The location is one block away from the beach, no beach view. Perhaps the upper story (2nd) have a slight view of water, not sure. The lower rooms by the pool have no view and I had little sense of being near a beach since that street is full of buildings. You need to walk maybe five minutes around the block to get to the beach area, which is nice. I had to call (rather walk to front, since phone was not working) the management immediately upon entering. The lights over the bed strobbed for both... Read more

Our room was quiet comfortable and near the Beach and restaurants. It was very reasonably priced and had a comfortable bed and bathroom amenities. The parking was free and the rooms located behind locked gates for security. there was a pool available and the grounds and rooms well maintained. If you have any mobility issues this may not be the place for you as there are a number of different levels reachable only by stairs. Management was friend and helpful recommending places to eat.

Someone like me who travels for about 2-3 months in a year, I find most the hotels of a certain standard give almost the same experience. And most the time difference between good and a great stay is the service that you get. This hotel/motel most definitely wins your heart with the service. Komal, the young, chirpy girl at the reception always greets you with a smile, goes out of her way to help you, gives you insightful information, helps you with the best breakfast selection and ensures this ... The rooms and the grounds were good - but what made our stay awesome was the staff. The gentleman who checked us in, the woman on staff when we left, and Frank the general manager were all so friendly and competent and really made sure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you!

This inn was absolutely perfect, especially because of the innkeeper Frank (and his wife Linda). We traveled from LA to SB for an overnight and could not have been more welcome during our stay. The inn itself was a block from the ocean, it was clean, there was continental breakfast, you could rent bikes on site (10$ an hour or 25$ a day), there was a pool, free parking, a mini-fridge, and everyone was so friendly! Not to mention it is only a mile or so from State street. Frank is probably the ni... Read more

Lower your expectations and you will not be disappointed. The check in girl is positively delightful and the location is great. The room is a CA1960's apartment minus the green shag rug that had been replaced with indoor/outdoor carpeting. The breakfast pastries are very good and the rooms are spacious.

Like all the Reviews say, it´s true, Frank and the team really welcome you. Service is simply great. My examples; My wife asked for Dinner recommendations, and violá we didnt just have the perfect recommendation, the reservations were done as well. When we checked out, and I forgot my ipad in the room, we were promptly called so my drive back to get it wasnt so far to make it a painful mistake. The niffty breakfast pastries for breakfast, The nicely kept rooms, The good Wireless service, The ... Read more

Truly the check-in, check-out and breakfast interactions with the owners here were beyond welcoming. We had one of the rooms with a gas fireplace, and it was very cozy and much appreciated in late November. Breakfast has quite a large variety of foods - boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal and milk, pastries, bagels, etc. A block from the beach, and a 30 minute walk or $6 uber to State Street and the downtown strip. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very nice, clean the bed was nice and towels and sheets white. The breakfast was good, you sit outside to eat so if busy you could wait for a table, but worth the wait. Not many places to get something to eat unless you got into the car.

Clean, comfortable, updated hotel with fireplace in room. Super friendly staff and a generous continental breakfast provided, coffee available all day in lobby. If you are a beach lover, it is located 1 block from the ocean, easy walk on bike trail to Stearns Wharf. If you're looking for restaurants and nightlife, you may need a car or taxi to the main street area as the shuttle service ends at 6:00 PM. Overall, a nice hotel at a decent price.
