This hotel is next to the Van Nuys airport, that serves private planes only. We spent two days here to attend a conference. The staff is very nice everywhere, reception, maintenance, coffee, or pub. The rooms are large and very quiet. The vanity is outside of the bathroom. The bathroom is tiled, and was clean. The bathtub needs to be replaced tho'. It was painted over and the paint is peeling. The faucet over the tub needs to be fixed or replaced. The bed was very wobbly, although I slept... Read more

The hotel was spotless, the service excellent, and the huge airplane"flying" overhead in the lobby was great fun. The breakfast buffet was nice. I had a few drinks and light dinner in the bar. The food was fair. Overall, the hotel is a bit threadbare. The pool is right on the edge of the airport which is fun, but loud. I was there working for a convention. I found the services provided were nicely done, fast, and professional.

Check in was a breeze and the there was plenty of parking. I have always had a problem with hotels charging extra for parking but that's just the way it goes sometimes. $12 a night with in and out privileges. Did not eat at the bar or restaurant but it looked nice and it advertises a good happy hour. Every place I went was clean. Room was very clean but very basic. 2 beds, a desk, chair , alarm clock, TV and coffee maker. Air conditioner did not work. I never called the front desk to report but ... Read more

This hotel is very basic. It has your typical beds, white sheets, pretty clean bathroom, and tv and wifi (only 2 devices per room though) for entertainment. I've had my fair share of hotels and nothing really blew me away while staying in this hotel. It wasn't the greatest experience ever but it also wasn't one of the worst. It got the job done while my family and I stayed in LA for 5 days and I definitely recommend it if you plan on exploring the city for most of the day and just using it as a ... Read more

Sometimes it's the small things that matter. This is the second time we stayed here when there were no bathroom glasses (plastic or otherwise), no coffee cups for the coffee maker. Therefore no way to even get a drink of water without trudging a long way back to the lobby and waiting for someone to show up to ask for some cups. Very late night check-in so no housekeeping staff to help. Another small thing were the size of the ants that were all over the bathroom and in the morning all over t... Read more

I stay frequently at this hotel. Most important for me is the top shelf service provided by Gerry and Gary who greet me at the front desk every trip. Their exceptional service is what keeps me coming back.

We had a great stay at Airtel! Everyone on staff was pleasant and friendly. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The pool was the perfect temperature. The bar had a very nice Happy Hour. We booked as a group and had access to the Coaches Corner. This was a large room with refrigerator, utensils, large tv and white board. Also had a large conference table and a couple of couches. Our coach was able to meet with our team at this location to go over the previous game and make plays f... Read more

This hotel is the nastiest hotel I've stayed at. The management are just as nasty as the hotel. They are very unfriendly and rude, the hotel smells like mold and manure. They lied to me and told me it was a health issue to take food out of the restaurant, meanwhile the waitress walks right by me with a platter of food taking it to a room so I asked about that and they said it was room service so it was ok... I think they just want the extra room service fees, because there are no such health cod... Read more

Stayed at the Airtel Plaza Hotel for two weeks while attending a school in the local area and am so glad that I chose to stay here. The staff was very professional and very attentive. Three of the staff members just stood out above the rest, Jerry at the Front Desk, Darwin with Guest Services and Mauricio in Engineering. Would recommend staying here if you are in need of a clean and quit room for a great price.

This hotel has had many bad reviews but instead of fixing the issues they spend their time lobbying Trip Advisor to remove the bad reviews. When I spent the night here the staff was very rude and lied to me. They told me I couldn't take food out of the restaurant because it was a health violation, but it is a health violation to stay at this hotel. Also a waitress walked by me with a plate of food and I asked about it and she said it was room service so it's ok to take out of the restaurant. I t... Read more

I dont know how much cost this hotel but its ok if you are not worry about the location or you want something not very far from the airport. It has an outdoor swimming pool. A little old but big room (ad most of the rooms in the States). The best the staff!!!!!

Rooms are renovated and TV are all new. The only questionable idea is why they close their restaurant that serves great food. It's not right, wrong decision.. Is business going up or going down? You're making a very bad decision. Our family loves to dine at night but don't let our kids dine inside your bar.... You have a very good staff and amazing hotel.

Airtel Plaza Hotel Los Angeles Inside looks a little tired but staff were very accommodating. Rooms generous with usual facilities of toiletries, coffee etc but no room safes. Small pool and nice courtyard garden on opposite side. Interesting decor with plane hanging in reception area. Great cafe, lively bar with food available and good restaurant. Really good spread for breakfast. Location is not central and small airport nearby so plane noises can be heard. Probably why the hotel is used fo... Read more

This place has seen some use for sure. One of the elevators was perpetually broken and the hallway on the third floor smelled strongly of urine. The standard room was large, if a little worn. Comfortable bed and good water pressure in the shower. The front desk staff and bar staff were exceptional. Very nice and helpful. The $5 happy hour was a nice treat as well!

The staff was friendly, the lobby was nice, the restaurant was good but expensive. The rooms were not clean, the sink faucet ran a stream unless it was turned off very hard, and there was very little pressure in the shower. People were frequently caught in the elevators (the inspections were expired) and had to force the doors open. The staff would reset the elevators and they would work for a while. There is free Wi-Fi, but it was out for over a day and their alternative did not work. Parking w... Read more

I've been coming to this hotel on and off for the past year and I have never had any major issues. The staff, from the front desk to bellman to housekeeping, is very accommodating, kind, and friendly. Gerry, Adrian, and Sean are awesome. If I wanted to change rooms because it wasn't what I wanted they would have new rooms keys made and ready to pick up whenever I was finished packing my things. The beds are soft and comfy and the rooms are nice and spacious. Being next to the airport was never a... Read more

As soon as my friends and I walked in, we fell in love with the theme. It didn't seem like this hotel was a chain, which was surprising because the customer service we received was excellent, especially from Gerry! So friendly!

Perfect location for my stay - close to Mom's house. Good price too. I liked that it had a bar and restaurant. And an elevator. And free wifi! I didn't like that they charged extra for parking. My tv wouldn't work. Luckily I have Netflix on my phone. And the free wifi with enough bandwidth!

I stayed here 4 nights for work. Your first impression of the hotel is that it is in a "sketchy" area (mostly industrial plus the local airport). Then you go inside and you are taken back to an era when hotels were destinations in themselves. The best part of this hotel is the food, believe it or not. Breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had. We ate dinner one night in the Clipper Cafe and it was outstanding and not too expensive for the area. The room was comfortable enough with a ni... I reserved one of the rooms with the "private, rooftop terrace" for my husband and I to enjoy a weekend away. The terrace, which was on the third floor, overlooked the parking lot which is between the hotel and the airport. There was nothing private about this terrace, including the picnic that was happening in the parking lot below us. Yes, there is a jetted tub out there... but you might as well use the pool because this is no more private than a pool would be. The room was very small, and ... Read more

Whenever we stay in "The Valley" we opt for The Airtel. It's situated right near the key expressways, near good restaurants, it's clean, rooms are spacious, staff is courteous and the price is right. The buffet breakfast is outstanding, and it can keep you going all day long. Above all, if you fly in by private plane, you can park right outside your room. Desk clerks Adrian on day shift and Gary on evening shift are especially helpful..
