This could be such a wonderful property, unfortunately it is poorly maintained. The building is in serious disrepair, dirty common areas, and mildew odor in many of the buildings. Positive - good breakfast.

This hotel looks great in pictures but was dated and in need of a major overhaul. F & B staff at breakfast was not well trained and focused on cell phones/texting, not guests. The fitness center seemed like an after thought and equipment didn't always work well. The staff at the bar was very attentive and the service there was excellent. The in room coffee was colored water without good taste. I would not return after this experience.

First trip to Sonoma Wine Country with my son and we hadn't planned our activities. David Zwicker, the Guest Experience Manager, offered exceptional experience and guided us to find a couple of wineries to visit (Kendall Jackson and Simi) that gave us an in depth understanding of the vineyards and the wine making process. We also enjoyed the redwoods at nearby Armstrong State Park at David's recommendation. Our visit was exceptional and memorable!

I like to start with whatever positive i can. The staff throughout the property were SO friendly and nice, and tried to make everything better....they just had such poor material to deal with. We held a business meeting here, so I didn't really have a choice -- i usually avoid Hilton properties because they're typically (in my experience) so beat up. This one lived up to the parent company's reputation (with me at least). On check-in i was 'upgraded' to a 'suite' (a quaint euphemism for a bit ... Read more

We booked this hotel at the last minute for two nights after a horrible night at a nearby Motel 6. It was a great setup for us and our two golden retrievers - large room, direct access to a grassy area outside, quiet. A great home base for exploring wine country! I would have liked to see a continental breakfast included for the price we paid, but overall, it was a good experience.

This older facility was a disappointment: it's sadly in need of maintenance. On the exterior we saw many examples of peeling or missing paint and the management hadn't even bothered to replace the letter "t" that fell off the sign out front. Inside, we found peeling wallpaper and shabby carpet. The housekeepers were amazingly noisy as they worked, shouting at each other down the hallways and slamming doors with no concern for the racket. The front desk crew were friendly enough, but this hotel i... Read more

We stayed here for the night as part of a trip to the Sonoma wine country. There is no doubt that this hotel is right in the heart of Sonoma Valley and many fantastic wineries are within a short drive of the property. The property itself is quite large, there are over 4 separate buildings. Each building is named after a wine varietal which is neat. There are pictures of many of the more famous wineries throughout the hallways of the property. The hallways are nice enough but ready for an upgr... Read more

The rooms are in definite need of a remodel. Chardonnay building had odd smell. Our room on the first floor was worn and the sound when the air conditioner kicked on was like a front loading washing machine during its spin cycle. Hinge was too tight on toilet seat so cover routinely crashed down on us. Towels were much closer to those from a budget hotel. Friendly front desk staff, but otherwise an unremarkable place. Easy off and on Highway 101.

We spent a night at this property with another family to get away from the San Francisco chill. The property served our purposes well. The pool and hot tub are nice, our room was clean and the staff friendly. I give the property 4 stars because it had everything we needed. It's not, though, a 4-star resort, though it tries. Staff is nice, pool view is nice also, but the rooms and hallways are very outdated and shabby looking. 3 out of 4 meals from room service arrived cold. There are better properties at more convenient locations from which to explore Santa Rosas

This is a very nice hotel in a beautiful setting, overlooking a gorgeous valley. It is well kept, with an excellent staff and good food. The location is ideal for going to vineyards and the front desk staff is very helpful in giving directions and recommendations.

The place is a little outdated. There's really no view - highway on one side, hill on the other and the hotel is basically between them. Was there for a work function. Conference rooms are a little tight and its just very dark everywhere inside the place.Their website pictures make it look like a palace but it is not. Just not a "Hilton".

This is a nice older hotel, very clean friendly staff. We stayed 3 nights and liked this hotel. Housekeeper staff could have done a little better job with the little details but overall we loved this hotel. Over the years we have stayed here 4 times. We like the location and the staff. Thank you

We were there over Labor Day weekend for a wedding. We booked the "special" wedding rate which seemed to be more pricey than the standard rate but since other family members were staying there and they offered a shuttle to the wedding site we booked a room for two nites. As soon as we stepped out of the car, the smell was awful - no fault of the hotel - but I found out later it was fertilizer smell. Welcome to wine country! We took a little vacation to California Wine country. We stayed for several days at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country. The check in process was fast and easy, (even with the computers nonfunctional at the time). The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean, a little dated, but the beds were very comfortable. We were a little disappointed there were no refrigerators in the room. And they only have Pepsi products in the vending machines. Wish there was more variety in the machines. O... Read more

We stayed here to go back and forth to a wine event in nearby Sonoma (about a half hour travel each way). In terms of nearness to wine events in Sonoma, this is a good choice. It is also relatively expensive. The hotel is a complex of separate buildings. The main building holds reception, restaurants, and a large pool. We expected more than we received for the price. The rooms are well kept. However, charging electronic devices is a chore as the desk in the room does not have a charging outlet... Read more

I stayed at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country this past weekend with my girlfriend. This was the first time either one of us had visited the area and the hotel served as a good location to access much of what Sonoma County has to offer. The check-in process was smooth, with the hotel lobby located near the entrance of the property's lot. At least during our visit, there were no bellman to greet guests at the lobby or assist with luggage; while this was fine for us since we had very little luggage, ... Read more

Decent hotel , not 100% up to Hilton standards but it looked like they were updating it. Room was nice and clean hall way and outside was a bit dated. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We got in at 7pm and left at 6 am so we did no try the restaurant . It looked nice.

Our overall experience at this Hilton was average at best. The lobby, guest rooms/baths are "tired" and could renovation. The staff was pleasant but certainly didn't go out of their way to make our stay memorable. Upon check-in, I mentioned that we are Hilton Honors members and visiting the area to celebrate our anniversary. The location is convenient but I expected much higher quality for a Hilton.

I was very disappointed in the Hilton. Upon arrival in taxi there is no doorman to greet and assist with luggage. Check in was quick and again no offer of assistance to get to your room. The rooms are spacious but there's no fridge, notepaper or pen. Mediocre finishing in the room. I felt ripped off at the price point for the Levi Granfondo

Front desk was great as to be expected of Hilton properties. Our room was big and accommodating. The restaurant floor was being remodeled so the bar was limited. One of the best I've had like it. The carpets in the public spaces could use some updating, but otherwise, very nice.

While this property looked good on line, it did not live up to the pictures. The outside looked nice, but the rooms were very run down. This hotel needs to be gutted. Also, the rooms weren't even clean. I moved the phone next to the bed and there were chips under it. Also, the sheets were clearly not changed. For $200 a night, I expect a bit more. Finally, you could hear guests in other rooms as soon as they were awake. The floors creaked and you could hear the shower from other rooms.

Property in desperate need of remodeling - dank, moldy rooms, dirty carpets in hallway, dark, dank, depressing restaurant.
