This property is only average. It is a typical holiday in express. The hallways are dark and narrow. The exercise room is pretty good. The staff is excellent. The young man who checked me and was very helpful with an upgrade, getting me into the exercise room and being generally attentive.

Stayed here just for one night, but ref experience was very good. I'd give 6 stars if I could . The location is perfect. 15 min to gardens of gods and 15 min to caves of wind. And approximately 20 min to zoo. The room was very big , we stayed at 415 room. It was quiet, didn't hear our neighbors at all. And the quietness is rare in hotels. The breakfast was the same as in every hotel. Very friendly staff. We were staying with 1 year old baby so they had a crib for her and even blanket. Thanks f... Read more

Had a great stay in this fantastic hotel. They spoil the customer with a full complimentary breakfast that begins at 6:30 am with very friendly and responsive staff present. Then in the afternoon at 4pm, they provide wonderful fresh popcorn. The best part is at 7 pm when they serve hot fresh cookies - chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal - delicious. They have a nice cardio workout room with towels - the pool and hot tub were not operational due to being early Spring. The sleep room w... Read more

We stayed at this hotel in December 2015 for a family matter. In general, we were unimpressed especially since we also stayed the Hyatt the same month which far outpaces this property. We expected the usual Holiday Inn room and breakfast of egg frisbees on styrofoam, no issue there. While we can not call out major issues, little was right and the cost was not justified. The gentlemen at the front desk are polished and receptive, but clearly just checking in and not overseeing. The room... Read more

I was travelling for work and this was one of the few hotels that met the per diem allowance. I was a little disappointed because it felt so far away from Downtown Boulder, but actually it was only about 10 mins away. Plus, it was a beautiful scenic drive to the hotel everyday. The breakfast was the standard fare as with any Holiday Inn, but they also had freshly popped popcorn in the evenings, as well as cookies. The hotel seems a little dated, but it was clean and the staff was amiable. The ... Read more

Very friendly staff. Large rooms and bathrooms. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Thick walls so you can't hear your neighbors. Continental breakfast has a wide array of options. Pool and hot tub were very clean. Popcorn is served at 4pm with cookies served at 7pm. It's on the north end of town, but there is plenty to do around there including a mini golf course. We stayed at a Sheraton after this and the Holiday Inn Express was way nicer!! Would highly recommend this hotel!

The purchase of the room was made through Hotwire and I wasn't sure whether I'd like Holiday Inn Express Boulder, but the room was far more attractive and well-appointed than I expected for the price! We were sorely in need of a hot shower and a comfy bed after six days of rustic camping in the Rocky Mountain National Forest, and Holiday Inn Express Boulder delivered for us. The only drawback we found with the room was that it was situated just above the pool, so well into the night, there wer... Read more

Great hotel to stay, there is a very good breakfast, popcorn around 4:00PM and fresh cookies around 7 PM. I have stayed at this location a few times on the past year the employees are very cordial and helpful. There are also a few restaurants not to far away for dinner time.

This hotel offered Govt per diem rates which included breakfast, hot tub, a pool, and a workout room. The workout room is very limited though. However this hotel is close to trails into the surrounding mountains. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The room has a small fridge and microwave and sink. My only complaint was the internet access. It is part of the cost but the speed is slow.

Although clean and a friendly staff willing to accommodate, this Holiday Inn Express was Just costly for what you get. For the exuberant price during the summer, we lasted only one night and elected to stay in Broomfield for $100 less at a much nicer hotel. If it were $100-150/ night, it would be just fine. Boulder in the summer is beautiful, so it is a personal decision as to how much you are willing to pay. The location is ok. There are new buildings with cafes and restaurants being built a bl... This hotel was overpriced and in poor condition. the laundry was broke, breakfast bad, and bugs in the rooms. We were there for a softball tournament and they had jacked up the prices, overcharged for the room, after telling them that we needed at least 4 towels when there are 4 people in the room, they always provided only 3 towels and 3 coffees, the laundry broke so they said too bad there is one down the street. When you are washing uniforms for games, you really don't have time to go sit ... Read more

The hotel itself feels old and run down for the price. the hallways have low ceilings, the rooms are dark. The breakfast is not very good at all. All of the food is packaged and very bad, the Hampton Inn chain offers free breakfast that's much better. The Holiday Inn should consider having a make your own waffle machine. Otherwise our stay was great. The staff was friendly, there was ample parking. The hotel had popcorn at 4 o'clock and cookies at 7, a nice touch! A very good location, it was qu... Read more

I could not believe the quality of this hotel for the price I paid. It needs updating. It was clean enough and our room was quite large, but everything is old and outdated. This is not the staff's fault and they were all pleasant. The breakfast was typical HIE. The ladies were nice at breakfast but were using their bare hands to refill the dishes and touching the food. It was an average experience but it was only worth half of what I paid.

