Hallways and rooms are in major need of complete overhaul as appearance was so worn that no amount of cleaning could remedy the feeling that countless guests had been through before. The gym was small. Walls were thin so sound transmission of children occurred often.

There rooms are VERY expensive for what you got. They most CROWDED bathroom! It sucked....very poor design. Mold in there bathroom, screw kept coming out of door handle, sink facets leaked, sink trap leaked and then toilet leaked too. Booked there club level- very prompt in shutting it up. Very nice people in hotel. Excellent shutter to Universal Studios. We had a wheelchair person and they were great to help her.

Our primary purpose was to visit Universal Studios and this is an awesome place to stay as we were able to walk to the park in less than 10 minutes. We booked a package including breakfast, parking and park tickets. As we are SPG members we should have had complimentary access to the internet. However, I had to ask about it several times. There was not a problem adding it, but it was a bit of a pain having to ask all of the time. Also, despite giving our room number at breakfast we were charged ... Read more

The hotel itself is very comfortable and a high standard. Unfortunately it lets it self down with poor service. They charge for internet but when you are paying $300 a night it should be free. They have coffee in the room, but only supply two small cups of milk. I went to the restaurant to get more milk, and they charged me $3. In the afternoon I went to the restaurant to get two cups of coffee and had to wait 15mins, then they charged $10. You should get premium service for the rates they... Read more

Nice enough enough hotel. After finishing a 5 week trip and staying in places either at the same level as this hotel or either, I was baffled to have to pay $9.95 PER DAY for wifi. It was FREE at every other hotel. I had heard something about SPG members (I am a member) getting it for free, but when I asked concierge about this, they said no, it was in the lobby only. Saying we can use free wifi in the lobby is not a favour to your guests - it's an inconvenience. Please get with the times. I... Read more

We picked this hotel due to the close proximity to Universal Studios Hollywood. We arrived a little early about 200 pm. We had called in the morning to ensure that an early check in would be available. We were traveling with another couple that had checked in early. We had requested an adjoining room but there wasn't one available when the other couple arrived so they told the front desk to at least make sure we were in the same floor. Our upgrade included the lounge, where you could stuff yourself silly, if you wanted. I have stayed at the Sheraton for business numerous times in the past and always enjoyed my stay. The rooms were well maintained and the staff friendly and attentive, especially the concierge who always remembered me. The view were great we were on the seventeenth floor, and there is an observation room on the twenty-first floor. The AC's fan was a bit noisy but after we got the room cooled down it was not needed. The stay at this hotel was pretty "fun." On most weekdays the hotel hosts this thing where you can try and throw bean bags into a hole and if you get it in on any of your tries, you get to chose any of the prizes off of the prize wheel, if you don't you spin the wheel. Some prizes on the wheel include Starwood points, Starbucks coffee and more. My family and I felt like the whole hotel had some sort of an air conditioning problem.

It seems like there are two levels to this hotel, high end comfort and not... When you arrive you are greeted by pleasant staff and walk into an elegant lobby. You think wow! Minuses- The rooms are very old and run down. The shower was not very clean, some of the lights didn't work, & the luggage stand was broken. This hotel is definitely in the middle of a tourist trap but is the closest SPG property to my client so we frequently stay here. In fact, I've probably spent 60 nights here over the past 3 years! Overall, this property is in bad need of updated rooms (just completed for pool). The hotel's location makes it great for visiting universal studios attractions but not always available last minute for business travel. We would like to give some feedback to the hotel: we have been greatly disappointed. Here are the reasons: 1. We checked in and had specifically requested a higher floor. Now whilst we didn't expect the top floor, we didn't expect the 2nd floor either, having 16 floor options. 2. When we arrived to our room, the TV wasn't working at all. Thankfully quickly fixed once reception was notified. We were on a floor where obviously there were alot of people from the conference that was on below stay... Read more

We were visiting from Australia and this Sheraton was perfect for visiting Universal and surrounding attractions. We asked for a fridge, and it was delivered almost straight away. Rooms were neat and tidy. Very friendly staff, the only disappointment with our stay was the calls back to Australia we made from our room. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel but most definitely my last. I am a frequent business traveler so security is important to me. This past week has really opened my eyes as to the unprofessionalism of the security for such a large corporate chain. Here's what happened. I left the room at 6 pm to go to birthday party and returned around 1 am. The neighbors in the room next door (on a Monday) were up all night, and I had to call security twice at 1 AM to get some help.
