My experience at this hotel was a huge positive surprise. I would highly recommend trying to book a room at the Walnut Creek Embassy Suites hotel. My room was superior to the Holiday Inn which my company usually books for me, and it was less expensive.

We have stayed at this hotel several times, enjoyed each time, and would definitely return. The staff is wonderful: Felicia, Perla, Maria at the Front Desk, DeniLu Valdez, now Asst Manager, and Laura at the Valet...These fine staff treated us like family, and always assisted us with courteous smiles and helpful attitudes. Breakfast was excellent. Pool clean and gym also spotless.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites, Walnut Creek, California, on May 10-11, 2016, where the "number one focus is customer service."  Their excellent customer service to me on this visit certainly exemplifies that this focus is being fulfilled at the highest levels. On this visit, I did not want to call attention to myself but I did want to explain why I was requesting late checkout at 2PM.  When I checked in at the front desk, I told the front desk staff person that I would be going to Queen of H... From the minute we entered the hotel, the service was absolutely fantastic. Perla checked us in and was very obliging and efficient, nothing was any trouble. The breakfasts, which were complimentary, were simply superb, and the breakfast chefs were amazing, watching them cooking breakfasts to order was a show in itself.. The happy hour, which was also complimentary, was superb as well, this was a nice surprise. Rooms were clean and well appointed, not luxurious, but very satisfactory, and clea... Read more

We had a extended stay at this east bay location and loved it. The front desk couldn't be more helpful and Rosie is wonderful. No matter what the problem the girls had a smile on their face. The breakfast is excellent and we also enjoyed the managers cocktail parties. Immediately across from BART so you can get everywhere . We would stay here again.

LOCATION Our first time staying at this location. Our main reason was that we traveled from Reno and needed to have business for a couple of days in San Francisco. You might wonder, why not drive to San Francisco and stay there? With my knowledge of having lived in San Francisco for 10 years and living in the East bay for over 20 years, I know the whole bay area very well. Thus, my reason for staying here was to avoid the long extra 90 minutes of stressful slow driving that it would take to ... Read more

We have stayed here several times over the years - I was born and raised in Walnut Creek, so it's nice to come back to the area and see what's been happening. The inside of the hotel is nice - and appears to have had some remodeling done in the open areas. (It doesn't have the appearance of some of the older Embassy Suites.) We were comfortable in our room - and in all honesty, even though our room was by the BART track, we were never bothered by it - it's a quiet transportation system and do... Read more

Hotel is nice, and great location for visiting family in Walnut Creek. However, front desk staff are either uncaring or incompetent. Had two problems with the room, one very serious, which we reported to the front desk. Although the staff seemed to listen and care, absolutely nothing happened to address the problems. Also, the BART went by about 20 feet from our window, so a little noisy.

Suites are well equipped with heaps of room. Food was great. Coffee was average. Check out was weird! We were there for a week and had to process three separate payments?? They also debit the card you give to guarantee the booking!! We actually wanted to split the bill and put my share on a different card.... watch out for that.

The accommidations were excellent and the customer service as well. The room was clean and all the staff were friendly. The o my issue I had was that they had only a half of roll of toilet paper in the restroom. I called and they brought more right away

Very slow and chaotic breakfast - don't bother. Maid service tried to barge in several times. Had decent luck at other embassy suites but won't try this one again. Very pretty lobby though. Nice looking pool

Great hotel, clean, pleasant, evening reception and breakfast included. Very convenient to the BART Pleasant Hill station across the street. Short distance from many restaurants and shopping. Beautiful gardens surrounding hotel entrance with plants in central atrium along with live fish in streams and pools.

Overall very nice hotel, however parking is valet only and not cheap! Bar is overpriced (example a bottle of Miller light $8) compared to other hotels in the area where I stay. Breakfast made to order omelet is very nice, room was clean, internet seemed decent, staff professional and friendly.

I came back into my room after a long business day to find feces in my toilet. I reported it to the front desk and they took and hour to send up maintenance and engineering and then forgot after three calls to send up housekeeping to refresh the room. I was tempted to send a picture to the GM with this untimely picture but since they neglected to address the issues in a timely manner I chose to check out and never stay at this hotel again. We have stayed in other Embassy Suites before, and enjoyed them - but I have to say this particular hotel in Walnut Creek went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. The people were friendly and also able to think on their feet if they didn't know an answer - they got one. The cook, the front staff, the person who brought our food, the manager, the bartender - all friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping made my daughter's bed up with her stuffed animals arranged in a cute circle. Ver... Read more

The hotel itself in located in a nice area, but service can be better. While checking in by the front desk supervisor, I asked her about the Hilton Honours programme. She seemed annoyed by me asking more details. We were then assigned Room 304 which is an accessible room. Everything in the room was fine except for the noise in the lobby, until we checked out the bathroom. The smell of sewage was so strong that I couldn't even finish washing my hands in there. It is a room that should not have... Read more

We had a mixed experience at this Embassy Suites. although I had put in for a 2:00 arrival time and made requests for drinks/extra towels upon arrival, when we arrived at about 2:15 there was no room ready. The front desk attendant was polite but not very sympathetic. Her main goal seemed to be to inform us that check-in time is 4:00. The the staff's credit, they did provide extra Diet Cokes to our room that evening and did not charge us for them. All other aspects of our visit were fine... Read more

While the hotel is in a good location the set up is horrible. Parking is a nightmare and only valet is available for 22 a night. Be prepared to wait a while for your car. 75 percent of the staff is pleasant and helpful. 25 percent of the staff are rude and dismissive. There are no do not disturb signs so good luck sleeping in. It's loud and they can't wait to close down breakfast...often early. All in all I would go somewhere else. Even if it meant you need to travel an extra 5 or 10 mib... Read more

We spent 5 nights here over the 4th of July. Our experience was mostly good. The location was convenient for our family of 5 vs paying hotel prices in downtown San Francisco. We were only able to enjoy the reception on the first night and that was brief as we arrived just before it was over. Breakfast in the morning was good. 1 day they did not have the Buffett available so we ordered. They had no bacon the same morning. Each day we had a mix of folks order or selec t the buffet. Some staff care, some staff can't be bothered. No toilet paper in our room, constantly having to request towels from the maids, a front desk clerk that told a caller to "shut up" about poor representation. The breakfast buffet was not used every morning and the line for made-to-order omelettes was always long. The english muffins were hockey pucks and the toaster doesn't do much more than make the bread warm. The internet only seemed to work if there wasn't a business meeting going o... Read more

No friendly receptionists around here! You have to force a conversation for them to acknowledge your existence, let alone get help with even checking in, that is, even if you are the only one in front of their face at the counter. I checked-in online before arriving with my wife and kids knowing that we will be arriving after midnight, due to flight delays by United Airlines. When we got to the hotel at 2:00 AM, the receptionist told us our reservation was canceled, because of no show, and tha... Read more

The on-line amenities I purchased ahead of arrival were not in my room. The pool was out of service the first day and we were directed to 24 hour Fitness. I am 65, my sister 75 and my two grandsons ages 11 and 9 were told it was a short walk. However we had several hazardous crossings and when we got there, kids under 12 were not allowed to swim so I hustled back on my own to get my car. The hotel should have provided us a ride in the first place.

I have stayed at this property few times in the past and it's my preferred hotel in the Walnut Creek area. Check in/out was smooth and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was very good, with made to order omelets. Didn't attend happy hour but it looked very decent. The disaster was housekeeping. Twice after returning after a long day there was no bath mat/towel. Also, they didn't replace the plastic cups. We called the front desk to ask for replenish both but they never came.
