My experience at this hotel was a huge positive surprise. I would highly recommend trying to book a room at the Walnut Creek Embassy Suites hotel. My room was superior to the Holiday Inn which my company usually books for me, and it was less expensive.

We have stayed at this hotel several times, enjoyed each time, and would definitely return. The staff is wonderful: Felicia, Perla, Maria at the Front Desk, DeniLu Valdez, now Asst Manager, and Laura at the Valet...These fine staff treated us like family, and always assisted us with courteous smiles and helpful attitudes. Breakfast was excellent. Pool clean and gym also spotless.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites, Walnut Creek, California, on May 10-11, 2016, where the "number one focus is customer service."  Their excellent customer service to me on this visit certainly exemplifies that this focus is being fulfilled at the highest levels. On this visit, I did not want to call attention to myself but I did want to explain why I was requesting late checkout at 2PM.  When I checked in at the front desk, I told the front desk staff person that I would be going to Queen of H... The happy hour, which was also complimentary, was superb as well, this was a nice surprise. Rooms were clean and well appointed, not luxurious, but very satisfactory, and clea... Read more

We had a extended stay at this east bay location and loved it. The front desk couldn't be more helpful and Rosie is wonderful. No matter what the problem the girls had a smile on their face. The breakfast is excellent and we also enjoyed the managers cocktail parties. Immediately across from BART so you can get everywhere . We would stay here again.

LOCATION Our first time staying at this location. Our main reason was that we traveled from Reno and needed to have business for a couple of days in San Francisco. You might wonder, why not drive to San Francisco and stay there? With my knowledge of having lived in San Francisco for 10 years and living in the East bay for over 20 years, I know the whole bay area very well. Thus, my reason for staying here was to avoid the long extra 90 minutes of stressful slow driving that it would take to ... Read more

We have stayed here several times over the years - I was born and raised in Walnut Creek, so it's nice to come back to the area and see what's been happening. The inside of the hotel is nice - and appears to have had some remodeling done in the open areas. (It doesn't have the appearance of some of the older Embassy Suites.) We were comfortable in our room - and in all honesty, even though our room was by the BART track, we were never bothered by it - it's a quiet transportation system and do... Read more

Hotel is nice, and great location for visiting family in Walnut Creek. However, front desk staff are either uncaring or incompetent. Had two problems with the room, one very serious, which we reported to the front desk. Although the staff seemed to listen and care, absolutely nothing happened to address the problems. Also, the BART went by about 20 feet from our window, so a little noisy.

Suites are well equipped with heaps of room. Food was great. Coffee was average. Check out was weird! We were there for a week and had to process three separate payments?? They also debit the card you give to guarantee the booking!! We actually wanted to split the bill and put my share on a different card.... watch out for that.

Outside, lobby, and atrium are nice. Rooms are still stuck in the 90s. Smells, poor cleaning, noise from the AC units can be heard 3 floors down on the back of the hotel. Especially for the cost of this location. Parking is $22 valet only. Self parking is $18 if you park next door. Would not stay here again. I wanted to get away from busy and noisy environment, so I decided to book a hotel in Walnut Creek rather than San Francisco. As I expected, the hotel was located in a nice and quite area, which I liked very much.

Good, not great, hotel. Looking just a little tired. $22/day for valet parking. Was there 3 days charged for 5. Complimentary breakfast very good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room-nice, clean. For price of room need to convert bed to pillow top.

The hotel is a stone's throw to downtown which is chock full of restaurants and great retail. It is also easy access to the freeway system. The hotel has a good complimentary breakfast and the rooms are comfortable. The staff to a person was a breath of fresh air!

Front Desk Staff was lovely but room was not. I had to have my room cleaned upon check in at 9:30pm. I was told they are short staffed. Mildew in the shower, TP and Hair on the floor behind toilet. Doors were dirty, coffee on walls, desk had dried on food on it. This hotel is in need of an update. Sofa was dirty and tired. I did leave my phone charger, the front desk was very accommodating in helping me retrieve it.

