort`s most celebrated warm weather attraction, the SuperSlide. Here you slide down a luge-like course on a sled at exhilarating speeds.
  • Hearthstone -One of Breck`s favorites is set in a restored 1886 Victorian. This beautiful kitchen churns out special dishes such as house-smoked trout, Colorado green beans wrapped in lamb bacon (we didn`t even know that existed), baked Brie, and prosciutto wrapped scallops, and those are just the starters. Entrees include ginger scallops, blackberry-glazed, granola-crusted elk steak, and cedar plank salmon. The three-course tasting menu is a reasonable $25. Dine in the oh-so-burgundy dining room or on the three tiered patios out front if the weather cooperates. Reservations recommended.
  • Ember - Great jazz on the sound system, strange glowing floral-art around the room and creative fusion on the plate. Apptizers include masa pizza (with chili sauce, curtido, avocado and manchega), pulled Kobe beef, warm walnut Brie, and lobster manicotti. Mains include coconut-glazed char with spaghetti squash, and soft-shell crab in lentil crust served with almond cous cous and curried pineapple hollandaise.

Located right at the base of peak 9 and located just up the hill from Main Street, the location of this hotel couldn't be better. Friendly staff (everyone says hi all of the time). It's enormous, which makes you feel like you're at a place that's "happening." At the same time, it's quiet, and it does truly feel like an escape from the big city. Beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and a series of hottubs. This place is great for skiiers, hikers, families, couples, groups of friends, or single individua... Read more

My cousin and I went to celebrate our birthdays...we both were in dire need of a relaxing getaway. We were not disappointed! Our room (we had a one bedroom suite) was so cozy and peaceful. We loved the woodburning fireplace, and when we called for more firewood, the man who delivered it brought A LOT. Very generous, and so friendly. The beds were comfy, the furniture was comfy, and they even provided a fan and a humidifier. I really appreciated how quiet the room was. We didn't hear any noise co... Read more

It had been years since we'd stayed at Beaver Run. It has always been for a conference. While the facility is so big, you could get lost, once you get your bearings, it's really quite nice. The staff at check-in and the waitstaff who served our breakfast were all extremely polite, friendly. The room was spotless and was spacious enough for our needs. The conference facility was very good. Acoustics were good and there were huge windows. We all enjoyed watching skiers and their dogs trudge... Read more

We stayed for a few days while house hunting. It was right before the winter season opened, so a lot of the resort was closed. The room was okay. Not terrible at all, but not awesome, either. The shower/jacuzzi tub combo was unusual. It was kind of in the middle of the area in a room by itself; away from the toilet and sink. It was round. It worked alright but was kind of cheaply made. The fireplace worked and the bed was comfortable. The coffeemaker worked as did the dishwasher and mic... Read more

As usual, Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center was a great stay. During our visit, the town had a Wave (light show) going which was great to view. There is always something exciting in Breckenridge, but Beaver Run is the great place to stay. The employees are fantastic.

This is located at the base of peak 9 at Breckenridge directly next to the chairlift. it is also a quick walk to the downtown area. it is a perfect option for a family trip. This resort is very well maintained and managed. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are extremely clean and well furnished. This resort isn't a luxury resort, so typical luxury amenities and furnishings shouldn't be expected. However if you don't want that, you cannot go wrong here.

The staff at Beaver Run go out of their way to ensure your event is a success. The attention to detail, friendly service and swift support with any issues that arise is a great relief to event coordinators and conference participants. Thanks, Beaver Run!

We weren't at this hotel for very long due to it not having air conditioning. It had a portable swamp cooler (with no instructions on how to use it) and two box fans. It was a beautiful room with a great looking jacuzzi tub and rain shower, shower head as well as a small fridge, stove top and dishwasher. If we were here during ski season it would've been awesome but with highs being in the mid to upper 80s and the room we were in was facing west. Even after an hour and a half of the swamp cooler... We stayed in one of the suites in building 4. Great location just wish there would have been an additional fan for the room as it was hot! The pool area was great we really enjoyed our time there. Walking distance to Main Street. The bed has seen its fair share as it was not very comfy, but over all the hotel and grounds were nice. The staff was amazing so nice and made it a point to remember your name and point out great places to visit in town!

