Solid hotel with good service. Parking requires one to get through a gate--guests who stay on the premise have a ticket to get out with, but if you have friends coming over to visit you, it becomes a bit more hassle. Decor not too modern, but it's good for the price.

The Airtel Plaza hotel is adjacent to the Van Nuys airport and has a befitting aeronautical theme. The public areas are full of great airplane memorabilia. There is a giant Pan Am model plane hanging in the lobby and dozens of interesting photos maps on the walls. The rooms are large and well appointed. Best of all - the rates are quite reasonable.

Despite being a bit old the hotel is well maintained. Its quite spacious and clean. Its situated at almost midway to Six Flags and Universal Studio. The bed was quite comfortable and good heating. However we were a little disappointed to learn that there was no microwave oven support. We are vegetarians and prefer heating our food as their restaurant had more meat options.Apart from this I also thought the parking was a bit on the expensive side and the parking pass worked intermittently causing some... Obviously one of the best hotels in the San fernando Valley area. Never feel like you are in city with quiet park feeling even next to the airport. It has a great bar, great drinks, great food, great atmosphere, great and awesome front desk customer. Most especially by these two front desk staff "Jerry" and "Gari". they so friendly and accommodating. The weather was great so we opted for the Spa. It was superb heated. Our experience for three days stay here was really unexpected. One of the best... Read more

We rented on a special .. looks nice from outside but inside the standard room was scary, very old and smelly. Worst thing was it smelled like weed the entire time we were there and elevator was broken most of the time. The people working where rude. The spa had died bugs in there and tons of leafs.. bed was very uncomfortable. It should be rated a 2 star hotel, also the pay of 12.00 per day per parking. In the front entrance looks fancy but don't let that fool you. We won't stay where again.

This is my second stay at Airtel Plaza Hotel. The Hotel is a very great place to stay. Nice rooms, excellent breakfast with the best sausage around. The staff is amazing!!! Especially Gary, the night manager. He is the persona of making someone feel like a very valuable guest. He went out of his way to make my stay great. He remembered my last name and greeted me every time I passed by. I felt like I was a celebrity or a very notable guest!!! I would definitely recommend this hotel. Sa... Read more

It was a late late night and all hotels around the area were sold out. We stopped at the nearest gas station and asked for a nice hotel. The guy referred this Airtel because he said it's the nicest hotel in the area. We went inside the lobby saw the Pan Am airplane and we shouted Bingo! It was a great hotel with five stars accomodation. We were greeted with full smiles security Roy, We were given a preferred room by this sharp and cheerful auditor Gerry a room where the pilot stays. This room w... Read more

I expected better, the phone reservation was very awkward, the front desk was very awkward, the room is very awkward, the whole thing is pretty disconcerting, the staff seems to go out of their way to make things difficult, for a place that's gotten pretty high ratings. I may stay here this time but I seriously doubt if I'll ever return...

The hotel is a bit old but it is well maintained and kept clean. The staff is really nice from front desk, to restaurant staff and others. Compared to other hotels the price was reasonable but we had to pay and extra $13 ( i think) a day and buffet breakfast was $16 per person. The buffet was good but it is the exact same one everyday. Not too noisy even if we are right on the Van Nuys airport; it is actually pretty cool to see those smaller planes take off, park and land. Would definitely c... Read more
