Chose this property for a week stay mainly because of its location and on site parking. Parking was expensive but with a hire car it was necessary for us. In and out privileges were handy, although the ticketing system is a little prehistoric coming and going with validation and having to remember tickets etc. The rooms here are tired. Carpet near our fridge was damp and smelly. Rooms are small, limited room for luggage if you've got more than 2 suitcases. Beds were comfy and our room was quiet... Read more

This hotel is all about the location. Ideally situated for different restaurants for different budgets/needs. Even a grocery store over the road, not a big walk to CVS. Yes its a little pricey but worth the extra. Our rooms were comfortable, especially the beds. Clean. The bathroom shower was powerful but height set for shorter people. Ideal for me at 5ft Great inroom safe. Which compared to other hotels we have stayed in was huge. The only downside is lack of storage for guests staying a long... Read more

Overall the hotel itself was fine. Room was very clean and had a decent amount of space. Bathroom was in good shape. The only complaint I have was with the parking. Too few spaces for the amount of rooms. Parking mixed with slots for National Car Rentals and Wells Fargo. We did not know what slots were for the hotel and where we could park. The valet was as helpful as he could be with the limited spaces.

Small hotel, but it has secure parking ($) and a nice little pool area. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Great 24-hour café next door, and all kinds of stores and shops within walking distance. Yes, I would definitely stay there again.

Very conveniently located on Santa Monica. Price is reasonable considering the location is excellent for the places we wanted to go. Fortunately we didn't have to park a car as that is $30 p/day! Hotel is beginning to be outdated but still in relatively good shape. The bed is very comfortable which was the best part. Very limited drawer space and closet space in the room we were in. Did have a refrigerator and safe which was good.

Rooms are not too big, it looks like it's an old hotel. However its location is excellent. The hotel is located near the major points of interest with shops an restaurants within walking distance. If and when I visit again, I will stay here.

the hotel is slightly old and could do with a refresh but the staff are very good and helpfull especially the concierge, we had 2 rooms with windows that opened away from street front and could sleep without aircon, good location with a drive straight to Santa Monica, close to Rodeo Drive and Cheesecake factory, supermarket next door for fresh fruit, yoghurt and drinks, plenty of parking, but short of good food outlets within short walking distance

Not knowing the area and booking online, we were pleased with our choice. The room was big, the bed was comfy and it was very clean. The only problem we did encounter was the noise from the room/s above us. WE were told that the 4th floor had rooms with wooden floors therefore the noise echoed through our ceiling. We had continuous noise from 6pm-midnight and then started again at 5.30am, goodness knows what the people were doing up there to make all that noise in the first place for that amo... Read more

I think the best part of this hotel is its prime location. The rooms and lobby have clearly been redone recently. Very elegant and modern. Terrific old deco building. I thought the front desk staff wasn't terribly friendly and for $200 a night, the towels were awful....more like a budget hotel.

When I checked in, I was told I was "upgraded" to a loft suite (I think). When we got to the room, I was taken aback by the bizarre set up. Small sitting area and bathroom were downstairs and there was a 13 step staircase up to the bedroom. There was a ceiling fan and high ceilings. Might I add that the air conditioning unit was DOWNSTAIRS (there should be an A/C unit upstairs). When we got into the room, the upstairs was soooo hot. We turned the ceiling fan on and put the air down to 60. Then l... Read more

Although we had a comfortable king size bed we found the room had a smell to it. We found the smell much worse in the hallway and the carpet in the hallway dirty and in places threadbare = third floor. We did not want to stay here and went to another hotel nearby which was clean and the carpets more new. The new hotel was also well aired. It was an average stay for me, it did have a great location right next to a 24/7 diner so it was great to go next door and get food if we were too lazy. The hotel room was pretty average and it was worth what we paid. The only negative point I have to raise is that when you're showering it's pretty awkward that the soap holder that is mounted on the wall is close to your head. The hotel was below par for the money that was paid. This was starting from the front desk where the staff seemed very casual and did not seem very friendly. The room itself, though good size, had a very pungent smell through out our stay. The bed was very uncomfortable and I ended up with sevre back pain. I had to sleep on the floor for couple of nights just to avoid aggravating my condition.

The location of the hotel was great! The staff was great! However there were a few things that made me uneasy. 1- 1 towel in the room. 2- bathroom tile grout was supposed to be white but was almost black. 3- someone else's body hair in the bathroom 4- a red blood like subtance on the shower curtain. Maybe it was finger nail polish.....doubt it.

NIce location, very tasteful and stylish room. Front desk staff was wonderful. PLEASE get some pillows that are not pure mush and nearly suffocate you when trying to sleep. Some of like firm pillows. How about a mix of options? Parking fee was fair. I liked the in and out privileges but the ticket system was really antiquated and frustrating. If you pay for parking and have in/out privileges, why can't you just swipe your room key card to enter and exit?

It's not a very nice hotel. The front desk staff is friendly, but the managers we dealt with were particularly rude and unfriendly. You'll see stains on the carpet and rust in places.
