Stayed at the Lakeland Villages for the presidents weekend. We had 4 families in the condo and having a 4 Bedroom with a loft was great because we could sleep 4 kids in the loft. The breakfast, which is a winter only thing, was lacking from even the minimal continental breakfast. Coffee was good however. The bathroom on the living room floor was barely big enough to turn around in. The toilet in our condo was loose and every now and then would be moved by someone as they were getting off of it. ... I think it would be wise if the front desk clerk Leslis, look into another position. Her demeanor does not suits a first point of contact for a hotel. She was very rude several times in which I made contact with her. I stayed there from March 2nd -5th. She should be advised to attend some customer service classes. Other wise the other staff was very pleasant and the place was wonderful.

My family stays here every year- the new summer minimum stay policies are crazy so you really have to go off season. Nonetheless, great accommodations and amenities. We hit the grocery store across the fwy on our way in and then settle into the large town homes and play on the private beach, swim in the moderately heated pool and BBQ dinner on the beach while the sun sets. There is a shuttle but we never end up taking it as there is no need to leave the resort! Our kids, age 2-10, ask constan... Read more

Visited this place during off-season. The place is essentially a collection of townhomes and condos that are individually owned. As such, no two are completely alike, though they are generally well done. We took a non-lake view one bedroom + loft for 3 nights and it was a nice place to stay in general. The in-laws took the master bed (which was pretty large and had its own heater) and we took the loft. Though the place was essentially a small house, it has full hotel service including luggage ... Our family has stayed here about every other year. We never seem to get the same condo twice but rarely have we been unhappy with the one that we ended up with. They are each unique and very fun and comfortable to be able to spread out with the family. The breakfast is really minimal but if you want to eat out there's plenty of places nearby. You can also bring in food and groceries to cook in your own kitchen. We really wouldn't want to pick another place.

We stayed at a Lakeview townhome: Unit 621. Each unit is individually owned and decorated and managed by Aston. This unit had a great view, almost as good as the lakefront ones. We enjoyed the large, comfortable living area with a well appointed kitchen, but ended up spending most time on the deck and the beach. Although we were fewer in number, the unit can accommodate 10-12 people. The bedrooms and bathrooms felt a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. The property is about a mile awa... Read more

we have just spent two days here in Lake Tahoe after our drive from Yosemite. These are very smart town houses situated next to the lake. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and tastefully decorated, plus balcony. The two double bedrooms are downstairs along with a small bathroom/ shower. Next floor up is the living quarters and kitchen, as well as a further toilet and bedroom with bunk beds. The top floor has a mezzanine with a further two beds. Upon checking in, we were entertained by a really friendly and helpful staff. We engaged him in a long conversation about the possible things that our group of 20 can engage in at Lake Tahoe. We were told that this is not a hotel but individually owned homes that the owners rent out when its not being used. Our villa has 4 rooms and 3 toilet and bath. My extended family (4 generations, 13 people) rented one of these units from the owner last week. Here are some thoughts: Pros: Really nice location, beach access, good parking, very nice scenery. You can go to one of the resorts on the Nevada side, but this place has done a really nice job of keeping the natural look with lots of trees and greenery. There was a hot tub, kiddie pool, and regular pool on scene, with the pool being relatively small and the hot tub being pretty large, which mak... Read more

Stood here at the end of May. Place is really nice and good for families. Rooms are right on the lake and plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful and the shuttle they offer was great. I called shuttle to take me to the casinos at 11:45pm, 15 minutes before they stopped running and they were still willing to take me. That was much appreciated and I would stay here anytime.

There were 22 of other in 2 lakefront 4 bedroom units. We had grandchildren, children and parents and it was the best. The lakefront units are so lovely. Open your slider and you are on the beach. Every room/place is privately owned and have their own set of issues. Many of the places our family rented were without air conditioning in 80+ weather. The decor and overall look of most of the places are really outdated and disappointing for the price. The customer service was above average, but when it's busy there aren't enough chairs on the beach and they don't even give you hand soap in your room. Never again.

It's been just one thing after another. No air conditioning, parking lot was completely full when we came back at 3:30 in the afternoon, (considering I have a walking boot that makes parking close even more important) and one problem after another with the room. It's been a horrible vacation and we will only be staying 2 nights instead of 7. Maybe it's our townhouse which is dark, musty and extremely out dated but I would not recommend this to anyone.

This resort is comprised of privately owned condominiums managed by the Aston corporation. We had a nicely situated room on the second floor of the lodge. However, we arrived very early on our check-in day ( 9:15 am) and when we were shown the block of rooms in our price range, we requested the corner room. In spite of the fact that we were first to check-in, we were not given this room, and no explanation was given. More important, while they do not advertise that there is no guaranteed p... Read more

Spent 6 nights at this hotel, in two different condos. Each unit very different, one very updated, the other not . We traveled to many hotels over a two week period in California, both of these condos had the worst bed linens and towels, worst WiFi and the worst soundproofing by far. Also, No air-conditioning. This was our second visit here. The biggest problem with this place is that the condos are individually owned and you never know what kind of condition you will get. For the price we paid, I feel like we were robbed. The standard of the apartment was for the most part poor. The couches were so worn out that we didn't even bother sitting on them. I called and complained about large ants found in the apartment. We had to complain 3 times until someone showed up. He was holding a bottle of pesticid... Read more

We've stayed here several times, both in a condo and the hotel. Our daughter stayed in a much nicer condo than ours (remodeled, much lighter and brighter), with a higher price but the remodeling made a huge difference, and that condo was closer to the lake and pool. There is a lot of potential here: townhouses with multiple rooms, right on the lake, two pools, good location to dining, free shuttle, etc. However it has two big problems that are unacceptable for a rate of this type: 1) They need to hire better full time service staff if they want to take it to the next level. They seem to hire foreign exchange students so you have some quasi-stoner kids that don't seem to give a crud that are cleaning your room, renting you a kayak, cooking your burger. I... Read more

The condos at this lakeside resort are clean and comfortable. They are stocked with the bare minimum--only cookware no spices or anything. Nice pools and the beach is a short walk. Love having the beach/pool option! Playground for the kids and kids activities during the summer. They also have a shuttle to take you to the state line. Only thing is be mindful of what room you pick since the resort is by the highway. It can be noisy depending on what room you end up in. I would stay here again.
