A five minute walk to Universal Studios and plenty of restaurants to chose from in the vicinity. Particularly nice rooms, plenty of helpful and friendly staff. However breakfast was not included in the price and pickings were slim at the mini-cafe in the lobby. Not to worry, restaurants were close by, but the price of the room was high enought that expect the basic offerings at the cafe for free.

Hotel had spacious rooms and courteous receptionist but we were unfortunate enough to have the bad timing of having the elevators out of action just about when we were to check out and this was very inconvenient for us considering that we have 4 large heavy luggages plus a stroller with us. We have to carry all these in thw fire exit. The cleaning ladies also knew of our predicament but none decided to help.

I booked this place unseen as it was very close to Universal studios to take my family to the theme park as part of our PCH odyssey. We were told that you can walk to to Universal from the hotel and yes you can as long as you don't mind walking through the line of scary homeless people who crowd the underpass that leads there!! The hotel itself is modern and clean but soulless apart from the bar staff who were fab. The place stank of cannabis smoke all the time we were there which put me on ... Read more

It was good but always stay at Hilton when visiting Universal Studios. No where close to the place. The pool tiny the work out room is too. Very nice rooms if you don't mind a hike. Good bathroom but for the price I expected a little more.

We recently stayed at Blvd. Hotel to visit Universal City and do college tours. What a wonderful hotel. The rooms are incredibly spacious and modern. They don‚??t have any of that horrible 70‚??s decor but instead have beautiful white down comforters and wood floors. They even have a button that you use for room service/privacy instead of the old hanging signs. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I have nothing but positive reviews of this hotel. The only downside is you have to pay $24/day to... Read more

We recently stayed at the BLVD Hotel for a short trip to Universal Studios. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable - we had a room located on the 3rd floor away from the street and found it to be quiet. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with directions to the park, restaurants and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Wi-Fi is slow, but it is included with the room rate. Parking is $24 / night , you may need to leave your keys with the front desk as they have limited space and c... Read more

Had a nice stay one night. The room was modern and rather large. They also conveniently had a book of local restaurants that deliver, which worked well with my jetlag. Was very conveniently located to walk to Universal Studios, though it‚??s rather confusing how you actually make the short trip. The area is rather odd otherwise, and I‚??m not sure how good of an idea it would be to walk at night, though there are a few things open right nearby.

Good hotel for a Universal Studios visit. Walking distance to the shuttle stop at the bottom of the hill. Neat and clean place with paid indoor parking. Trip Advisor Review should not try to tell me how much to write, or youll get NOTHING next time

I hate this hotel passionately. The rooms smell like Super 8 mixed with septic tank and cleaning solution. The beds are SO UNCOMFORTABLE. You literally sink right in them - try to sit on the end of the bed and you're going to hit the ground. The lighting is awful - even within one single room will be a random mix of "warm" bulbs and "cool" bulbs, which is enough to drive anyone mentally mad. Paint missing all over. Most outlets don't work. Curtains are hung wrong so they won't completely cover t... Read more

We were just in town one night to visit Universal Studios. We chose this hotel because it is close to Universal (5 mins drive) and was far less expensive than the on-site hotels. Overall the hotel met our needs and was a reasonable price. The good: The room was spacious and the bathroom was well appointed. They have a small but comfortable lobby with a happy hour included. They don't have a restaurant but there is a little coffee kiosk and breakfast pantry items. There are some great restauran... Read more

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights while passing through the Los Angeles area. This hotel was nice and the staff very friendly. The hotel is small but the rooms are an ok size. The parking fee is high so we parked in the meter parking on the side of the hotel, nights were free so that worked out great. We spent about $3 a day on parking instead of $25 (which the hotel charges). Don't stay here if you want a swimming pool, it is very small.

Staff is friendly and welcoming for the most part. Check-in/check-out is quick and easy. The room is nice and clean. There was a smell of chlorine as we walked into the room, but honestly, it's not that bad and it goes away quickly. I have a sensitive nose and it didn't bother me at all. It is a 5 minute or less drive to Universal Studios--the hotel offers a shuttle there too, I believe. You could possibly walk there if you're into that, but you are going to be waking all day as it is, so...... Read more

The BLVD Hotel and Spa was the perfect hotel for my Hollywood stay. The hotel is very cutting edge, has a retro vibe, and the exact ambiance that I wanted for visiting Hollywood. The hotel and rooms were impeccably clean. The staff that checked me in, Josh W., was super sweet, friendly, and funny. The staff that checked me out, Rebecca, was the same. Super sweet, friendly, and very fast. It is a great family hotel. Universal is right around the corner. It's only a 10 minute walk. There... Read more

We had enjoyed the hotel with my family and would recommend to stay at Los Angeles for any visitor . The only missing is the breakfast quality , other than that everything was great . The welcoming , the front desk , the rooms , the service and even the booking for the universal studios is perfect

Read the fine print. There is $24 per day charge for parking. Hotel shuttle had "dead battery" on first day. Next day did not pick up every 15-20 minutes at Universal Studios front gate as stated. Room for three people had space for only two. Uncomfortable bed and bedding.

We stayed here the night prior to our day at Universal Studios. Quiet room (opposite side of Ventura Blvd). Large enough to fit a rollaway bed. The shower was nice once we figured out how to turn it on. Free shuttle to Universal City. The bad: $24/night for parking in a small lot, no shuttle back to hotel unless it is between 6-9 pm, no free breakfast, the complimentary drink was served only between 5-7. Service was nice, however.

Checked in on the 16 of July, Hotel lost all water due to crumbling city infrastructure, It started @ 2am and lasted till 5pm 17 July. The hotel had bottled water on hand for free and offered free rides to sister hotel to bathe and make oneself presentable. (they deducted $50. for that day). Rooms have space and is a high tech users dream, if you don't know how to use something the front desk is willing to help. The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. We stayed this hotel at least three times. It was good enough for the price. Furniture is standard like IKEA kind. The bed is clean, but not very comfortable. I think it is too soft. We liked the free a complimentary drink at the bar. Last time we stayed, we reserved two rooms by mistake because their confirmation email went to our junk mail holder. They didn't let us know we booked two rooms when we checked in. I wish they told us so that we could use another room for my friends. We disputed f... Read more

Staying at The BLVD Hotel as a great experience. The staff there were very courteous and professional. The location of the hotel was ideal, near Universal Studios. So if you're in the area and need a place to stay, I would recommend The BLVD Hotel.

The location is great if you want to visit Universal Studios, metro station or be somewhat close to Hollywood Bowl which is a short ride away. Checkin was quick and friendly, however we had booked a King Suite, which clearly describes the room in text and detail on their website. The room we got was not a suite and was filthy with warped floorboards and an old stained couch. We addressed the issue with the front desk and was given the room we had originally booked, however the front desk staff ... Read more