NO Air conditioning/extremely HOT!!! You've got to be kidding me!? THE MISERY of the heat made us exhausted and we could barely enjoy our vacation. We were so hot from the heat it felt like we were cooking in an oven!!! My family and I were miserable and couldn't wait to come home. Trying to find a parking spot is like navigating through the gates of "hell"... it's a crazy maze of elevators and taking spots... The scenery is super outdated. The first room they gave us looked like it was haunted.... Read more

We got a good deal to stay here and our own unit in another complex was booked. The complex is too big, it's hard to find an outdoor space to sit and relax, the room was smaller and less comfortable than many motel rooms I've stayed in. I won't be back.

This was our third stay at Beaver Run. I know they have done remodeling, and in the past we have seen it through those eyes, but we are going to try elsewhere next time. Their game room and indoor/outdoor pool are a blast, and we have continued to return for those. But this year, with no air conditioning we were hot. We weren't miserable, but we are paying to stay here. Also, the curtains are not blackout, so it was very difficult to get our daughter to sleep with the longer days. I don't ... Read more

We got a great deal via hotwire so we were pleasantly surprised when we got upgraded to a studio from a hotel room! Smart move on their part because we go to Breck during ski season and rent condos so we might give this a try in the winter. The day was hot but cooled down in the evening so not having air conditioning was not a problem. The pool and hot tub area is at the bottom of the mountain so the view is breath taking. The walk into town is pretty long but they have shuttles. The only negati... Read more

This is my first review of a hotel, and while the pool was very nice, the hotel was dirty. Our hallway smelled so terrible of trash/dumpster and looked as if it had not been vacuumed in weeks. When we got off of the elevator, there was a huge pile of towels/sheets/trash just sitting in the middle of the hall, and it smelled SO bad! The main lobby/check in was nice and the indoor/outdoor pool was a hit with the kids. Our room was average, but had filthy stains on the carpet. The hotel (at lea... Read more

The resort is located conveniently located next to the mountain for easy hiking and mountain biking access. It's also located a short walk from town. With great room amenities and tons of fun things to do with the kids, Beaver Run is a perfect family choice

There are some pros and cons to Beaver Run. First, the front lobby is nice and there are some good amenities. The arcade and mini golf were helpful since it rained a lot while we were there, but they're old and run down. Nice, but small, pool and 6 hot tubs. Spencers is a good place to eat but the Skywalk Cafe is ridiculously expensive- $7 for a slice of pizza. I did get a great massage in the spa. And the shuttle service was excellent, although you can also easily walk to Main St. and the Stati... Read more

This is kind of a different review as we (family of 4, 2 kids) were originally to stay at the Breck Inn, but were upgraded to the property at Beaver Run Resort. A continental breakfast was offered at the Breck Inn, but not at Beaver Run Resort so that was a trade off. We stayed at a condo suite in Building 4. Parking in front of the building was extremely limited. There were 3 temp parking spaces (15 min) for unloading and loading of luggage. There were no luggage carts available on the pro... Read more

we stayed at an apparently privately owned condo in building 3. the space has a balcony facing the mountains, but no furniture for sitting out there, plus it is dirty & worn. the wood furniture is pretty beat up too, & furniture is far too large for the small space. no A/C. the bed loft is upstairs & only good for sleeping--it is very dark with no view. this place would be good for college kids on a ski trip or perhaps for a conference where you won't spend any time in the room/just need a plac... Staff ( front desk & on-site market) were extremely helpful in suggestions to me to treat a bad case of altitude sickness. Also housekeeping service was exceptional! In addition, staff would always take time to ask me if I needed help everytime I appeared to be uncertain where to go ( large facility). Beautiful facility with lots of common area places to sit.

This is a generous 4. I almost called this a 3 but wanted to be fair. As far as convenience to everything, it is great. Short walk into town with plenty of amenities on the property. For a ski resort hotel, I guess I should not be too harsh with my review of the overall property so I will try and be kind. The accomodations are nicely laid out. I will say the water pressure was AWFUL in the shower. I had to have maintenance come to my room and replace the showerhead. That didnt work so ... Read more

My wife and I booked our stay through an app that got us a great price on this hotel but the prices charged at the desk weren't much higher. Our room in tower two was clean, nice, and comfortable for two people. It also had a great view of the Tenmile Range from the window. Staff were incredibly friendly during our stay and the amenities are all but comprehensive. You could pretty much never leave the grounds of the hotel if that was your inclination. I'd recommend against that though, since... Read more
