We stayed at The Lodge at Sonoma during our recent impromptu trip from Florida to California Wine Country. It is helpful to have Marriott Rewards membership and points as booking was very easy from our cell phone since we weren't sure how far we were going to travel on any particular day. We made the reservation 5 minutes prior to arrival and were welcomed with a ready room and a complimentary wine tasting taking place adjacent the lobby (I believe this is a Wednesday event). The young man who... Read more

Accommodations are superb. Spanish outdoor flair, inside cozy w/ fireplace & a beautiful/comfortable decor. Outdoor pool was sunny with comfortable seating. Excellent wine & pairings. They provide a shuttle to town.

Stayed there for two days this week - had a room in the front on the second floor - Had a balcony, large room, very comfortable. Very clean. We stayed in a room in the front n the main building - I would request an upstairs room in the front. Pet friendly, too. Great restaurants nearby, maybe 1/2 mile or so to the Sonoma historic square, but maybe a tad too far to walk to..

The hotel and rooms are beautiful. We had a fireplace in our room and a private balcony to sit on. Loved the bathroom. Beautiful pool and lounge areas. Aveda products in the bathrooms. Not an Aveda spa. I do not recommend the body lavender scrub treatment. Too abrasive. Gave me a rash, my skin was sore for days! The restaurant that is attached is very pricey. Had dry swordfish. Small portions. The bar is nice. I had delicious (small portion) taco's there. Recommend leaving the resort for fo... Read more

When we first pulled in, we weren't sure about this location. It is on the one busy street in Sonoma. Looks were deceiving. Once inside, the beautiful lobby and entrance into the pool area gives you the feel of a true resort. If you stay, book the cottages. Very quiet and romantic and allow you to walk through the pathways that lined with rose bushes. We did not use the spa but walked through and the private pool area is spectacular. Sonoma is a beautiful area. Can't wait to go back!