I stayed here for over three weeks as part of a relocation. Convenient location to Bart which literally goes past your window. Room's a bit tired but otherwise fully functional. Happy hour and complimentary snacks a real treat plus, for someone like me on my own, a really great way to interact with other guests. Staff are sensational and really make you feel at home. The breakfasts are fantastic, calorie counters beware! Highly rcommended

I spent 3 nights in this hotel. Upon arrival I was immediately impressed with the front desk, she was very welcoming and did her best to get me a room as far from the Bart line as possible (I am light sleeper). To be honest the room was not great, it was spacious but as others mentioned it is in desperate need of a redo. Breakfast and happy hour were great much better than what is offered in many Hilton lounges (I am a diamond member). Again during the happy hour the staff shined again, when ... Read more

We booked a block of rooms for classmates coming from out of the area and held our first gathering there on Friday night. The "Happy Hour" was a great way to start our weekend of gatherings. The staff is top-notch and help us create an evening that was fabulious. Our hotel rooms were perfect as was the breakfast in the morning. The Bart Train is just across the street which will take you all over the entire Bay Area. It is a great place to stay!

Embassy Suites is a great place to stay where ever you go. We have stayed at this location before which is very conveniently located near a BART station for easy access to the San Francisco Bay Area. This hotel has the large atrium with very nice Koi ponds, trees, and gathering areas. The rooms are nice being divided into a family type room and a bedroom with a door between for privacy. The breakfast was very good (included) featuring cooked to order omelets, pancakes and French toast. We... Read more

This hotel is conveniently located to I-680 and is a typical Embassy property with rooms opening on to a huge open atrium-like area where evening hors d'oeuvres and morning breakfast are served. We arrived at check-in time - 4pm - and were sent to a room that reeked of cigarette smoke so badly that we had to call down to the desk and ask to be moved. This should have been fixed and seriously cleaned before it was offered to any guest and the former guest should be held liable. Two of the eleva... Read more

The facility was attractive, clean, and the staff extremely friendly and very professional. Service is excellent, and perfect location for using BART. I stay here every time I visit the area, but am aware that while rooms are clean, they are not in perfect condition in terms of maintenance. However, the lobby is wonderful. Love all aspects of the hotel except room issues such as curtains needing hems repaired (sheers hang on floor below curtain), and sofa broken. Will continue to stay there.

This Embassy Suites offered a welcome respite after long days of sight seeing in San Francisco. After a filling complimentary breakfast, we walked a block over to jump on the BART to head into the city to explore. In the evening on our return, we would relax at the complimentary happy hour with other guests and staff. The hotel suites were very large, walk in shower oversized. The staff was so helpful and enjoyable.

We arrived, early evening, from the airport on BART (Rapid Transit) to the hotel which was walking distance. There was an inviting buffet of snacks to tide us over until their shuttle took us out to meet our friends at a nearby restaurant. The next morning we ate a delicious, chef made breakfast and headed out for the family weekend at U C Berkeley on the BART.

First impressions is everything. I live in the area so was not looking for a room. I drove up to the entrance in hopes of leaving my car with the Bellman for 5 minutes to look at the space for a future event. There was no room on the curb so instead of going back to the street for a long drive around the block, I drove down the slope where the valet parking was. 3-4 valet men were chatting and told me I had to back up the ramp and speak to the Bellman. I have always enjoyed staying at Embassy Suite hotels, however, they usually seem to fall just a little short on the "value" area. While the open balconies to the atrium always makes me nervous, the Embassy Suites concept is still viable. When it is quiet, the atrium is very peaceful and attractive. The food is less than stellar and housekeeping needs to pay better attention... especially in CLOSING THE DOOR BEHIND THEM! My door was left ajar while I was away! This hotel requires valet parking (no other choice) at $22 a day. I was not told of that when I made my reservation by phone. I was also charged a "A&G Misc" fee of $19.32 for prepaying with a Visa. What? The bed was very comfortable and the room clean and relatively quiet. That almost made up for the rest in the long run.