Two bad things about the HIE 1. Very slow and horrible wifi connection. Impossible to do anything online 2. Carpet and the rooms have an "old" smell. Only HIE in Boulder until the new one opens in nearby town of Broomsfield. That's all I have for now

We love the Holiday Inn hotels however this particular location was very poor quality than what we typically expect from holiday inn hotels! However one bad egg doesn't ruin the whole batch, we are still committed clients of holiday inn hotels and will never stay anywhere else if at all possible

I had to go to the hotel during a family death. And IHG helped me get a good rate. While there we found bugs every night. We told the front desk but no one cared. And then I was told I should just be happy with the rate I got and leave it alone. And also was told that if I didn't have my AC on the bugs wouldn't of went into our room. So the day we checked out I waited around for 3 hours to talk to the GM of the place. She never took time out to see me or even talk to me. So I would say STAY AWAY... Read more

The lobby was fine, however for $ 242.00 per night the room was awful. There was a hugh burn mark in the middle of the carpet, the toilet didn't work. The room was dingy and just looked old and dirty. The towels were thread bare. Would never stay there again, rather sleep in my car!

Everything was rather good for the price. Room is clean, tide, but a shabby a little. Very small fitness room. Breakfast is poor but cinnamon rolls are great! Good location and friendly stuff. Haven't tried the pool because of the weather. Free parking, good wifi. Overall, nice place.

This hotel is not the quality one expects for a Holiday Inn Express. The whole facility is dated. The bed was okay, but everything else was old. Refrigerator in mini bar was falling out of its enclosure, never could find switch to turn on undercounted light, sofa looked like it came from a tag sale, carpet totally worn out. Shower was ok.

The Hotel is located on the north end of Boulder, it is a fast drive down Broadway to all of the attractions, and Pearl St. CU, is 3 miles away. It is a short drive to Estes Park and Rocky Mt Nat Park. It is about 35 miles but traffic can be a problem. The staff at the hotel was very attentive and they did a nice job for our family. The hotel is under renovation so, they are working to finish it up. Not sure what they are all renovating, saw new carpet in hallways, and the breakfast area wa... Read more

Hotel is situated on north end of town, away from restaurants and activities. It is an older motel in a less desirable area. Clean but showing lots of age. I stopped by breakfast room to grab a banana and was told I couldn't have it!! really! While paying over $200 a night, I didn't think a banana still sitting on the breakfast counter basket would be an issue. The pool is small.

Have stayed here a few times when traveling to Boulder. Like it because it's away from the downtown area where it can be really busy. It's still only a 10 minutes or so away from restaurants and CU Boulder. Free breakfast is good and nice to have available on-site. Room was clean, beds comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. No problems with any of my stays.

I have stayed here a few times over the past 3 years. Each time has been good. This HIE is nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. The main issue I have is that there is not enough space for the breakfast. Breakfast is typical HIE. Get a room with a balcony.

Located in the northern end of Boulder, this is nicely out of the fuss and bustle of the downtown. (Boulder is a reasonably easy town to get around in, and we could be at the Pearl Street area in 10 minutes or less...) The room was clean and comfortable--nothing special, but more than adequate. Free breakfast was pretty much what you would expect from a HIE--again, adequate but nothing special. Staff were polite and helpful. We tried to find a last minute room on a Saturday night in Boulder. We ended up here and the room was quite pleasant. We headed down to the Pearl Street area for a late dinner and drinks, and the drive was a little farther than we had hoped for, but it wasn't bad. The room was really clean and spacious. It was a good find for the last minute. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special, but most continental breakfasts aren't anything special. Hotel staff was friendly.

This is pretty much a typical Holiday Inn Express - nothing outstanding about it. I was unhappy with housekeeping as I asked for extra coffee packets and did not receive them. I was also surprised to find that there was no silverware in my kitchenette room although plates and bowls were provided. When I called the front desk to inquire, the response that I received was that none is ever provided (even though this room has a refrigerator, a sink and a dishwasher).
