We stayed in Tulare while visiting Sequoia, Yosemite, and Kings Canyon National parks. This is a newer hotel and is very nice. Everything was very clean and well kept. We had a minor issue with the cable but management eventually responded by offering us another room. Breakfast was very good with a selection of Hot and cold things. Our only complaint was eggs were not good. Location was relatively convenient to Sequoia and Kings Canyon parks but about a 3 hr drive from Yosemite. I would recommen... Read more

I was disappointed with our one night stay here. We checked in late and when we arrived in our room I tried to was my hands and there were no soaps or shampoo or conditioner. We had to pick it up from front desk. It was not replenished from the night before. It was clean and renovated. The sheets wee soft and the bed comfortable enough. Rooms & bathroom are spacious with fridge and microwave in room which is convenient. Staff is pleasant. The floors are super they didn't actually vacuum or didn't try very hard. There were huge chip crumbs under our bed skirt and they were definitely not from us. There were multiple stray hairs in the shower that could have easily been washed away by anyone paying attention which was frustrating. We found a spider on the bed one night (which is not their fault necessarily) but upo... Read more

Had saw on the website it was recently remodeled, that's the main reason we booked a nite here(on our way to sequoia nat'l park) Hotel is nice, but room was not as grand as I expected for being newly renovated. I have stayed at Hampton inn in San Diego, Ca & Cortez Co. Both hotels were phenomenal. Hotel rooms at this Hampton felt a bit dated. Room was a good size, but television was on the small side & some of the channels were fuzzy. Average bathroom (with coffee pot). Yuck! Don't understand w... Read more

Great staff and rooms. Had two issues: 1 Family in room above had small kids that ran back and forth for several hours. Had to call desk twice after 10 PM. 2. Before 8 AM on Sunday morning, housekeeping started vacuuming halls with a vacuum cleaner so loud that I thought it was the gardener outside with a leaf blower. So much for any chance to sleep in on a Sunday morning!

I did ask what was growing on the miles of tree groves we drove by. But the lady at the front desk did not know. There was a homeless man living off property but viewable from back parking lot. The Hampton Inn in Tulare is fairly typical of most Hampton Inns. However, there is no guest laundry facility even though the website says they have one. We rarely use a guest laundry, but we were counting on this one since it was a stopping point between two outdoors parts of our trip. The person at the desk said that they removed the laundry facility about 18 months ago. That should be more than enough time to update the hotel website.

I stayed here about 50 nights over several months. They've recently done a facelift at the hotel, and it shows. Unfortunately, the same facelift hasn't applied to the front desk staff. They are inconsistent - sometimes ok, and sometimes not. As a diamond member who is coming back to the hotel a couple times a week, I don't ever expect to be walked. That was a very unpleasant evening. This is one Hilton loyal (diamond) who won't be back.

So it's another Hampton Inn and it's another night out on business. Very standard Hampton Inn with all the standard amenities and consistent room setup. So how do I then compare one from the other? I have stayed here several times in the past years and not once ever been recognized or appreciated by the front desk staff as a Diamond member.
