"I'm not the kind of person that writes reviews, but got home so disappointed that had to share my experience with future guests. After weeks of planning my trip to Tahoe, thought I had chosen a very good place to stay. How wrong I was. There were several things that made our stay at this hotel a nightmare. First we opened the room and oh/ too small and I was traveling with my two kids. I had to stay in bed so they could walk. It smelled old. The bathroom ceiling was full of mold, and the paint was starting to come off. Then I turned on the TV and the remote control batteries were covered with black tape (universal remotes are cheaper and nicer than black tape). The night came and was excited to sleep in the memory foam mattress they loudly announce, well 3 AM and even my 9 year old awake. Terrible, uncomfortable. Next day went to look for a maid because didn't have enough towels, walked and walked. Nobody. I went to front office. None of the staff have uniform nor tags with their names, so I walked through them but thought were guests of the hotel. OK finally decided to change hotel, and asked for check out, and for my surprise they were additional charges on my credit card, that had never been told me before: parking fee and resort fee. That's crazy, ended paying almost the same amount I had already paid through bookit.com. We are still in winter, and the pool was closed, and there was not anything we could use. Parking fee??? Sure I'm not coming back or none of my family or friends... Almost forgot, this is a pet friendly hotel, but thought since we had no pets were going to stay away from the rooms with pets. That didn't happen; the room next to us had dogs and didn't stop barking/."
